Honestly I not trying to get on peoples back, it’s stressful enough the wait, but imagine if someone was silently lurking on here and they seen there post from Facebook being posted on here and seeing someone have a negative response (even if it is directed at DLA) to their kids being awarded, just doesn’t sit right with me. All our kids deserve their awards and we shouldn’t have to fight the system to get it but that’s how it is and there’s nothing at the moment we can do to change it. As I said I’ve been in these threads since December and I haven’t seen as much negative responses as I have in the last few so just wanted to make sure this women was okay and give her a little bit of advice to take a break from here because these threads do not help the anxiety at all X

I’m 20/01 and constantly being fobbed off when I ring, it’s with decision maker, it isn’t, it is, then again it isn’t, it’s so frustrating especially seeing people end of February being awarded already, I feel like just giving up ringing and waiting to receive a letter but godnose how long that will be x

I’ve put the date it was awarded is this wrong ?

You need to tell them the date it started ( backdated date ) not the date you was awarded

You need to ask them to backdate it from the date they received your paperwork so your SD 😊

It would only be your scan date if you printed the forms off and sent them in if you called for forms it would be the date you called for forms

Oh right ok …thanks for correcting me 🙈 I can’t even remember the date I called them so not sure how I would do that myself when it eventually comes to me changing that

I would go on uc and do the change how you did it before if it will allow you to then write on your journal and explain there was an error with the date you put.

When they tell you what your award is they will say what date the award started which will be when you called for the form or it will say on the letter when it comes

@Kirstylou91 i understands ur frustration. Phone date 4/12 SD 18/1 and still waiting . I’m happy 4 ppl bein awarded . But at same time it’s hard seeing ppl way after our dates . I feel that they get a bunch each but if they go on annual leave/off sick they stay on that DM desk til they bk . I can’t think of another reason y so many dates all over the place . Hi all, my child's DLA is due to end 9th June, ( currently going through renewal ) I called Thursday and it still hasn't been looked at, I'm trying to hold off on calling!! Do they normally do renewals a week before 🤷🏼‍♀️ ( not done a renewal before ) x

Same end date as my child's and I'm in renewal atm still waiting, have you had your decision yet? X

Hey!! No I've not heard yet, I phoned on 30th and was told it was with a case manager and should have a decision sometime next week, going to phone up on Wednesday and see if there's any updates. In feb/March it was 3 weeks before people were getting decisions but recently it's literally been days before, there is someone on here who's due to run out without yesterday or Monday and they've not heard anything?

It’s not the people I’m frustrated with it’s the dates and DLA its got nothing to do with the parent being awarded they deserve it for their child , it’s the date some
people r still waiting and there SD is Jan how can u then award aload from middle Feb it’s the system it isn’t right, yes award the urgent claims that’s 100% fair but what ur not understanding is u think im being abrupt to people when there awarded no it’s the SD I’m happy for them
just not happy with late feb SD that’s y I will
say what the hell how can they be awarded late Feb and we’re all still waiting it’s got nothing to do with the parent being awarded just purely scan dates.
