Hey! Thought I'd make a new thread as previous one very close to being full!

These threads have been a big help whilst waiting for the outcome of our application. Sure they help everyone else too! It's stressful!

Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.

New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?

Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.

Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.

If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)

Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.

If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

This is kind of reassuring. My son point blank refused to engage and wouldn’t be able to cope with the amount of questions they ask an adult. Did your rates stay the same obviously there isn’t the middle rate with PIP.

Oh this is disappointing given they had done for a couple days after yours before they shut for Christmas. Hope it’s not much longer

I have and have been waiting for a call back from a manager for 3 weeks now, it’s absolutely ridiculous! 😩

Call then again, that’s well over the timeframe they state 48 hours for a callback. I rang on the second day of waiting and a decision had been made that morning.

No news, i phoned today as I thought of a piece of evidence I might be able to send (any excuse 🤣) and the guy said he will make a note for a case manager, he said nothing else so still waiting 😫 not even with a DM/CM so could be the 25wks, will hit 21 next week, just hoping mine isn't one of the complicated ones 🤦🏼‍♀️

Tell me about it! Rung 4 time within the past week just to ask about my phone call! Everyone a different excuse!

Just tried calling about 5-10 mins ago and lines closed!!! They are meant to be open u til 5pm!!!

SD NC 30/08 so im exactly 18 weeks now.
Rang up today and been told the system is down today and ring up next week.

Hi guys NC here, I've been watching for a while but never posted.
I've noticed a few of you have the same SD as me, 20/08 so I don't feel so alone now!
I haven't called once in 19+ weeks!!! but the urge is very strong now. If it weren't for this thread, I would have assumed it was still 15 weeks because of the letters and my son's claim had just been forgotten 🙈

@Chels2020 have you heard anything from uc yet? Just checked my bank and a payment from them is pending for the backdate. They havnt said anything on my journal about it. X

when did you reported change? I reported yesterday and today had info that they verified my child etc

Hi no nothing just the message to say they have validated my son change no letters nothing from them x

This is all I had a purple link on my journal nothing else from them as of yet I did mine last week was confirmed on 30th

On pip she gets higher rate for both on dla she only got mrc and lrm

i first wrote to them on the 23rd to say about now receiving DLA. They verified on the 24th, then on the 31st I received the letter on my journal saying they except the late delay and my monthly payments will be adjusted , (didn't mention anything about back pay) then today I see it’s pending in my bank for Tuesday x hopefully yours won’t be to much longer xx

Yeah so on 23rd I updated 30th they verified so shouldn’t be much longer we’ll see

Oh no, I had noticed a 20 week pattern or so I thought. I don’t think it’ll be the full 25 weeks. Fingers crossed for next week. We know how fast things can move from not being assigned to having a decision 🫣

Oh that’s positive and a good change. Glad her award on PIP was fair

Have you asked for it to be escalated? They haven’t found the time in 3 weeks to call? There’s no excuse

I am going to tomorrow. There system is a joke. The last biscuit today was them saying a DM will only ever be assigned at week 25! When I see people get there decisions at week 18 etc 😏 The lies is what is so uncalled for! And I shall be voicing this if/when someone calls me.
