Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Dla renewal - 4/11 current award ends 28th Feb.
DLA NC- 19/9 (16yr old now so pip applied for)
PIP NC- 12/12 (phone call assessment 15/1)

SD -23/09, new claim. Still in holding queue :)

MR 29/8 awarded on Facebook. I’m 21/08 for MR and not even been looked at yet 😣

I no how you feel mine is the 20/08 and read quite a few around this date feel like ringing as much as I want to know I kind of don’t lol if you know what I mean

I hate ringing to be told it hasn’t even been looked at yet. Because my MR is so long and detailed. I know it’s not a quick read. Breaks my heart a little every time.

NC SD 10/9. Woke up this morning to back pay equal to MRC which is amazing! Very pleased with that. Not sure when it was awarded or how long for as I haven’t rung them, will update when I get his letter.

Scan date 9/9 new claim woke up to a back pay of 1935 this morning, now need to find out for who it's for as I had two new claims on the same date.

@BluntBee congrats! I think the reference number from the DLA is on the bank payment reference if that makes sense so you should be able to match it up!

Are there any useful links on how to do a MR?

In what sense? I don’t believe so it’s pretty straight forward.

1. you can either call up and request MR, they will give a statement of reasons and then you can explain on the phone why you disagree and then follow up with evidence

2. await your decision letter once recieved you can read the statement of reasons and send a statement back stating why you disagree and log an MR that way.

wait for an MR is between 20-25 weeks atm so I would advice call and log as that will be your new scan date. If you require support with MR you can always contact some disability charities or Citizen advice bureau for legal advice. As with any benefit they can choose to reduce, stop or decline award all together so always weigh up the pros and cons of going ahead. I hope this helps!

I can help but be very impatient now. Knowing it was wirh a DM a couple days ago and still haven’t heard anything. I know I haven’t gave them much time but I’m convincing myself it’s a decline now and I’ll get a letter next week 😂

Just rung up to add a note about DD being accepted for EHCP and just got given the whole it's taking 25 weeks. 🥲🥲🥲

Omg ladies ive rang twice in last week to add additional info i called tuesday i told him my daughter has a standing frame as she is unable to stand or walk at all he said a walking frame i repeated myself emphasising she can not walk or stand its been on my mind what he wrote so called again today to confirm ..all he wrote was physio once weekly standing frame issued and started school not very informative he failed to put shes strapped into the STANDING FRAME it does not move shes completely strapped in it and she had to have risk assesment for funded hours at school she has been put into baby room not nusery as she wouldnt cope in nusery room and has an adult with her the whole time. I am so glad i called the lovliest lady helped me she wrote all my information up again as he didnt do this in any detail she then told me im in the 2nd holding que there is 8 holding ques in total so fingers crossed not long NC SD 02/10/24 also check your scan date they had mine down as 09/10/24 wich is not right so she changed that but i dont no how it was saying the 9th as sc as anyother time ive called theve said 2nd oct so be careful when calling check scan date hopefully this wait is over soon! Xx

Omg can not beleive it guys just got the text I'm shaking really shaking , sd 10/09 so 19weeks 3days wait , I called Wednesday and the man told me it's not been looked at and do not ring back till 25weeks end of Feb, no idea of rates yet going to phone up now , thank you guys so much I was literally ill with worry , I'm sticking around to support all those who is still waiting x my son diagnosed adhd asd dyslexia , on the form I literally not knowing better just filled it in based on he's diagnosis not he's care needs so I was extremely worried they would decline , good luck everyone waiting x
