Starting the 2019 support thread for those on SW or those thinking of starting.

Let's introduce ourselves. I'm Groovee. In 2016 I was told to lose weight so I could have Gynae surgery. I joined SW in Jan 2017. Have lost 4.5st on SW 5.5st since 2016. Have been at target for 9 months now. Long may it continue being at target and staying there.

Have my new members pack and look forward to the challenges of 2019. I need to look for some new recipes.

Back to work today, glad to get back in a routine as lost the days during the Christmas holidays.

Blueberry porridge for breakfast today, maybe a salad for lunch and salmon stir fry noodles for tea.

Groovee · 07/01/2019 12:17

I've taken Dd back to uni. She's take me to what I would call a bar but she calls a cafe. Have ordered a salad.

I've lost 1.5 lbs this week which I'm pleased about.

I'm going to empty and sort out the sideboard cupboards this afternoon and then make enough pasta salad to do 3 lunches if I get a call for work this week. I'm going to work on blitzing the living room this week and the dining room next week.
DH tends to be oblivious to clutter, but I find my environment affects how I feel and then I start eating badly.

Hope everyone has a good start to the week.

boats16 · 07/01/2019 16:03

Well done @latedecember Smile

Groovee · 07/01/2019 16:11

Bought some kellogs NAS granola today. Am going to have it for brekkie as a HEB. Believe it tastes good too ! Did arm exercises for first time today. Lost all that weight for my hol last year but felt really self conscious of my arms flapping about because of the weight loss. I will tone this year as well Smile

ALemonyPea · 07/01/2019 16:38

Oh I love granola, didn't realise there was one for a B choice. Will have to get some with my shopping on Friday.

Well done on the loss, Late.

boats16 · 07/01/2019 16:53

I was told you could have the coconut, cashew and almond as a HEB.I hope that's tight

boats16 · 07/01/2019 16:53

I mean right

Groovee · 07/01/2019 17:36

Someone told me that fried rice, chicken thigh .marinated in five spice and soy sauce was a good meal. Can we have fried rice ?

shecamefromgreece · 07/01/2019 20:41

Ooh that looks lovely groovee.
We had chilli tonight it was nice and saved my herb and had a warm weightwatchers wrap with it.
I just had a quick look and there were a few granolas you can have Lizzis granola was one that seemed to have a few different ones that are hebs and as boats said kellogs sugar free nut one was ok but only 35grams and kellogs sugar free fruit one was ok and you get 40grams.
I'm going to make some I think.
I will use 40 grams of oats, 25 hazelnuts and 11 pecan halves and two tablespoons of maple syrup (4)
Then bake it and split into three portions it will my heb for three days.
I love it with Greek yogurt and it will only be just over one syn a portion.

I usually make granola for the kids which they love looking at syn values of what I usually use I'm not surprised they love it!!

Boat you would have to make your own fried rice using either frylight or use some syns for oil.

Woopwoop1 · 07/01/2019 21:00

Well I have had a good day, went out for lunch and had chicken salad. I had to be really good as We went to friends yesterday and the food was not sw friendly!

What it did make me realise was that my taste buds have changed and food that I used to really like was just alright.

boats16 · 07/01/2019 21:05

Thanks @shecamefromgreece. I was hoping to make chicken fried rice using SW fried rice recipe. Will that be syn free or have a small syn?

HazelnutRaspberryRoulade · 07/01/2019 21:21

@boats16 you can make brilliant fried rice completely Syn Free. I’m sure there are loads of recipes but I always use frylight and fry onions and frozen peas with cooked and cooked rice, scramble a couple of eggs at the side of the pan and mix it altogether with soy sauce, lemon juice and black pepper.

Good day here, just finished my dinner with two Lindt balls for 8 syns.

HazelnutRaspberryRoulade · 07/01/2019 21:22

Cooked and cooled rice that should be

QueenofLouisiana · 07/01/2019 21:41

Hi All! I started (again) today. 3.5 stone (at least) to lose. Would like 1.5 stone off by Easter.

Kilner jars bought for pretty food prep Smile

boats16 · 07/01/2019 22:12

Thanks @ HazelnutRaspberryRoulade.

OwlinaTree · 07/01/2019 22:48

Hi all. Just slinking back on here...

I'm glad to see so many familiar faces on here. Well done on all the good starts to the year. I've been pretty off plan tbh. But I've mainly avoided bread and made some good choices when possible... But I've also had booze, takeaways, nice puddings, chocolates...

Properly back on plan today! Going to go to weigh in tomorrow as I want the new books! I'm going to try going to the later class at 7:30 rather than 5:30. It will mean eating before I go, but I guess I'll have had a significant gain so what difference will it make! I think I'll have a better chance of staying to group occasionally at the later class.

Bit dreading what the damage will be tbh!!

kaytola · 08/01/2019 08:34

Well weighed in today after following SW (almost!) religiously for a week and I've lost 5lbs! Well chuffed with that, especially as I had a cheeky KFC on Saturday night. Good luck to everyone else this week.

boats16 · 08/01/2019 08:37

Well done @ kaytola Smile Smile Smile

boats16 · 08/01/2019 08:39

I weigh myself Friday mornings so a while to go yet Hmm

Groovee · 08/01/2019 09:32

Well done @kaytola

Welcome back @OwlinaTree

I'm on a course this afternoon and it's thrown me out of sync as I have this morning off. Don't finish til 4, then I need to get across town to my class for weigh in.
