Long time lurker here. I have a S/D of 14/07 and have been told today it's with the decision maker now. Just letting people know who are waiting around that date.

New claim or coc ?? X

Hi all!
back story:
COC 1/7, 20 weeks was up on Monday but no decision was made and so called yesterday to be told that my claim is on hold ,because I need to send renewal forms because my daughters claim ends 05/02.
Managed to get it sent yesterday as I had mostly filled it in just in case and it was delivered this morning.
Rang today to be put through to someone higher who has said that she has no idea why I was told that, and how these people basically haven’t got a clue what they’re saying.
she has now emailed management and marked it as urgent so fingers crossed!

It goes to show that they will literally say anything on the phone and people higher are even questioning them.

Does anyone know how urgent is urgent? Because I’m not thinking very 😂 20 weeks 2 days today!

Hopefully the rest of you get good news today!!

I was told my son's new claim would be marked as urgent. That was 2 weeks ago and I've spoken to various staff there who have said things from yes it's marked as urgent to no we've not got the ability to mark claims as urgent. They literally just say anything to get you off the phone.
I really hope you hear soon 🙏

mammyoflilyandluca · 20/11/2024 12:13

Thank you everyone for the congrats, I do have a query though, do they often miscalculate the back payment? As from what I've calculated it would be around £800/900 short😬 am i in my right to ring back up and query it?

Mine is a new claim. I have been told I will know by the end of the week. They must be doing 10/07 to 15/07 now (or earlier).

I think they only have this power once the claim has passed 20 weeks. I spoke to someone before about this and they said the person on the phone shouldn't be saying this (mine was 17 weeks at the time).

Mine is the 14th July. I haven't seen many on here or elsewhere being worked on for this date, but they wouldn't tell me when it went to a DM, so it could be that it's started from that date today.

Honestly this wait is horrific, im struggling and im not even close yet 😂 10 weeks tomorrow, only half way there. Doesn’t help that I saw a couple September NC decisions last week I think it was. Even though I know these would of more than likely slipped through by accident as they’re on beginning of July but because of these, I’ve been checking the bank a couple times a day and keeping an eye out for the postman 🙄🙄 I’m not phoning at all throughout my claim as I know they tell people anything to get them off the phone. But I am finding this so difficult waiting that I honestly feel stupid 🙄

Welcome to the going crazy group! 🤣🤣 the wait is horrendous hang on in there looks like they are playing catch up this week as we was only at the end of June last week so fingers crossed xxx

Not as many awards today. Congratulations to those who have been awarded. @Kc1999x one of the members said her MR is with decision maker and she’s at 21 weeks, yours shouldn’t be far off. Seems about right with what DM on Monday said mine would be around 6 weeks. Gives time for sons latest EHCP to get to them

I would. I would ask what date they’ve backdated to and work it out from there.

@SKB12 I've rang up and the poor lady has only worked there a week so it's been marked as a call back as she didn't have a clue what to do, I've worked it out at 16 weeks back pay, when it should be 23 so missing just over £700 I wouldn't mind if it wasn't such a significant amount, guess I'll wait and find out🫤

never managed to call. They usually pick up quite quick but was waiting ages so had to hang up to get my little on to nursery. But I was estimating around 21 weeks so probs another 3 weeks for me. Gonna try push it to the back of my mind

I always try as close to 9am as I can for shorter wait times. I think that’ll be around right 3 weeks for you and 4-6 for me. I’m trying too as well, can just track if they get the additional evidence now.
