Starting the 2019 support thread for those on SW or those thinking of starting.

Let's introduce ourselves. I'm Groovee. In 2016 I was told to lose weight so I could have Gynae surgery. I joined SW in Jan 2017. Have lost 4.5st on SW 5.5st since 2016. Have been at target for 9 months now. Long may it continue being at target and staying there.

Have my new members pack and look forward to the challenges of 2019. I need to look for some new recipes.

Taster for me too. I'm doing falafel and a yoghurt dip.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 05/02/2019 07:41

I'm taking scotch eggs (veggie ones)

ALemonyPea · 05/02/2019 07:46

Not sure what to do for taster day. Still not feeling right. What can I buy from Sainsbury's that's free/low syn

OwlinaTree · 05/02/2019 12:29

Get some ready cut fruit and make fruit salad?

Groovee · 05/02/2019 12:47

@ALemonyPea just some pre chopped veggies or fruit. You need to put yourself first x

I like those quorn cocktail sausages ALemonyPea. I think they’re 1 syn each, put them on cocktail sticks (cut them in half if you want so they’re 0.5 syns each). Done.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 05/02/2019 13:42

My scotch eggs were a hit. Lost 1lb and got my 2 and half stone award.

boats16 · 05/02/2019 13:54

Well done FiveNights 🖒🖒🖒🖒

ALemonyPea · 05/02/2019 17:59

Well done Five.

I'd usually make some blueberry baked oat muffins, but don't have frylight and as I'm not using it now, don't really want to buy it.

Groovee · 05/02/2019 19:56

Lost 1lb so below target 🎉🎉

Good taster. Some lovely things x

@ALemonyPea why do you use fry light for your muffins?

OP posts:
OwlinaTree · 05/02/2019 21:11

Lost 1/2lb. Better than nothing, but a bit meh as have stuck to it so well for over two weeks, was hoping for at least 1lb!

ALemonyPea · 05/02/2019 21:23

Just to grease the muffin trays. I could use cases I suppose.

Well done on the losses.

Groovee · 05/02/2019 21:41

@OwlinaTree it's blinking frustrating sometimes x

OP posts:
Groovee · 05/02/2019 21:41

@ALemonyPea I use silicone trays but cakecases would be a good shout.

OwlinaTree · 05/02/2019 21:44

groovee yes it is. I'm away this weekend, at someone's house so very little control. I'll probably lose!!

boats16 · 05/02/2019 21:45

1/2 pound is better than staying the same @ Owlina.Look at it that way.😀😀😀 Well done

JaceLancs · 05/02/2019 21:57

1/2 off for me as well
Very disappointed as thought I would have lost 2 - been very on plan apart from a meal out and even then I chose as well as I could
I’m still 1/2 away from getting my 5 stone back and am away for a few days in Glasgow this week which will not help!

boats16 · 05/02/2019 23:00

Well done JaceLancs 😀😀😀

ALemonyPea · 06/02/2019 09:11

Did anyone watch This Time Next Year on ITV last night? The first couple are the infamous 2 chubby cubs.

HazelnutRaspberryRoulade · 06/02/2019 11:53

1.5lb off for me this week! Very pleased.

Yes I watched it lemony, impressive weight loss but I wanted to see a bit more of the journey, it was on to the next person so quickly!

boats16 · 06/02/2019 12:25

Well done hazelnut Grin Grin Grin
