Starting the 2019 support thread for those on SW or those thinking of starting.

Let's introduce ourselves. I'm Groovee. In 2016 I was told to lose weight so I could have Gynae surgery. I joined SW in Jan 2017. Have lost 4.5st on SW 5.5st since 2016. Have been at target for 9 months now. Long may it continue being at target and staying there.

Have my new members pack and look forward to the challenges of 2019. I need to look for some new recipes.

Well done losers! 1lb on for me on a Wednesday, harsh but possibly fair as I’d been slightly on it but not really. Properly on it this week so far.

boats16 · 01/02/2019 14:25

Well done noodlenose Smile

HazelnutRaspberryRoulade · 01/02/2019 14:45

Wow well done on all these losses! And never mind @oriana, I’m sure next week will be better.

I’ve had a couple of grumpy days after my weigh in this week, but had a really relaxing evening last night, which I think I needed, and now I feel ready to go again.

Have a few celebrations and meals out in Feb, but I’m going to try wherever I can and keep focussed.

boats16 · 01/02/2019 16:22

Never mind Oriana. Bet you lose twice as much next week to make up for it lol Smile

thereallifesaffy · 01/02/2019 18:05

After a disappointing half pound last week I lost 4.5 this week. I don't understand. I've done no exercise and haven't even stick rigidly to the plan!

FiveNightsAtMummys · 01/02/2019 18:19

Well done the reallife. Maybe it was last week's good eating catching up?

thereallifesaffy · 01/02/2019 18:21

I have no idea how it works!

ALemonyPea · 01/02/2019 18:32

Sorry for my absence, I've been in hospital since Tuesday and feel like crap. Haven't been on plan all week, as have had no appetite, so been eating toast mainly. Hopefully be back on it tomorrow or Sunday.

Off to read through what I've missed, but well done to all the losers, commiserations to the gainers and welcome newbies.

boats16 · 01/02/2019 18:57

@ ALemony - sorry to hear that. I hope that youre feeling better soon.
@thereallifesaffy well done Smile

Chunkymonkey123 · 01/02/2019 19:32

This is the second time I’ve tried slimming world, the first time I think my consultant was a bit crap as I didn’t understand the 1/3 of your plate thing. I didn’t lose anything in 4 weeks and gave up. This time I’ve rejoined as a friend was doing well on it and it makes so much more sense now! I only snack on fruit and my portion sizes are naturally smaller, I had got in the habit of eating the same size dinner as my tall husband 🤦🏼‍♀️.
7 pound loss in 5 weeks which I’m pleased with as I eat all 15 syns a day. Another stone of baby weight to go though and I have a big family photo shoot in 3 weeks that I don’t want to look fat in for all time!

boats16 · 01/02/2019 21:32

Good luck Chunkymonkey , it's good to have a goal💃💃

OrianaBanana · 02/02/2019 07:56

Good work chunkymonkey and well done thereallifeSaffy. Sometimes I find it works in two week cycles so if you were really good the previous week but only lost 0.5lbs, 2 will come off the next week.

Thanks boats and Hazelnut x

OwlinaTree · 02/02/2019 08:47

Well done losers. Lemony hope your op went ok and you are back on your feet soon.

All is ok for me at the mo, sticking to plan. Have discovered Morrisons does a burger for 3.5 syns. Had that with salad, cheese, gerkins and chips last night. So yummy, felt like a treat meal.

Groovee · 02/02/2019 09:28

@OrianaBanana I'm sure next week will see a loss.

@ALemonyPea hope you are getting lots of rest. X

@Chunkymonkey123 good luck

@thereallifesaffy well done.

I used to be like that Reallifesaffy. Up and down, its the see-saw effect, now Im just a 1lb a week type of person [boring] apart from this week which was a nice suprise. Smile .lets hope I dont have to pay for it next week.( I always think like that ) Grin Grin

ALemonyPea · 02/02/2019 09:36

Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

M&S skinny burgers and Asda turkey burgers are only 0.5 each, and very tasty. What are the Morrison's ones? Love a good burger.

Goosewing1954 · 02/02/2019 10:24

I'm using the SW online planner to record my daily food intake, someone mentioned submitting it so my consultant can see it, is this right if so does anyone know how? I've searched but can't see a send or submit facility. Thanks

noodlenosefraggle · 02/02/2019 10:31

I use the online planner too. I haven't found a way of sending it either. My consultant asked me to WhatsApp a screenshot to her. I find it easier just to write it into the paper planner. The boxes in that are so small you'd probably need to do that anyway!

Groovee · 02/02/2019 10:42

A lot of people hand their food diaries to me at weigh so I can write the result on the top so the consultant can see what the change was and feedback according.

OrianaBanana · 02/02/2019 11:00

Morrisons Saver frozen beef burgers are 1.5 syns each (not tried them...)

Their turkey ones are 2 each, and sweet chilli turkey ones 1.5.

OrianaBanana · 02/02/2019 11:02

The Morrison’s fish cakes that are 2 syns each with cheese melting in the middle are nice! (Just don’t get the wrong ones as the syns are more on the others)

boats16 · 02/02/2019 12:51

@ALemony ar the T burgers from ASDA in breadcrumbs and asdas own ? Ill try them.
@Oriana are the fishcakes morrisons own ?

OrianaBanana · 02/02/2019 12:58

Yes they’re Morrison’s ‘The Best’ range but make sure you get the right one

Goosewing1954 · 02/02/2019 13:01

noodlenosefraggle thanks for responding I'll try doing that. Maybe SW should look at being able to send plan. I like the online planner because I gave most things saved in my favourites so it's an easy click and go and works out my syns etc. Since doing this my weight loss has improved.

boats16 · 02/02/2019 13:07

'Oriana freezer or chiller ?
