Starting the 2019 support thread for those on SW or those thinking of starting.

Let's introduce ourselves. I'm Groovee. In 2016 I was told to lose weight so I could have Gynae surgery. I joined SW in Jan 2017. Have lost 4.5st on SW 5.5st since 2016. Have been at target for 9 months now. Long may it continue being at target and staying there.

Have my new members pack and look forward to the challenges of 2019. I need to look for some new recipes.

Sorry lemony.

ALemonyPea · 19/01/2019 18:42

Thanks everyone. Went slightly off plan with a cup of tea and some digestives, but feel that is what I needed and I'm fine now. DH is home and gave me a cuddle.

Had paella for tea, was lovely, made it minus chorizo, added it after I took my portion out. Completely free, and delicious.

Groovee · 19/01/2019 19:08

Chicken kebab fake away, Bfree pita bread, salt and pepper chips, and salad. Marinated the chicken in paprika and garlic salt.

Sorry to read your news about your cousin, Lemony. Sending you a hug.

OwlinaTree · 19/01/2019 20:33

That looks lush groovee. We are having beef chow mein with ready made sauce, ready chopped veg, fresh egg noodles and some steak in it. Kind of low prep as a substitute for a takeaway. Works out at 4.5syns so hopefully will be worth it! DH is cooking now so if it looks nice I'll do a picture.

Studentnursesos12e · 20/01/2019 01:34

And back on the slimming world wagon i get

I've become v poor and am basically living off nothing til feb

However, this works in my favour for slimming world as I am living off low syn tinned soups, syn free stews and soups, cereal, rice, pasta and kidney beans. Not going to be particularly out there but will do the job.

Hoping I can get to 11st7 by february. Placement starts monday so recomitting to exercise.

A 1lb gain this week. I did have a few days where I wasn't a good girl but still feeling a bit gutted.

I need to get back into the food diary and sticking religiously to my syn allowance.

OwlinaTree · 20/01/2019 08:30

Bad luck stranger. I find writing everything down the best way to keep on track.

boats16 · 20/01/2019 08:42

Never mind Stranger. I find writing things down helps too.You see how much youve eaten and its always more than you think !

OwlinaTree · 20/01/2019 10:18

Lol to that boats. After looking at some of the 'what have you eaten today' threads I've decided I eat loads! But I'm hungry! Some that say they've eaten half a tin of soup and an apple for lunch... I'd be chewing my arm off by tea time!

Groovee · 20/01/2019 10:22

At least you know where it's come from @strangerthongs

Welcome @Studentnursesos12e

Tried a carrot cake muller. To much ginger for my liking. Having a bad fibro day.

I'm trying v hard to stick to plan here. I need to lose half a lb this week to get back into target range so I'm hoping for that at least, but would love 1lb off really. I want to try to get down to the bottom of target range by beginning of March if possible, which is my son's birthday. 1lb a week makes this very doable.

boats16 · 20/01/2019 11:08

Welcome Studentnurses When are you weighing @ Owlina ?
I love those new muller light donut vanilla custard yoghurts. I could eat 2 or 3. But thats just being greedy. I cant believe theyre only 1 syn. Are they a limited edition. If they were freezable,I would get some and put them outside in the chest freezer.LOL Grin Grin

ALemonyPea · 20/01/2019 14:29

Welcome Student, good luck

Stranger, a 1lb gain isn't big, you can easily get that off, you can do it.

Owl, you'll do it, half a lb is easy.

I wanted to lose a stone before my op, only 3lb to go, and 2 WI, one being two days before my usual on. I hopefully will do it.

OwlinaTree · 20/01/2019 19:52

ALemonyPea · 21/01/2019 13:55

Has anyone tried a skinni wrap? They're 4.5 syns, just had one for my lunch with ham and salad, was lovely.

JaceLancs · 21/01/2019 16:07

Porridge for breakfast
Ham salad for lunch
Tonight having spaghetti bolognaise made with butternut squash spaghetti
I’ve been drinking all weekend so am not expecting a big weight loss this week

ALemonyPea · 21/01/2019 19:40

Just had turkey burgers from Asda, 0.5 syns eachnand very tasty. Will make 2 of them in to meatballs for tomorrow as well and have with spaghetti.

boats16 · 21/01/2019 20:29

Are they in the chilled@ ALemony ? Good luck for tomorrow Smile

FiveNightsAtMummys · 21/01/2019 20:55

Sorry to hear about your cousin Lemony.

Weigh in for me tomorrow. I've made sure I've used more syns this week (average about 10) to see how it affects my weight loss.

boats16 · 21/01/2019 23:13

@ FiveNights Good luck for tomorrow Smile

OwlinaTree · 22/01/2019 07:14

Who is weighing in today? Me and fivenights and groovee I think.

MissCherryCakeyBun · 22/01/2019 07:33

Hi all....started ten days ago and weighed last night for the 2nd time as I've switched nights ( problems with word cover) and as of last night I've lost 10lbs. So got my 1/2st award last night.
Just eaten my less than exciting but very filling porridge for breakfast. And my frittata packed lunch is done....dealing with Auditors all week at work and that's more than enough stress lol

Good luck for all those weighing today
