Thankyou

Edited

Can I ask when she turned 2? I was awarded for my daughter who sounds very similar to your child, I included a statement from the nursery nurse who referred her to a community paediatrician and my daughter was awarded HRC. I have read a few times that they are really picky at awarding DLA if they are under 3. I wish you all the best for the MR as you should definitely be awarded DLA x

Hi all! Been following this for a while and decided to join you all.
Nc sd 3/2
Almost 15 weeks...... I don't think I'll be hearing back soon though!

NC scan date 31st Jan £1023 paid into my account this morning!!!!! 🥳 🎉 🪅

I sent:

ADHD report
Dyslexia report
Irlen report
Dyspraxia report
Report from school
EHCPNA agreement to do the assessment from my LA

Sending wishes for everyone else to get theirs through. I'm going to get my son some clothes and book a regular taxi for school so my husband can up his hours at work. I've been crying this morning it finally feels like a bit of good luck! Son is 15 so I guess this will be until he's 16 then PIP?

Also I think that's medium rate by the looks of it?

Congratulations same Scan date as me I'm still waiting lol xx

She is almost 2 1/2 , she was referred to the community paediatrician in nov 2024 , she has just been accepted for assessment for ehcp , only done one day at nursery but they wrote the report to say she needs one to one to be able to continue there and highlighted alot of what I said on my application, when I done the original application I only had a letter to say she had been accepted for assessment by the paediatrics , and a letter from early years saying she has suspected autism and a clear hearing test . So am hoping with this extra evidence , speech language assessment report
nursery report , and ehcp assessment acceptance it might help
Thankyou for your reply

Are renewals also 25weeks? I sent my renewal form last week of January, will I be waiting until July?

Renewal decisions are done before the award runs out, they seem to be all over the place though some are getting awarded way in advance and some the week it runs out. They told me on the phone they do it close to award date so that if rewarded your claim just carries on with the new rate. What’s your renewal date? It must be soon if you sent form back last week of January

Mommaof2babas · 28/04/2025 21:06

Renewal
Scan date 28/02
End claim date 09/06

My dates are similar have you heard yet?

offnick · 15/05/2025 00:06

Does anyone know when looking at renewals do they takw
the history into account? Dd has had since she was 6 months old and is now 14 but I'm scared she won't get it now!

Lulu444 · 15/05/2025 01:21

Hi all, called today for an update, they made the decision on 10/05/25 to keep the reward for the same amount HRC and LRM : ) I’m really happy and am unsure if I will put in for a mandatory reconsideration, may do though as he has new diagnosis letters since I sent for the renewal and some other bits that I didn’t have when I did the renewal, claim was due to end 16/05/25. Good luck everyone I hope you all are not waiting too much longer to hear something 🤞🏻

Yes, they do. One of my children is moving from DLA to PIP this year (a worse battle, I’m sure). And the adviser told me that they have requested all the information from her DLA claim to add to the evidence.

I’m going through this with my oldest daughter I called yesterday it’s with a case manager an will have a decision by next week they called me 2 weeks ago for some information said she doesn’t need to have any assessments an using all evidence from dla she has asd and adhd atm on dla she only receives standard no mobility lady who phoned me said it could change

Dd is 14 and has had it since 6 months but I'm worried with all the changes she won't get it again she has eczema, asthma, food allergies, chronic bowel issues and adhd. I have actually got more evidence than ever but where she's not been sleeping and going through a really tough time just don't think I have filled out the forms properly!

That's good to know as DD's has been consistent but now we have the adhd diagnosis thrown in the mix too

Pip requested all Dds info from dla and I received a letter saying they didn't have any information dd had been on dla for 7 years.
DD was awarded pip at a higher rate than her dla.

Hiii, no I've not yet, I phoned up yesterday and got told it'll be done by my end date which is 3 weeksish but they said it wasn't with a decision maker as of yesterday!
Good luck on your renewal!

klouc · 15/05/2025 09:07

Just called to query my sons award as received a text saying he is entitled to it and they said they are unable to tell me over the phone and I’m to wait 7-10 days for a letter!
How annoying!!

NC sd 16/1. Awarded MRC yesterday. Rang this morning for update and was told over the phone. son has OCD and ongoing therapy and on pathway. Happy with this result however they stated i sent forms back late so back pay to scan date not original date i called.

Did they tell you award over the phone? They wouldn’t tell me this morning.

I called yesterday, was told they can’t tell me the decision over phone. Posted here and someone said call again.
I called again through option 2, spoke to a lovely man, he said I had to call through to general enquiries (option 4) and they can tell me. But was on hold until 5pm so gave up.

I'm currently listening to the lovely (annoying) music on option 4 to see if they can tell me the decision made.

Congrats!! My son was awarded HRC no mobility but he’s 4, was 3 when claim started. So didn’t expect to get mobility.

Scan date was day after forms should have been back, so thought it wouldn’t get backdated from when I asked for forms, but they are!!
