Hope you had a better night, Mumma, and your son is on the mend. You’ll soon be back on track with even more losses, just be kind to yourself.

Kaitlinktm, how are you doing?

MummatoaMunchkin · 22/02/2019 16:31

Thanks LouLou! We had a much better night (and a 3 hour nap today!) so things are looking much better 😊

kaitlinktm · 26/02/2019 11:50

Hi Lou - sorry I haven't been on. I booked a week off last week because my car was in for MOT and service (4 new tyres - damn!) but have had a fraught 2 weeks due to my father's 90th birthday party (big cake - but that was my fault), relatives visiting, doing stuff for parents and being presented with crumpets (which they know I love) and (more) cake - so the upshot is another half pound on. However, I did think it might be worse, what with a big meal out and takeaways etc, so at least I know why.

I have now got rid of the cheese Mum gave me (don't ask, sometimes I think she jinxes me) and half the cake my SIL brought (why?) - just got to either palm the other half off on my son or even chuck it in the bin!

Here's hoping for next week!

LouLou789 · 26/02/2019 21:29

Hi Kaitlin, wow you have done really well to put on only half a pound with all that going on. Sounds like it’s very hard for you with lots of cheese and cake around! I’ve had a busy few days with OH Birthday and our anniversary and an overnight trip away so I predict no loss at all this week for me, and probably a gain. However, this week I have chucked out 7 dresses that drown me, brought 4 other dresses into use (you know, the ones you buy, thinking “I’ll slim into these”) and have bought a pair of good quality leggings 2 sizes smaller, hurrah!

Mumma how’s your little one?

How’s everyone getting on?

LouLou789 · 28/02/2019 07:53

Well I stayed the same which is pretty fab after three (sensible) meals out and a trough of wine Smile

kaitlinktm · 28/02/2019 11:01

Well done Lou. I was just thinking what a non-slimmer would make of our conversation, here we are, you congratulating me on only putting on half a pound and me congratulating you on staying the same. You have to know the sort of journey we are on to understand don't you.

As for the rest of SIL's cake, when I was putting the shopping in the fridge last night I moved the cake and it slid on the floor, so my DS put it in the bin - temptation gone. Now I only have to battle the multipack of crisps she brought. Fortunately only cheese and onion left and I might well get my other son to take them home.

Go us - here's to losses next week!

LouLou789 · 28/02/2019 12:28

Yep, thank you, losses for us both next week, Kaitlin!

I’ve been thinking of SW as a journey but it isn’t really, it’s a way of life and that’s why there will be ups and downs. I don’t have a target weight, or envisage ever thinking “Right, that’s it”. I just want to improve my life, and it’s improved so much already. And we definitely deserve congrats for that 😀

kaitlinktm · 28/02/2019 12:37

I don't have a target weight either - only because it would seem unachievable because I have so much to lose. Yes I agree, it's not a journey as such is it, this is our life now - it might sound sad to some but I don't feel that way about it, unless I am feeling down in the dumps generally.

MummatoaMunchkin · 03/03/2019 08:06

Hey everyone! Sorry i have been off was celebrating our wedding anniversary, and i was very naughty so much food and alcohol but it was nice.

Loulou he is much better now and started sleeping better thank god!! Hes been at grandads the last two nights so i have caught up on sleep!

I didnt go to group on Tuesday, i have decided its not working for me, i am a weigh in in the morning person and i was finding it so hard not eating much during the day and barely seeing a loss.
I know it shouldnt make a difference but my clothes are looser and i feel like i have lost to then find its only half a pound was very frustrating!

So i am re re re re starting again! I think i will weigh in Monday mornings as im off but i will be working Mondays again soon so will change my day i think.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend!!

Blink1982 · 03/03/2019 22:30

Evening all. I need back on track. I started fat club after my 1dt baby in 3013 i lost a massive 6 stone, but it took me 4 years. After my 2nd baby i tried and tried to get back on it, but ive failed. Im 18st 9. Too fat to go on the sodding slide today at the themepark. I started back again last week but ive not stuck to it.

Once im off sweets and crisps for a while i can easily refuse them. But right now i cant stop it. Im so crap.

kaitlinktm · 05/03/2019 11:01

Blink don't feel down - I know it's easy to feel that way - I do a bit at the moment - but keep trying to start afresh each day.

Mumma - I weigh in in the mornings too, I have found it much better. When I was working full time and had to go in the evenings I always gave up.

I lost 2lb this morning, so I should feel great, but two lots of bad news this week put weight loss a bit into perspective - perhaps we should remind ourselves on those bad weeks, that there are worse things happen.

Have a good week everyone.

MummatoaMunchkin · 05/03/2019 15:00

Hi Bink welcome! I agree with kaitlin, you shouldnt be so hard on yourself!

Thats so good katlin!! Im sorry about your news though are you ok?
Yeah i prefer weighing in the morning it feels like its my true weight.

So i have started again and weigh 15st 10.5lbs so hoping for some progress again!

kaitlinktm · 05/03/2019 16:50

Yes am well thanks Mumma - it is a family member being made redundant and another elderly family member causing us no end of headaches.

LouLou789 · 06/03/2019 06:55

Hello Blink, welcome along, hope you feel you can make a fresh start. Good to do it now and start moving in a positive direction.

