Nc SD 7th march

🤞

Same SD and mine is also NC today I revived a letter apologising for the wait and that they still haven’t made a decision and it can take up to 15 weeks did you receive one too?

I'm on hold currently! I got through but the computer died so they hung up and I've just rung back. But 13 minutes on hold for this time of day is cracking. Hoping it's a good omen! I'll let you know how I get on... but maybe you should!

I got through! I've been passed to a DM this morning, and they've sent an information request to the GP. So I suppose it's down to how long our GP takes to process that and send it back. She said they'll allow up to 4 weeks as they understand GPs are busy. I did try to ring them too (obviously having a high spoons day myself because me and the phone have a hatehate relationship, ha!) But they're on staff training! Sigh. So will ring them either later or in the morning and nudge them under the guise of asking them how long in general they expect to take for such.
Did you ring?

I’ve just had a SEND entitlements officer call me so she’s going to help me with it all if they do come back and decline it which I’m relieved about but she did say from all the evidence I sent I did well so she don’t see why I wouldn’t be awarded it for my little one…she doesn’t think he would be accepted for the mobility though only for the care part but we shall see

Tonichatt2288 · 01/05/2025 13:57

Sarahlou15 · 30/04/2025 14:45

Same as me to be honest
but I will ring on the weeks now and say it’s 26weeks and then 27weeks then lose my shit lol

Have you rang and been asked to be put through to disputes x

Sarahlou15 · 01/05/2025 13:59

Yes that is who told me we are working on 28th October

staybyyou · 01/05/2025 14:01

Just called and my DS was declined. I will put in for a MR, so I’m looking forward to another mammoth wait. I’ve asked for the statement sent in the post and I will respond with my reasons. There was absolutely no mention of one of his (more severe) conditions in the reasoning, which I found a bit bizarre.

I think it’s positive that that are speaking with your GP @WaryPoet

Me too chick, the SEND entitlement officer said she’s never knows them to be longer that 16 weeks but I did say oh they are very much behind at the moment so I think it’s going to be longer than that for me but I’m going to just wait and try my best to be patient…fingers crossed we hear from them soon

It's bizzare some people are awarded so quick from what I see on fb, and some are still waiting since October 🤦‍♀️ I've very little patience left ha

Oh no! I'm sorry :( that's so disappointing. Do you have to wait for your letter to come through to he able to get the ball rolling? To have to wait so long for a negative result is awful!

They contacted my sisters GP for her claim, and it was apparently a digital checklist that the GP completed and sent back same day, and she had a decision two days later. Keeping everything crossed.

Lurker here... Just thought I'd add my progress if it helps others...

My son was diagnosed autistic age 22 months, since then has been HRC for 2 years, 3 years, then 5 years. He's high functioning, in mainstream school without an EHCP or anything but has severe anxiety and sleep issues.

His renewal was due 10/06 - I sent the forms off 02/02, I didn't put much info tbh, just his most recent paediatrition notes, and then wrote please see previous claims for a lot of the rest of the form, which I then spent the last month fretting about! However, just got his award letter today 01/05, staying the same for another 5 years at HRC & LRM until 2030 (he'll be 17 then, I don't know why they've done that?)

I received one of them letters and my SD is 6/2 it’s annoying because I’m seeing people on Facebook being awarded from forms being received from march and I don’t know if there lying to make people worry

YourShyKhakiTiger · 01/05/2025 15:08

Congratulations on your son’s award, they’ve done his renewal quickly, I’m guessing it’s because he’s been on it for a long time. My eldest daughters claim is until she is 17, it’s just so it’s carrying on while your waiting for the pip decision

Hi all, got the letter through about my sons renewal after being told the decision on the phone.

At first i was a bit shocked the letter includes in the first part: "We have looked at the facts, evidence and the points you raised. As a result we have changed the decision"

I thought WOW they've changed the LRM to HRM like we asked!

Then i checked the date and realised that this was before i called them, checked the letter and there is was, still LRM.

However there is a section that says: "What information we used"

despite sending a total of 8 different documents including:
EHCP
SALT
2 x Clinic Letters
1 x School Statement
2 x Parent Statement
Claim Form.

they only used:
"Information from your claim form.
A medical report than you sent to us"

so no wonder my son didnt get the HRM they didnt even bother checking the rest of the evidence!!

Has anyone else that had a renewal had anything else in that section?

Thanks,

just bumping this for visibility

My renewal date is day before but not heard anything as of yet so might phone tomorrow! This is my first renewal so not really in the know of how it fully works! My little lad is suspect asd adhd been on waiting list since December 2023 and waiting times for our area is 110 weeks so we won't get a pediatrician appointment till jan 2026 so still a way off yet!
He's also asthmatic, had 2 eye operations in April 2023, we was awarded mrc in October 2023 now our first renewal!

I've seen a few renewals with dates after mine being award, let me know how it goes when you ring as I was going to wait until the 8th next week as it's bang on 4 weeks before renewal date but I'm honestly losing the will to wait with it 😂
