Hi - can I join you guys please? It's day 3 of attempt 200 at SW. The first time went super well. I started at 16 stone and lost 4.... then I out it all back on and spent six months starting and stopping again.

Just back from holiday where some horrific photos of this super obese woman did shock me a bit. So, I'm 17 stone and starting all over. It seems like such a long stretch to start and know I need to take it a pound at a time.

I'm not going to group- I understand how to do the plan and find you can Google syns. So if appreciate somewhere to check in, share my successes and moan on those weeks where you eat perfectly and don't lose!

To start on a positive note, my plates over the last three dates have been rainbows of different veg and generally food I've enjoyed more than the beige crap I've settled for in the last six months. And I think I feel less sluggish in the evenings.

MummatoaMunchin · 05/07/2018 08:03

Morning ladies! Sorry i havent been on sooner, i have been at work the last two days and got home and passed out!

@Thegirlwithnousername i am glad the juice is working for you! I couldnt live without it! Has it made a difference?

@Blankiefan Hi Blankie, your like me im doing it alone too. I dont know if you have it but i use instagram to put pictures of my food up. When im being good and not cheating its really helpful especially when your not going to group and the ladies are lovely plus you can get meal ideas 😊

I weighed myself on tues, i maintained (initially i thought id lost then when i went to log it saw it was the same as last week sadtimes 🙁) so i am still 15st 9.5lbs. But better than a gain!

I am trying to be good but there were biscuits at work and i cannot resist temptation 🙈 but home today so going to try for an SP day!

Thegirlwithnousername · 05/07/2018 20:35

Just a quick one as it's my 30th birthday today!...Dedication I went and got weighed, 1.5lb off! so I am 1lb away from 2.5 stone now!
Will be back to read everyone's tomorrow :)

@thegirlwithnousername well done that's amazing. I get back tomorrow from hols, usual weigh day is a saturday but booked this off, going to do a really good focussed week so will hopefully lose what I've put on. Might weigh at home Saturday morning so can see what im working with. We've enjoyed lots of tapas and a few alcohol drinks but not gone too wild. We have walked just short of 50k steps in 2 days so my feet are killing, and it's been 35 degrees here so might have counterbalanced some of the damage. Either way, it's been an amazing few days and I've enjoyed myself!

SMALLBIG · 06/07/2018 04:30

Hi ladies can i join you please?

I started slimming world two years ago and lost 6stone had a stone to go until target. But since the started of this year I have been suffering from health problems that the doctors are looking into but it has helped me put about a stone and half back on. So I am slowly trying get back on track and lose the weight I have put on. But am finding it really hard to stay focused. I feel embrassed that i gained the weigh and I am turning to food which is also making me feel worse. I still go to group every week.
So anyway I am putting on my positive pants and today is a new day and the start of my journey forwards. I done it before can do it again. Have a great day. Xx

Thegirlwithnousername · 06/07/2018 18:01

I have got back on it today and had a low syn lunch!

@Thegirlwithnousername

Im glad you had a lovely birthday. It was mine on Tuesday. Not having a great week at all Sad

Fatloser1 · 08/07/2018 07:02

Can I join please?
I lost a lot of weight previously. I only had 1st 12lbs to lose until target but stupidly I have now gained 2st 7lbs back. I am so angry at myself and on top of that I have lost all motivation.

I'm needing that omph back and I'm hoping some support will help.

SMALLBIG · 08/07/2018 07:09

Fatloser1 Hi i totally know how you feel. But remember you have done it once you can do it again. Try not think to much about how much you have to go to get back to where you were. This can be dishearting. Just break it into little chunks. Good luck.

Wildernessie · 08/07/2018 07:41

My reality check was meeting a new doctor&doin weigh in/BP..she suggested i was pre-diabetic..id changed job/lifestyle4years ago and went from a lifetime of size12-14 to size22..so 4years of no regular jogging, swimming, gym which i was a lifelong fan of and gradually eating what i wanted whenever i wanted..completely fixiated on food&impossible to feel full.I told Doc i was too scared to know my weight but promised id do something about it as i knew i was in complete denial about portion size&my lack of activity..the suggestion of pre-diabetes&sky high BP was terrifying..I drove home and consoled myself with a couple of pie&chips knowing i wouldnt eat them again(think hearing it from a doc in front of DD was just wat i needed).i started looking at where i could cut calories&still feel full.Gave away food i wouldnt be eating to neighbours..Restricted carbs to 40g per day as knew it was my downfall..mounds of pasta,cheese&butter,door-stop toast&butter&cheese on everything(first week was hellish exercise in willpower)&literally stuffed face with veg&protein shakes, tofu&eggs&learnt what a portion was..i didnt expect to feel/see difference so quick but after 4months phoned the doc to find out what weight i mustve started out at to figure out what id lost.id managed3stone by sticking to roughly1300 cals per day..upped dogwalking&do leg/calf raises&push ups waiting for kettle&microwave in kitchen..just got a second hand rowing machine&do30mins night..just so chuffed to feel fitter&more mobile.Just focus on complete lifestyle change&focus on health-i almost feel evangelical about my veg/stir-fries&protein shakes&properly love my new weights..getting my toned arms out after4years of cardis over everything feels better than any food tasted!!you can totally do it..once im in my old clothes(about20lb to go) ill eat the same but add 1small meal..

