It’s annoying me all I wanna do is become my daughters Carrer and get UC off my back with back to work schemes and all that crap even tho I say my daughter needs me they say can’t do nothing till u get awarded DLA it’s a joke

it was the same for me when first applying. I had to take ds with me every week for all of a 60 second conversation because ds would have a meltdown. I ended up demanding video calls which they actually agreed to and made my appointments every 2 weeks. They could quite clearly see his difficulties. Hope you get your answer soon x

Honestly UC don’t give a crap about if you have a child with needs they really don’t care as much as I tell them they just say you have to wait like today I had a meeting the woman said you on any courses I said no how can I have to look after my daughter 24/7 they really are uneducated

Ring back and ask to be put through to someone who can tell you! 🤞

Yea I thought they award them quicker then others due to having a condition like that

I did and they both told me that they didn't give out MR decisions over the phone. Not sure if that's true or means it's based news

@Mummyof4childrenThat’s what it’s guna be like for me aswell I’ve got a commitments appointment on the 9th will be telling them I can’t commit to looking for work as my son requires full full time care from myself
I didn’t know if u apply for carers they don’t badger u to look for work do u get paid separately for carers then it comes of ur UC £ for £

Yea u can only get carrers if you get middle rate care on dla im just hoping and praying for a good outcome for my daughter UC are a bunch of uneducated people

I think carrers allowance gets deducted from your uc but then you ask uc to put on the disabled element and carrers element I believe

Yea I will just getting frustrated with it all now seeing all these awards going past and with SD more then mine and some the same as mine get awards it’s very annoying

im ringing again next week I don’t care if there rude ill say not to be funny but at the beginning of this call it states to treat people equally im talking to u with respect to please do the same, anyway it shouldn’t matter when u call its our claims at the end of the day if they didn’t piss around taking so fucking long to deal with claims we all wouldn’t be so anxious

I’m calling next week too I’m gunna mention I know people with the same SD as mine and some later have there awards and I’m still waiting

First time posting . SD 20/1
I had a call from a DM around two weeks ago saying making a decision that day , whilst on the phone kept use the word IF an explaining that due to my daughters age she would not be entitled to mobility. Also discussed that my form was sent bk 3 days out of the allotted time frame . I explained that the post is really poor around my area . He said that’s fine . Told me wait for letter .

called following day to see if they could tell me . Only to be told expected a letter asking for birth certificate. since sent this off and waiting to hear .

does this sound like a positive outcome? Due to them asking for her birth certificate after been with DM

@Kirstylou91 I did say to her my two letters I was sent state 15 weeks and mine been 15 weeks ( obviously I seen/heard it taking longer ) she said well obviously the letter wrong isn't it.
