Ooh - congratulations Thegirl how exciting. I had a friend who did really well at SW during her pregnancy - so I hope you do too - I think it's harder in the newborn days, but surely you are allowed a bit of slack then!

I haven't really looked at body magic - tbh don't really understand it - and am hopeless at exercise (this is why my losses are so slow and small I know). I will have to read my book again.

Solina.

Come January I am doing an 8 week short term project at work. While we don't usually wear uniform, this project has uniform as a mandatory requirement.

And I already have the biggest size uniform trousers which don't sodding fit. It is possible to get a custom order done, but this involves you taking all your measurements to management who have to manually input them into the system. Nope and nope again.
Said trousers are all out vile anyway, they are extremely generous in the waist and when my 6 foot husband tried them on they were so long they covered his feet with room to spare.

trampolinemum · 11/08/2018 17:27

Spot the name change fuckup.

When I said generous in the waist I meant high waisted and then some.

LosingLola · 11/08/2018 18:25

I've been doing Slimming World since June and today I got my 1.5 stone award.

MummatoaMunchin · 14/08/2018 10:31

Good morning ladies 😊 i hope you are all good!

@LosingLola thats amazing well done!

@brattitude your trousers of doom sound like my whole work uniform!! I keep alternating between my maternity uniform (i have been back at work since Jan!) and my normal one (which is 2 sizes bigger than the one i was i before i got pregnant! 🤦‍♀️)

But on the bright side i lost 2.5lbs last week which is pretty good as i had a couple of chocolate binges 😁

Ilovewheelychairs · 14/08/2018 10:40

Hi all, would you mind if I hop on? I'm 24 stone and going to start SW (again!!) tonight! We're ttc at the moment though so am hoping the possibility of having a baby will be the final motivator for me!

So, so impressed by all of your losses, and so excited for your pregnancy too :-) Congratulations!

brattitude · 14/08/2018 11:49

Absolutely. Feel free to join us, everyone is welcome here.

Solina · 19/08/2018 07:19

I lost 2lb last Wednesday, so I am getting pretty close to 1.5 stone award now.

I am having an off plan long weekend as I have visitors from home but I am really starting to miss all my usual SW food. Not to mention my stomach can't seem to take all the junk food we have been having. So I might have more of my usual stuff today, my OH is making us a SW roast so dinner is already sorted.

SleepingStandingUp · 19/08/2018 23:22

Can I join?? I started SW a month ago but have basically faffed, lost, gained, holidayed etc. Tomorrow I rejoin and I need to stick to it.

I'm 19 stone so I need to lose at least 9 stone but definitely 3 to have a hope of getting pregnant

MummatoaMunchin · 20/08/2018 09:29

@Solina thats really good well done!
How was your roast?

@SleepingStandingUp of course you can welcome 😊

To the ladies who go to group, what is it like?
I am half considering joining, money is better now so i can just afford it. And hubby made me feel less guilty about going as id be going straight from work (group only does tuesdays) and wouldnt see my son all day (he pointed out i have 4.5 other days of the week with him and it doesnt make me a bad mum to take some time for myself thats not work!)

BUT I dont like attention and the thought of talking with a group watching me is putting me off, plus i really dont want to be there for hours (i really will want to go home 😂 see my hubby and boy)

SleepingStandingUp · 20/08/2018 11:23

Mum there's no real pressure on you to talk etc. Some talk lots, others just say yeah good week, oh god awful week I ate all the cake etc but if you do have a bad week there's an opportunity to talk through why and you pick stuff up from listening to others.

Depending on how busy the group is it can take a while but you are doing this in part for our son as well, so don't feel guilty for making your needs important.
Not sure where you are but the other option is to travel further to a group and take DS with you on another day?

MummatoaMunchin · 20/08/2018 11:58

Ah thats good! I could cope with saying good week/bad week i ate all the cake 😂 I always get nervous and stumble over my words and then go bright red 🙈

That is true im doing it for both of us!

