Just want to say, since I discovered this board in August last year, it helped me enormously! I have name changed several times since to reflect different stages in our situation, so you probably won't recognise me. However, it is so reassuring to be able to chat to people in similar situations. I really would not have the understanding I do, without you guys. Ds is doing well and I have to say much of it is down the confidence and advice this board has given me.

One of the first things I read on here was how you are your child's best advocate. Its really given me the confidence to battle with the many people and situations in our life to get te best for DS.

So, in short, thank you and please keep replying to the many posts on this board, as it means the world to the posters looking for help, advice and sometimes just somewhere to vent.

I love the character of this board, I've never encountered anything but great advice and support. Hope I have been able to offer the same in return. Thanks

Yes, I have had a glass of wine, but wanted to thank you all.

WetAugust · 05/02/2012 01:12

A bit cryptic for me Confused Silverfrog?

StarlightMcKenzie · 05/02/2012 01:14

Asteroid is the best name we've come across so far!

WetAugust · 05/02/2012 01:14

Did AT used to be D?

StarlightMcKenzie · 05/02/2012 01:15

Lol Silverfrog due mid July. Likes threads on ABA, diet interventions and vaccinations, amongst others of course.

WetAugust · 05/02/2012 01:16

FFS! Don't post it on Baby Names. You'll probably find a few on there that have used it Grin

I really do have to tie my posting finger to a lump of lead when I'm reading that board.

StarlightMcKenzie · 05/02/2012 01:16

Yes Wet, she did.

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 05/02/2012 01:17

Three babies all due together, mums all on SN board. That is spooky!

Wet, I'll have to visit sometime. Maybe not with all 3 boys, though!

Must sleep now...

WetAugust · 05/02/2012 01:20

Thanks Star. I guessed it was.

I think I'm due a name change.

Has PurplePeopleEater been taken? That would suit you!

WetAugust · 05/02/2012 01:35

PurplePeopleEater has already been taken Sad

I shall now make it my life's mission to track them down, torture them to reveal their password, kill them and assume their identity.

All in a day's work.

MotherFromHell · 05/02/2012 01:40

Night all.....must be up in time for The Archers omnibus

Dustinthewind · 05/02/2012 07:13

DS has been up and dancing in the snow for the last half hour. He's come in for hot chocolate and supplies and is then off for a proper walk. Smile
DD is huddled up in her student house, wrapped in 7 or 8 layers of clothing and blankets, shuddering at the thought of the snow and hoping on sunshine.

signandsmile · 05/02/2012 08:48

hi all, yeah this board has been a life saver, and a sanity saver Grin. and you are all fab!

and yes ellen i am forced to watch vintage dr who, (and to discuss the relative merits of different Transformers). Grin

and for the record I am Loud, extrovert, curly haired and fat (ish) Grin Grin

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 05/02/2012 09:08

And I lied when I said I was tall and willowy. Grin

signandsmile · 05/02/2012 09:14

Grin. ellen, it's like blind dating isn't it... I will be one with the red carnation in my button hole, (and the trail of small boy snot on my top, as ds has decided I am his hankie, Blush)

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 05/02/2012 09:21

I'm the one with the smile on my face cos I'm a great believer in 'looking' happy despite your situation cos it helps trick you into actually feeling happy.

tryingtokeepintune · 05/02/2012 10:12

A little late but may I join in and say how much this board has meant to me and gave me the strength and belief to keep fighting when all the professionals kept trying to stop me.

And yes, I do keep talking about 'a friend of mine' etc and then thinking, actually I only know them on MN.

And 3 babies due soon? Wow! Knew about Star and Working but not about Silverfrog. Congratulations. Hope all doing well.

moosemama · 05/02/2012 12:16

Good grief, you lot were up late last night. You have a lot more stamina than me.

Ellen, you were half right - I did indeed used to be a total hippy, with flowers, Dr Martens and a vw camper. I still have the dm's and the camper, but now tend to dress all in black with my hair scraped back into a pony tail. I'm working on it though - bought myself three new tops last week and only one was black. I'm also trying to wear my hair down more often these days (tis dark brunette, very long and currently rather 'big' after having layers put in last week). If I wear it down to the school no-one recognises me, which is rather amusing. Grin

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 05/02/2012 14:20

this is in fact me, although I'm looking slightly more gin sozzled these days Grin how did you guess ellen!

congratulations to silverfrog Smile I think used2bthin is also due around the same sort of time (I so hope I've got that right!)

dust I was wondering where you'd gone Smile I think I've got the name change, I'm usually crap and rarely get it right Blush

also loving this board Thanks

Dustinthewind · 05/02/2012 14:22

Feenie spotted me almost straight away. Apparently it was my use of the word whiffling that stripped my disguise away.

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 05/02/2012 14:28

I had to wait for the fact that you were a professional and might have got a teensy bit offended... Grin
