Starting the 2019 support thread for those on SW or those thinking of starting.

Let's introduce ourselves. I'm Groovee. In 2016 I was told to lose weight so I could have Gynae surgery. I joined SW in Jan 2017. Have lost 4.5st on SW 5.5st since 2016. Have been at target for 9 months now. Long may it continue being at target and staying there.

Have my new members pack and look forward to the challenges of 2019. I need to look for some new recipes.

boats16 · 08/01/2019 12:43

Fingers crossed for tonight @Owlina

ALemonyPea · 08/01/2019 13:31

Welcome newbies, and well done on the losses so far this week. My WI is Thursday.

Boats, this is what's come up on the SW app for Tilda.

Good day so far, having bolognese for tea, excited about all the cheese.

3lb loss today really really pleased.

latedecember1963 · 08/01/2019 14:23

Welcome back, Owlinatree! Good luck with the WI, but you might not have done as much damage as you think.
Well done, Kaytola, I need your willpower!

latedecember1963 · 08/01/2019 14:30

Well done, FiveNightsAtMummys, too.

Mymadworld · 08/01/2019 14:37

Well done @kaytola and @latedecember1963 on your losses and I'll join you will 2lbs off this week. Only 3 to go to get back to pre-Christmas weight but with a family birthday and meal out 3lbs might be a bit ambitious.

Dinner light tonight (beans on toast or similar) as I'm out and want to fit in a run before I go but at home today so enjoyed a big 'fry-up' for lunch - mushrooms, tomatoes, Linda McCartney sausages, toast and 2 poached eggs. This is definitely my favourite sw no thought required meal that I never tire of!

boats16 · 08/01/2019 14:45

Well done @ Five Nights at Mummys Smile. Thanks for the rice syns @ ALemonyPea

FiveNightsAtMummys · 08/01/2019 15:21

Groovee · 08/01/2019 18:07

Well done Groove! Just wondering I put on 1lb week before so I'm not sure now I got slimmer of the week? Unless everyone put on the week before? Or she averages it out or maybe even starts a fresh. I never asked was just suprised to get it this week.

boats16 · 08/01/2019 18:29

Well done @ Groovee Smile

Groovee · 08/01/2019 18:41

@FiveNightsAtMummys usually the tablet works it out. But you may have been the only one who had stayed. I wonnit one week when I know I wasn't the true slimmer of the week.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 08/01/2019 19:18

ALemonyPea · 08/01/2019 20:21

Well done losers.

shecamefromgreece · 08/01/2019 21:54

Well done everyone that's lostSmile
I'm weighing tomorrow night I'm really nervous and I'm not sure why?!,
I have an ok week but I've been ill and have reached for comfort food a bit too much.

OwlinaTree · 08/01/2019 22:30

Well done all the losers!

Not such good news for me, 6.5lb on!! Tbh it is about what I expected, based on how my clothes are fitting I thought about half a stone. Still, you always hope for a miracle!!

Got the new books and stayed to group, so I now feel motivated to give it a really good go. I'm going to do a food diary and properly measure everything, see if it makes a difference. I want to keep having my weigh ins recorded in my old book though, keep it all together.

OwlinaTree · 08/01/2019 22:31

I've definitely got into the 'what can I get away with' zone rather than the 'make good choices' zone!!!

Tobermory · 08/01/2019 22:37

Ok so I finally went abd WI
It was pretty horrific but I did expect as such. For pretty much the entire Christmas holiday I didn’t consider syns at all... so the 7 Shock BlushSad on was shocking but not surprising.
But really how come I have to work my arse for weeks and weeks to lose 7. But a couple of weeks of excess and that’s 7 zooms on?!
So I’ve WI and been for a run with a running club that I’ve just joined and I’m ON IT!
Hoping to loose that 7 in 3 weeks ?
I’ve picked up the new book but not had a minute to look at it so will do that at the weekend.

MummatoaMunchkin · 09/01/2019 11:43

Hellooooo!

So i went back to group yesterday, i am 15st 13.5lbs!! Which is 10.5lbs more than when i last weight in October!
I could be worse and it could be better!!

It is still less than i weighed this time last year! (16st 3.5lbs) so im taking it!!

I hope you are all ok!

Groovee · 09/01/2019 12:40

Had weetabix for brekkie this morning. Now I remember why I dont have it . I was sick 4 times coming back from the shop. Shock Back to porridge for me Smile Going for a [brew ] now

WineNotTea · 09/01/2019 13:07

I rejoined on Monday and have put on 11lbs since June 😬

Back on it with a vengeance, I’ve just had a lovely lunch of warm pasta, tuna, sweet corn, baby toms, spring onions, red chilli and garlic. Followed by a sugar free jelly. It was lush!

Tesco delivery arrives later this afternoon, this evening will be devilled chicken with sprouts and broccoli followed by an evening of proper menu planning for the rest of the week.

I’m hoping for a 3lb loss when I weight in again next Monday.

WineNotTea · 09/01/2019 13:07

I really ought to name change to TeaNotWine 😃