Fatloser1 · 08/07/2018 07:44

Thank you so much.
I get so obsessive about weight. I think breaking it down is a good plan.
Goal one -next stone bracket (5lbs)
Goal two - 1st half stone (2lbs)
And so on.
Good luck everyone, we can do this. If anyone would like recipe ideas I'm more than happy to help. I have many Smile

SMALLBIG · 08/07/2018 08:09

Fatloser i would love so recipe ideas. I am sick of eating the same stuff. Am breaking it into little bits to. 3.5lbs to go to get back my 5stone award.

bluetrampolines · 08/07/2018 08:49

Ok Your Christmas motivation has really helped me.

Solina · 08/07/2018 08:53

Welcome to all new people! Smile

I finally told one of my friends that I do SW and I have already had the "I dont think you should eat that". Which is the reason why I didnt want to tell anyone. I guess it was lesson learned and I wont be sharing with anyone else until they realise on their own.

I had another party to go to yesterday so I had another planned off evening. It wasn't too bad so I think it shouldn't affect my weight loss this week but just in case I will be doing lots of body magic today and maybe will have a max of 5 syns today.

Hope everyone will have a lovely Sunday! Smile

Thegirlwithnousername · 08/07/2018 15:40

Fatloser1
Well done on your weight loss, You have done it before and you can do it again :) But like someone said forget about what you put back on and concentrate on how much you have lost :). Recipes can be helpful, I know I get stuck eating the same sort of stuff.

Solina
Hm not good in regards to your friends! Sounds like a good idea to let them guess that you are doing SW :)
Hope you manage to stick to your 5syns plan.

I had another surprise BBQ last night, My sister and her family from Wales came down and it was lovely we had so much fun!, I was pretty good actually but my other sister (I have 3) made an amazing chocolate cake with smarties on top and omg it was amazing! I won't hold my breath for any sort of loss this week lol!.
Although I am back on it today so I have 5 days be really good!

Hope everyone is okay!
Sorry I did this on my phone so I apologise if I missed anyone :)

Solina · 08/07/2018 18:58

Thegirlwithnousername your BBQ sounds lovely. I think you can still manage a loss as its only one day and like you said you still have 5 more days to go.

I bought some of the low calorie ice cream Sainsbury's has. When I opened it the tub was only half full! Seemed a bit of a con as the tub is same size as all the others like ben and jerry's but way more expensive than most normal ice creams Angry
I will try some of the halo top next as I will be doing an online shop with ocado and they sell it. Maybe they will actually fill the tub all the way! Has anyone here tried it?

Uglykidflo · 08/07/2018 20:02

Hi, can I join you. I am hugely upset with myself as I lost 3.5 stone 2 years ago and felt amazing but have managed to put 2.5 back on just by being reckless. I darent way myself but think I am about 20 stone so need to lose a good few stone. I'm cross because I felt so much happier with how I looked, fitter, able to run around with my 8 year old and generally wear clothes that were quite cool. I'm now back to wearing anything that fits and is loose so mainly big, black baggy t shirts with black jogging underneath. I need to give myself a big wake up call and stop making excuses and get on with it. I know I can do it so it's just getting my head in the right place, being more organised and planning my lunches do that I don't go to the snack van at work. My husband is really supportive and cooks fabulous dinners, mainly Sliming world or Joe wickes recipes so I shouldn't have a problem but I just sabotage myself by stuffing my face with my sons chocolate buttons or biscuits when no ones looking. I am taking inspiration from you all and am going to get my arse in gear, make a salad for my lunch tomorrow and get up early and go for a walk before the school run and work. Thank you ladies, reading your stories has motivated me. We can do this!!!!!

brattitude · 08/07/2018 21:34

Can I also join this club?

Ive got 41kg to lose, and have previously lost 15kg on SW but then put it all back on again.

And I'm not skinderella, infact quite far from it. And I've got a health condition that is only being made worse by me being seriously overweight.

My motivation for this is partly because running around after the kids is just.....exhausting, however come January next year I will be on a short-term project with work that involves me wearing uniform (we don't usually). I've already got my uniform, its the largest size the uniform company stock without having to have a 'special' order however I have put on weight since getting the stuff. Tight doesnt even come into it. And I'm not putting in a special order as that involves you taking a tape measure to every part of your body and then sending in the measurements. No, just no.

So I've signed up for 3 months on the SW website. Time to sort myself out.

MummatoaMunchin · 09/07/2018 16:18

MummatoaMunchin · 09/07/2018 23:20

@BettyBettyBetty

MummatoaMunchin · 10/07/2018 07:46

Morning ladies

Feeing grumpy this morning, i weighed myself and i gained 0.5lbs nothing in the scheme of things but its annoyed me. Im sick of being fat and i have events coming up that i really wanted to feel good about myself for 🙁 plus i had a picture taken at the weekend (i usual avoid it when i can) and i looked horrible my arms are so huge! 🙁

Anyway rant over onwards and upwards my first event is the 29th july (sons 1st bday party) theres still time to make a dent! I have also ordered Eating Less say Goodbye to over eating so im hoping that will help!

🤞 no one brings any sweets or biscuits to work today otherwise i may cry lol

Sorry for the long post! Have a lovely day ladies 😊