Mumma, whatever works for you. Every day can be a new start! I do it from home on my own and just come on here. We can do this together 😃

Kaitlin I’m sorry to hear there are these family issues. You’re right: it puts things in perspective. Don’t let these things stop you focusing on yourself though, you have done fantastically this week with that 2lb off. How many more for your 3 stone now?

After a stay the same last week I’m delighted to have lost 3 pounds this week so that’s now 2 and a half stone, and finally a couple of people have noticed. Although the remarks that people make are hilarious, that’s a whole other topic, what’s the worst/funniest thing that’s been said to you about your weight?

MummatoaMunchkin · 07/03/2019 19:59

Oh Kaitlin im sorry! Feel free to rant here, and your right it does put things into perspective.

Loulou every day is literally a new start 😂 yeah we will 😊.
Well on your loss you must be chuffed! And congrats on hitting 2 and a half stone!
Its nice when people start noticing! The first time i lost loads of weight my friend said to me "you loose any more we wont be able to see you" that was nice! If anyone says that again i will be happy!

But Loulou what did they say to you?

LouLou789 · 09/03/2019 06:33

How is everyone?

Here are two things said to me last week:

  1. Are you looking a bit slimmer? Oh that’s wonderful, good for you, how are you doing it? And are you feeling well? I’m so pleased for you (hug)
  1. Oh....you look so well, I hear you’ve lost weight, how are you doing it? (Listens to my reply) ohhh SW wonderful. Cos of course, all that weight, it’s not good, it shows there’s something (does winding motion with finger round side of head in manner of insulting, inappropriate and childish “mental” action) is not right, you know...in your..........in your....
Me: My metabolism? Person 2: Yes, your metabolism!

Which reaction do you think I preferred? 🤣🤣🤣

Here’s hoping for a good weekend for us all. Despite our “metabolism”😡

MummatoaMunchkin · 10/03/2019 08:41

Hey Lou im ok thanks you?

I think reaction 1 😂. Some people just dig holes!

MissDemelzaCarne · 10/03/2019 19:10

Although the remarks that people make are hilarious, that’s a whole other topic, what’s the worst/funniest thing that’s been said to you about your weight?

Someone congratulated me on my 3.5 stone loss this week and said how well I was looking but followed it with “you’re not going to lose any more are you?”. Hmm

I’m still bloody obese and need to lose the same again!

LouLou789 · 10/03/2019 21:34

Demelza, sometimes it feels as if we can’t win! You’ve done brilliantly. It occurs to me that certain people can feel more comfortable (about themselves) if we are fatties, and therefore feel “threatened “ when we change. Big Raspberries to them!

I’m doing fine, thanks Mumma. Having an interesting time with bras and trying to sort out whether to to go down a back size or a cup size. I’ve chucked two out but it’s one thing to try on the things I’ve got already, and quite another to decide what to buy!

Good luck with everyone’s weigh- ins

kaitlinktm · 12/03/2019 10:47

Loulou - I was told that if the bra rides up at the back, the back size is too big. Don't know if it's true though. Also, what sort of friend indicates that you have mental health problems. I would have been cross - you are obviously more patient than I am.

Well done Demelza - you sound as if you have a similar amount to lose as I have but you are doing better - I am stuck at 2.5 stones.

Put a pound ON this week - buggrit. Saturday night visitors bringing tempting treats will have to stop.

Onwards and upwards!

MummstoaMunchkin · 12/03/2019 13:39

Ahhh thats good Loulou! I got new bras for the first time in 19 months since my son was born (have been wear nursing bras!) its nice to wear proper bras again.

Katlin thats annoying! Temptation is too hard to resist isnt it?!

Well done on you loss Demelza, take it as a complement i loved it when people said that to me even though i had a lot more to lose. It was a little confidence boost.

I stayed the same this week, im happy with that as i did have an easter egg. My dad got me and my son one (hubby doesnt really eat chocolate) and they had cute toys, dinosaur for my son and unicorn for me 😂.

Yes ladies i am 30 in June a wife and mother and i like unicorn cuddly toys 😂😂 ( though son has stolen it!!)

LouLou789 · 12/03/2019 19:54

Mumma, you’re never too old for a unicorn 😃 Staying the same was a good result after an egg.

Kaitlin, shame about the pound. I’ve read a few times in your posts that you stick to plan, but other people are bringing you stuff. They probably mean well but I feel a bit cross on your behalf, it’s so much easier if the stuff isn’t in the house, isn’t it?

As for what that woman said, I agree it was awful but am choosing to be amused. I’m very proud of what I’ve lost so far and I just laugh off people’s ignorance.

Good tip about the bras!

LouLou789 · 13/03/2019 08:14

Ooh I’ve lost another 3 pounds, I don’t know why the weight loss has suddenly improved. I am certainly moving a bit faster as I’m pottering around and maybe portion sizes?

kaitlinktm · 13/03/2019 10:44

Yay Loulou - you are an inspiration!

Talking of portion sizes, I think you might be right (looking back at the enormous plateul of stuff I had on Monday - all free, but potatoes etc).

kaitlinktm · 13/03/2019 10:44

Doh - plateFul - I am having trouble with my f key sticking.
