Starting the 2019 support thread for those on SW or those thinking of starting.

Let's introduce ourselves. I'm Groovee. In 2016 I was told to lose weight so I could have Gynae surgery. I joined SW in Jan 2017. Have lost 4.5st on SW 5.5st since 2016. Have been at target for 9 months now. Long may it continue being at target and staying there.

Have my new members pack and look forward to the challenges of 2019. I need to look for some new recipes.

@Studentnursesos12e over 20st for weight gets 25 syns. Over 16st is 20 syns.

Once you drop down say from 21st to 19st you reduce the syns. Same if you are 16st reduce when you fall into the 15st category.

thanks @Groovee that's a big help

such a hard day today, but I didn't break. Eaten strawbs, grapes, oranges, salad and chilli n coriander soya. I have such a bad headache.(? sugar/junk food withdrawal)

On 3 syns for some skittles. Hoping tomorrow is easier.

OwlinaTree · 14/03/2019 22:39

Well done on not cracking student.

Have managed an actual SP day today, first time ever!

B overnight oats with skyr
L chicken and egg salad, fruit
D ham, cheese, mushroom, tomato omlette with a load of lettuce
S 1 hifi, freddo.

Reckon I've done 9 syns on that.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 15/03/2019 18:46

I'm off plan tonight. Kept my syns to 2.5 syns past few days to try to help any damage. I've walked 20 thousand steps aswell hopefully I'll get a loss Tues but it is what it is I guess. Hope everyone is doing well.

Studentnursesos12e · 16/03/2019 21:31

I was out Friday night and didn't go over syn which is a NSV
Today
L- beans on toast
D- veg goujons sweetcorn and pickled onions
S-grapes,strawbs,watermelon and white choc skinny sauce

14 syns used.

I'm really apprehensive about weigh in. I've not gone over syns and have been on plan, but I just don't trust it enough yet. I also don't feel like I've lostmuch.I really want 2.5 off to get my half stone, but a loss is the main thing.

OwlinaTree · 17/03/2019 00:25

Well done student! Great NSV. I've been at a friend's tonight. Small plate of food, a little cake she'd made, no booze cos driving. I had 11 syns to use, may have gone a little over but not much I don't think? If I'd been drinking it would have been a different story no doubt!!

One more day on my own with the kids, then Monday morning, then DH finally home. He's got Tuesday off work so he can sort out the school run then too.

strangerthongs · 17/03/2019 06:44

1lb off this week

OwlinaTree · 17/03/2019 07:56

Well done stranger!

MamaFlintstone · 18/03/2019 16:42

Hope everyone is doing well! I’ve lost focus a bit over the past 2 weeks with poorly DD and hospital and work and all sorts of stuff going on, had 2lb loss on Saturday but that was 2 weeks’ worth. Need to get my head back in it properly.

Studentnursesos12e · 18/03/2019 20:19

week 2 WI and I'm 11s9.5 a loss of 3.5 lbsShock 8lbs lost in 2 weeks and my half stone award. I said 2lbs target at SW, but am aiming for as big a loss as possible next week. Only 6lbs til my 1 stone award which I want to get in 2-3 weeks.

My flatmate had her first WI and lost 5lbs, so a good one all round.

We both made a mistake though this week, and that was stayin to group. There was maximum 12 members and it went on for 1h45.
I prefer a quick group.

Well done @stranger and @Mama xo

MamaFlintstone · 18/03/2019 20:39

Well done @student and bloody hell 1hr 45? I stay to group but it’s never longer than an hour thankfully

Studentnursesos12e · 18/03/2019 20:48

yep 1h45 @Mama it was soooo long, the new consultants taking over next week though so might be shorter (I hope)

Popfan · 18/03/2019 21:27

Well done everyone with all the losses. I'm really encouraged after my first week - a 3.5lb loss for me!!

OwlinaTree · 18/03/2019 23:09

Great losses guys! Well done!

Groovee · 19/03/2019 13:18

Well done on the losses.

Weigh in for me tonight. It's 364 days since I hit target. 🤞🏻 for next week that I get my diamond award.

OwlinaTree · 19/03/2019 20:30

Well done grovee!

I lost 1lb, so back at target. How do you get a diamond award?

FiveNightsAtMummys · 20/03/2019 00:11

2.5lb off for me. 3st4lb in 19 weeks

Groovee · 20/03/2019 05:12

By staying at target for a year without having to pay. So I've always got back in target range in my grace week.

OP posts:
Groovee · 20/03/2019 05:13

OwlinaTree · 20/03/2019 08:49

That's amazing groovee! I've had to pay several times Blush

OwlinaTree · 20/03/2019 08:50

I'm back at target now. Looked back through my weigh in records and I'm the lightest I've been since May!!

HettyPain · 20/03/2019 10:38

Hello, can I please join you? I've been to SW since the start of Feb and got my one stone award this week. Two more to go. I am feeling a bit fed up with it, doesn't feel like a long term diet for me as I love my wine! But maybe there isn't a perfect diet for wine lovers who also love food? Blush