I could go to another group with him, there are lots where i live. Its just he wouldnt sit still and would be making noise etc would be nightmare.

This group is so convenient its 3mins up the road from where i live, rude not to go really!

SleepingStandingUp · 20/08/2018 19:33

Haha how old is he? No kids at ours but my sis takes her son and he just wanders round and gets cuddled a lot haha.

1.5 lbs off today after 3 weeks of chaos - festivals and holidays and the decline into not caring about losing weight. 12.5 lbs in total.

MummatoaMunchin · 21/08/2018 10:11

Hes 1, been walking since about 10 months so into evvvvverything 🙈. Hed love that, he loves attention lol

Well done for your loss! Its hard to keep it up when you have events and stuff

MummatoaMunchin · 21/08/2018 22:16

So i did it i went to group! They were all lovey and welcoming and i got lots of tips!

Starting weight 16st 0.5lbs! 🙁 all that hard work at the start of the year and i put most of it back on!

Feeling cranky with myself but also hopeful!

SleepingStandingUp · 21/08/2018 23:45

Ah well done. I spend most of my waiting around time at group sitting by myself because everyone is in little friendship groups, sits in the same place every week etc

Solina · 23/08/2018 07:27

@MummatoaMunchin roast was lovely, I made a crumble as a pudding too and it was delicious.

Well done on going to group!

I had mine last night and I put on weight. A lot of weight. 5lb Blush but I am pretty sure half of that is because I have been feeling unwell and bloated thanks to the foods I ate. Anyways, just got to drop it off this week.

StormyLovesOdd · 23/08/2018 13:40

Please can I join you. I started SW 2 years ago and have so far lost 4 stone 9 pounds. have about another 3 stone to loose.

I'd be at target by now if I didn't keep sabotarging myself, I'm an emotional eater so I loose a bit then have a bad day and eat my own weight in chocolate to make me feel better (it never does), wish I could break the cycle, I'm really struggling at the moment.

MummatoaMunchin · 23/08/2018 16:58

@SleepingStandingUp, i think i will be the same, and hiding at the back! Ill have to see if everyone sits in the same place.

@Solina That sounds yummy! I need to cook a roast soon! Its the one meal i can do without ruining 😂
Oh no 🙁 at least you know why, fingers crossed for next week!

@StormyLovesOdd of course!! Welcome 😊 well done for your loss so far thats amazing! Dont put yourself down! You have done so well.
Though i am the same a terrible emotional eater. I am reading "eating less" by GIllian RIley (1 page a day at the moment!!) but it might be something that helps you?

amymel2016 · 23/08/2018 17:00

I’ve been doing SW for 10 weeks and got my 2 stone award last night, 4 more to go! It’s the best thing I’ve ever done

SleepingStandingUp · 27/08/2018 19:38

Ugh. Put on 2 lb.

I know how. Been out all week so I end up buying me lunch that DS will eat. DS likes foods that are not SW friendly and only eats a small amount so I still have most of it.

MummatoaMunchin · 28/08/2018 19:25

Evening ladies! So my first weigh in at group i only lost 2lbs, im a bit sad i was hoping for more! But it is a loss so shouldnt complain!

@amymel2016 well done! Id love to lose 2stone in 10 weeks!

@SleepingStandingUp at least you know why! Its hard balancing the kids and being sw friendly

SleepingStandingUp · 28/08/2018 20:46

So I bought a 12 week journal, have planned meals all week and I'm gonna try hard to stick to it. Just cooking shepherd's pie for tomorrow and just had leftover pasta for tea

Solina · 28/08/2018 23:00

@MummatoaMunchin 2lb is a good loss! Well done!

I have started to go to the gym now Shock I am very sore now though! My body isn't used to being worked hard. I can hopefully now work towards my gold award.

Tomorrow is weigh in day and I hope I have lost most of the weight I put on last week. Been pretty good this week!
