It’s after you’ve pressed for Dla there is a option 4 for anything else Dla related

NC SD 22/01 phoned up again today to check if new evidence has been scanned, it hasn’t yet. I said I was just panicking incase the claim went through without it and got told that won’t happen as they are taking 25 weeks now and my claim definitely won’t be looked at until July.

but I keep seeing Jan dates being awarded so frustrating!

I just called up as my date is 23/01 and she said it's where it needs to be but is taking up to 25 weeks. I hate the waiting game.

I’d Love to know what order they work in be so much easier if was online to check

From what I’ve seen they get sent to the dm in piles that are a Tuesday - Monday scan date so if a dm finishes before another dm working on that week then they will go onto the next week, that’s why some have been awarded at the end of January and some are still wanting from the week before.

NC sd 16/1. Awarded MRC yesterday. Rang this morning for update and was told over the phone. son has OCD and ongoing therapy and on pathway. Happy with this result however they stated i sent forms back late so back pay to scan date not original date i called.

My daughter recieves HRC already, and we get UC carer elememt for her. Can i get the carer element for my 2nd child or not? Thanks in advance. Goodluck everyone x

Received a letter from CA and Informed by UC claims are ending due to not being on DLA mid September time. Called DLA they never received forms I never even thought to check
asked 3 times for new forms took over a month to receive. Form came 1/11/2024
had to wait again for autism letter and evidence as had to send it all over with previous form which was lost. Sent the form 20th January after finally receiving everything I need to. Called them 2 weeks later only to be told I could have sent the forms back without evidence and gathered that while I was waiting 😭 I didn’t know! But they did recieve it 3/2/2025 and I got a letter on the 1/5/2025 saying they’ve received and now I’ve got 15 weeks to wait making the entire Claim process 13 months.

Our scan date is 21/01/25. I called the other day to ask if I have time to submit more evidence to be added to DD’s claim. This was a email from the SENCO which states she’s been referred for OT assessment and information about things she finds difficult. The adviser said it hasn’t been looked at but shouldn’t take too much longer. She was very nice.

I’m sorry to hear that some of you are calling and getting rude advisers. It’s not our fault that they have a backlog, is it?

My scan date was 28/1 with a case manger from what I was told yesterday

I've just had a letter saying that they've agreed to backdate because of the circumstances but nothing about how much and when so yeah waiting game again x

i applies for my son in january for the following reasons:
suspected adhd
suspected asd
severe eczema
severe allergies including anaphylaxis
speech disorder

i have sent evidence of everything above excpet the spld report as we only just got his assesment in april, they have now sent a report stating he has a severe speech sound disorder, should i send this to DLA or leave it? im not sure if this evidence will add to his claim or if this isnt really classed as a care need? she does state in the report what i have told her about his frustration when people dont understand him and how that can lead to him being quite violent and she does mention about me suspecting adhd and asd and how he struggled to concentrate on what she was asking him to do... just not sure if this evidence will hold my claim back or not as its been 17 weeks already now and im just getting frustrated with the waiting

Yes I think you get separate disabled elements for each child but not double the carer elements.

NC SD 20/1

Rang yesterday to be told 25 weeks, wasn’t with a DM or case manager…

Rang today after seeing an award from 31/1 and was told decision was made yesterday but couldn’t tell me.

Rang back to be put thought and the award was better than we could have hoped with LRM and MRC till Feb29
This is going to mean so much and means I can access/afford the additional support needed.

Thank you so much everyone on here who has listened to my moaning, provided help and support and I wish you all lucky and a quicker resolution to your claims

I'm starting to feel a bit more optimistic and positive seeing these awards going through end of January. I still have to wait August/September. I'm hoping July. After school finishes be nice to take our sick child away for a few days/nice days out/special things she needs in the summer holidays.
However, surprised some since November and December are still waiting.
I dont believe it's done in order at all. At random and trying to maybe do in order as well. I think its also quite shoddy that decision makers only work on Tuesdays.

if you have a second adult on your uc claim they can add the carers element under there name, you can’t have 2 children under your name

NC SD 17/01 was told Friday it wasn’t with a case manager or DM, called today decision has been made today, but couldn’t tell me over phone. Now the dreaded wait for the letter 😅
how long does the payment take to reach you after decision has been made? I’m stressing now that I’m going to have to go to MR 😔

I got told a decision made but she wouldn't tell me and said wait for the letter. This made me panic . So she transferred me to someone who would as i said i couldn't wait . He got MRC. So not all bad news x

He would need to log into his and do a change stating that he now cares for your child more than 35 hours a week and then put a note on your journal saying you’ve just received your dla decision and ask for it to be backdated

20/11 MR 25 weeks today! I’m not going to bother ringing until Friday! Reckon still might have a couple of weeks 😩

Going on my past awards it would be Monday but if you don’t want to wait call them back and asked to be put through to someone who can tell you the decision.
