Come and join us on this if you have a lot to lose.
I started SW at 24 stone 11lbs and in 14 weeks I have lost 2 stone 5.5lbs.
I am super proud of myself but I have 11 stone 13 pounds to go.
We can do this!
Share what you want..If you need a little bit of motivation or just want to have a good cry.

Personal question.

Does having your period affect your weight loss, other than eating ten ton of chocolate haha.

I'm on my third of the year so first on diet and I'm curious if it'll make a difference tomorrow

Phew, lost 2lb this week - which means I lost the 1.5 lb I gained last week plus another half. What a relief.

A bit miffed to find that flavoured 0% yogurts are now synned! Muller Lights are now 1 syn and the Light and Free ones are either half a syn or 1 syn. Grr. I bet sales of the Muller Lights go down!

TBH most of the yogurt I eat is plain greek 0% fat, but the flavoured ones were good for a free hit of something sweet. Sad

At my heaviest I was 18 stone 2
I had to go gluten free 3 years ago and that helped me get down to 16 stone 3 which is when I joined SW
Just got my 5 stone award this week so am now 11 stone 3
I would like to lose another 1.5 stone but lose very slowly so will probably take me another 6 months

I'd love to start sw but I just can't afford it. I have a 14mo boy and around 10 stone to lose. I was 19 stone when I got pregnant, and by the end I was 22.5. I got back down to 19, but I think I'm probably closer to 20 again now. I've not weighed myself for ages as it's just depressing.

Joining. I started slimming world last January, lost 11 stone I have gained almost 2 stone of that in the past few months and I'm now 10 weeks pregnant. I still have a lot of weight left to lose. finally got back on track on Saturday so hopefully I get a loss when I weigh in on sat :)

Hi ladies!! I am back from my travels! Been naughty and been good so unsure what to expect at weigh in tomorrow 🤷‍♀️. Yesterday my husband said a had got some of my shape back (i was in highwaisted jeans) but you never know i may have lost!

@Lippysoutherner i havent got any tips yet, the stalling points really set me back so im hoping group will help! And any tips from others would be great!!

@WittyWithWine i am glad group was good! How are you now you have been for a few weeks?

@SleepingStandingUp my period totally affects my weight loss, i bloat and eating everything in sight doesnt help either 😂 i also find it harder to say no to naughty things!

@kaitlinktm that miffed me too! Though i am considering not syning them as i only have one or two a day and i have not had a problem losing (when i do it properly!) im still annoyed mugshots are synned! But i have them once in a blue moon so not the end of the world i guess!

@JaceLancs thats an amazing loss so far! As they say it doesnt matter how slow you go as long as you dont stop! (Or something like that!! Haha)

@wa1ru5 i was in your position the start of this year as i was on the tail end of maternity and had no money! I made tuesday my weigh in and stuck to it (even though i wanted to throw my scales at the wall), used instagram (if you have it) to put on my weight loss, meals and get tips, ideas and support and used pinterest (if you have it) to help me with syns. I lost a stone and was doing so well then had some crap happen and lost my flow. But its totally doable and the ladies in this thread are so supportive so that will help to 😊.

@mumof1willbe2 hi!! Thats so amazing how you have done! I hear slimming world is one of the best when you are pregnant 😊

Wow Jace - a bikini! I don't think at my age I will ever wear one again anyway, but just to think that maybe I could - or to even wear a one-piece and go in a pool!

Lost one more pound yesterday, but since then have been constantly hungry. Still, must be focused tomorrow onwards. I don't care if it's slow, I just want it going in the right direction.

Kait it doesn’t matter if it’s slow as long as you keep carrying on! I think going slower has helped my skin too although I’ve got bingo wings and loose skin on thighs and c section overhang it’s nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be for 7 stone loss
The bikini is a high waisted one but can roll down to sunbathe in and it’s surprisingly flattering I bought one from next and another in Sainsbury’s sale

Slow to lose is also slow to gain for me!
In my group there can be horrendous gains post holiday - I’m aiming to maintain or gain up to 3-4 lbs on a 2 week holiday which means 3 weeks between weigh ins
I’ll update when I’m home

@WittyWithWine that is great news! I find group really helpful (though i dont stay every week) and they are friendly which makes a big difference!

@kaitlinktm congrats on your loss! And thats the attitude 😊 even if you lost a pound every week that is still making a difference 😊

I lost 3 pounds this week!! Considering i was away i am so happy. It just goes to show if you plan and bring speed/free snacks that makes a difference!
I also got my half stone award woop woop! And my group leader sent me a congratulations card 😊 i didnt stay to group because i wasnt feeling well.
That all made me feel great but the best bit my work uniform is loose! I have retired my maternity uniform finally (though keeping it for back up incase i run our of clean/ironed ones!)
And im starting to think about getting the next size down uniform out of my vacuum bags.

Hello everyone. I rejoined slimming world yesterday for the 6th time Blush I'm 5 ft 10 and have 5.5 stones to lose. I'm miserable at this size so determined to stick with it and get to my target for the first time ever!

I am better now thanks 😊 we just had a bad night monday night (the joy of teething!) and i got about 3 hours sleep all night so wanted to die/climb back into bed 😂.

@MissMardyBum hello and welcome 😊. I totally get what you mean! Even as im learning to embrace it (while im losing) i still hate looking in the mirror/ having my picture taken!

Hello! I haven't been here for a while. I have been plodding along with SW and have been going to the gym. Losses have been small as I havent been 100% on it each week so its going slowly but it is still going slowly to the right direction.
I want to speed up the process though as I would like to lose 1.5st more before Christmas which would be a total of just over 3st then. This means losing 2lb a week. I feel like I can do it as long as I make sure I stick to the plan 100% which next week will be easy to get back to as I will be off from work.

How is everyone else doing?

@Solina 👋 hi i did wonder where you were hiding! That seems like a good aim to have! I think i might try it too!

I had a 1.5lb gain last night 🙁 i was expecting it to be fair as therw may have been kfc and chocolate overload in the week.........

But this week i am going to be good! Its been so nice my clothes being looser and people saying i look slimmer i want to continue!

Couldn't go this week - booked a holiday because I had to take the cat to the vet. This is always a danger point for me. If I have a week off (even if I'm not away on holiday) I always end up gaining.

@MummatoaMunchin Sounds like we both need to get back in the game this week!

I have been having the same with clothes and nice comments, really motivating. I have gone one size down but am holding out from buying new clothes just yet as I am hoping to buy them in next size instead to save money Grin

@kaitlinktm I know the feeling. I feel that I have only managed to lose by staying each and every week and by sitting through the group. If I didn't I would soon give up and gain like I have in my past tries of losing weight. But just think that next week you will be going and the scales could show even bigger loss than normal instead of a gain! And really just plan, plan and plan what you will be eating to stay on it. You can do it!!

@WittyWithWine well done on your losses!!

I am currently 3lb away from 2st award which I said I would get to next week. Means I have to be 100% on the plan this week so I might be posting here a lot!

I had weigh in today, my first week after joining. I had 2 really bad days where I just ate rubbish. Felt like such a failure on my first week, almost didn’t go to group.
Glad I did though as I lost 4 1/2 lb!!
Convinced it will catch up with me next week though.
