Starting the 2019 support thread for those on SW or those thinking of starting.

Let's introduce ourselves. I'm Groovee. In 2016 I was told to lose weight so I could have Gynae surgery. I joined SW in Jan 2017. Have lost 4.5st on SW 5.5st since 2016. Have been at target for 9 months now. Long may it continue being at target and staying there.

Have my new members pack and look forward to the challenges of 2019. I need to look for some new recipes.

Boats I forgotGrin everything's I bit busy here at the mo I've got four dc who seem to be on a mission to send me over the edge!!
Sorry you're feeling down Thanks is it the food thing or just life in general?

Groovee · 18/01/2019 12:50

I was 8lb from target and it took 10 weeks to get there. Half a pound here, half a pound there. My first 6 months I lost 3st which was 1.5st more than I expected as I was looking for a pound a week loss.

If I want a bigger loss I increase my speed portions.

I know what you mean boats. Some weeks I but 110% in, do hours of body magic and get a smaller loss than I have previously with no body magic and having a meal off plan.

boats16 · 18/01/2019 14:00

@ shecamefromgreece . I know what you mean. I think men are put here to annoy us lol. Its just because I tried so hard and expected more. Never mind, its the start of another week now. Chin up Smile

HazelnutRaspberryRoulade · 18/01/2019 14:20

Well to everyone who lost! Everyone is right, even a small loss is still something to be proud of, they all add up and before you know it you’re half a stone down. It’s always worth trying.

I had an amazing lunch today, a “naked” empanada (so just the filling), which was spinach, potato and chimmichuri, with pickled cabbage, black beans and rice, salad and guacamole. Not sure on the syns but it won’t be too much and the only syns for today, and it was so delicious and filling.

ALemonyPea · 18/01/2019 17:01

Well done losers.

Boats, if you don't have a huge amount to lose, then your losses will be less, try not to feel down about it. 1lb off is great. A loss of 1-2lb a week is what's recommended.

Hazelnut, I love naked burritos from BarBurrito, they're gorgeous and definitely feel like a treat. If you have them without guacamole or sour cream, they're free as well

boats16 · 18/01/2019 17:41

' ALemony Really ? Then that has cheered me up as I had only put a stone back on. Still less than last years starting weight. If I was this weight last year would of been happy

shecamefromgreece · 18/01/2019 19:47

Yes I agree it's disheartening sometimes but every pound counts!
Totally off subject but does anyone have snow?
My kids are ridiculously excited as we had a little flurry before but it's too wet to stick
We never get any snow here (just outside Manchester) lots of bloomin rain thoughGrin

boats16 · 18/01/2019 19:51

Yes, weve had a little snow. today . Golborne, Cheshire

shecamefromgreece · 18/01/2019 20:06

Ooh boats your not far from me! I'm in Cheshire tooSmile

Groovee · 18/01/2019 20:21

Bought meringues, raspberries and blueberries and got home... no quark. Also had saved my syns for a costa hot chocolate and costa was closed 😭 not my day!

ALemonyPea · 18/01/2019 20:32

If it's only a stone, then yes, you'll not have huge losses. Still, 3lb in two weeks, you're nearly a quarter of the way there. 👍

We had snow yesterday (NE), was quite thick for a good half an hour, but that was about it. I hate snow.

What a gutter Groovee. I forgot eggs in my shopping, and was hoping to have eggy bread for breakfast tomorrow.

boats16 · 18/01/2019 21:10

Where are you @ shecamefromgreece ?
Yes, I suppose @ ALemonyPea* 3lb over 2 weeks sounds better lol. Where in the NE are you ?

shecamefromgreece · 18/01/2019 21:14

OwlinaTree · 19/01/2019 08:57

Costa was closed!! You can't rely on anything these days!!

boats16 · 19/01/2019 09:48

Are coffees in Costa made with milk? I don't go there. Can I have a latte and count it as part of my HEA?

boats16 · 19/01/2019 09:50

boats16 · 19/01/2019 09:54

OwlinaTree · 19/01/2019 10:13

OwlinaTree · 19/01/2019 10:13

shecamefromgreece · 19/01/2019 10:55
