Anyone reporting in with today’s weigh-ins?

You know we were talking about OHs and their attitudes to our eating ? Well, my OH was maybe 20 pounds over ideal BMI when I started SW. I have a great deal to lose and have stuck to the plan, and 2 stones gone, which is great. OH has continued to indulge in an array of pork pies, biscuits and sausage rolls while at work but shares my SW meal most evenings and for two lunches a week. He HAS given up evening biscuits, but I still think it’s a bit unfair that he’s lost 12 pounds!

FlopsyMopsyRabbit · 09/02/2019 20:01

-1 this week, I got my 3 stone award! I was expecting a bigger loss but I'm still pleased.

How is every one getting on today? I find weekends very hard to stay on plan but I have done today.

kaitlinktm · 09/02/2019 20:52

Well done Flopsy!!

toddle · 09/02/2019 22:16

Huge well done on that award @FlopsyMopsyRabbit

4.5lb off total of 13.5lb in 4 weeks. Gobsmacked

I'm putting it down to increased speed at the start of the week, less syns and no snacking at all.

I found one of my old slimming world books ontop of my fridge today. I obviously joined when I thought I was too big and decided to do something about it. All great, but that starting weight was 5 stone less then this joining weight!

MummatoaMunchkin · 10/02/2019 11:08

Thats amazing well down @FlopsyMopsyRabbit and toddle @toddle your doing amazingly!!

Toddle its crazy isnt it! When i was at uni i was convinced i was fat now i look at pictures and wish i was that weight!

@LouLou789 its so annoying isnt it? I know they have a fast metabolism but its still not fair we have to work so hard!

LouLou789 · 10/02/2019 13:29

We do, Mumma!

Well done Flopsy and toddle, I’m delighted for you both.

I sometimes see ladies on SW groups on FB with their before and after pics and think I would just be delighted to look like their “before”!

toddle · 10/02/2019 13:36

Same here with the dp's weight although overweight he just doesn't seem to get any bigger. Regardless of his crappy eating. I know how I've gained the weight but why hasn't he gained a similar amount. Unfair.

Here's to February! Good luck all.

MissDemelzaCarne · 10/02/2019 13:38

I finally got my 3 1/2 stone award this week - half way there! Blush

toddle · 10/02/2019 14:05

Amazing achievement @MissDemelzaCarne!!!

LouLou789 · 10/02/2019 22:11

Congratulations, MissDemelzaCarne! What’s your top tip?

MummatoaMunchkin · 12/02/2019 10:35

Im the same LouLou! I need to do-some pictures to get me motivated!

My husband is a bit overweight but he doesnt look it at all! He could even pass it off as muscle jammy git 😂

@MissDemelzaCarne thats amazing well done!

Weigh day for me today 🤞 i have had a bit of a dicky tummy so am very bloated and sore 🙁 but im hoping has cleared me out a bit (sorry tmi!!)

kaitlinktm · 12/02/2019 12:16

Put another half pound on. Sad Blush

MissDemelzaCarne · 12/02/2019 13:19

Perseverance @LouLou789, I’ve had some terrible gains, especially over Christmas but have just stuck at it,. It’s taken me 10 months to lose this so I could have done better and still have a long way to go. Blush
My next goal is a BMI of under 30.

LouLou789 · 12/02/2019 13:28

Yes, Demelza, The Two Chubby Cubs put an interesting post on their wall yesterday. Two pics a year apart and they said all those 1lb losses add up to a lot, so perseverance is key. Well done to you!

Sorry about your tum, Mumma, hope you’re better now and have a good result today.

Kaitlin, how frustrating! It just feels as if we need to find the ONE thing that would kick start things for you. One thing I am trying to do now is cut down the carb element of my main meal. Dunno if it will do any good but fingers crossed.

LouLou789 · 14/02/2019 07:04

How is everyone?

Happy Valentines Day (ducks to avoid the rotten tomatoes)

Another 2lb gone for me so that’s 30 pounds now. Happy 😃

MummatoaMunchkin · 14/02/2019 20:20

Hey @LouLou789 i am good today thanks how are you? Happy Valentines to you too 😊
My tummy is much better now thanks, not sure what caused that!!

I woke up today and my attitude had shifted. For the first time in a long time i didnt want to eat everything in sight and had some restraint 😊 i have posted on instagram again and am going to try and remember to do it everyday!

I only last 1lb on tues but it was a loss and im happy.

Oh no @kaitlinktsm how annoying do you know why?

MummatoaMunchkin · 14/02/2019 20:21

Oooo and congrats @LouLou789 for the 2lb loss! I bet you are a happy bunny!!

LouLou789 · 17/02/2019 22:30

Well done Mumma, another pound off 😀

Weight loss can be slow (mine is!) but what’s keeping me going is the benefits I am already seeing. I’ve lost 30 pounds now and whilst I’m still the size of a small market town, I can get upstairs pretty easily now, I’ve lost 6 inches on my waist and chucked out two bras, some giant pants and a few dresses. And I feel so much better. This is the first winter in living memory that I haven’t been seriously ill with my chest. YEY!

toddle · 17/02/2019 22:40

2lb off this week! 1 stone 1.5lb in 5 weeks very pleased.

I can't wait to be able to start to throw some clothes out it must feel amazing.

pembs · 17/02/2019 22:43

I lost 4 stone in 5 months on SW and kept it off now for 14 months. Total lifestyle change rather than a diet. Stay to class and get all the help you can get even when u reach your goal.

LouLou789 · 17/02/2019 23:05

That’s fantastic, toddle!! I reckon as a bigger person it’s about 1stone 5 or 6 for a dress size. Nearly there 😃

Pembs, thats such brilliant advice, thank you. It is indeed a lifestyle change

LouLou789 · 20/02/2019 08:27

Another 2lb for me so that’s 2 stone 4 now. Am really noticing the difference now. No one else has noticed! People keep saying how well I look etc and I wonder if they’re maybe a bit reluctant to mention the weight loss in case a. I haven’t lost weight or b. I’m offended they’ve mentioned weight. You know that thing about the elephant in the room? Well it seems I am the elephant! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hope everyone is having a good week. Are some of you on half term?

MummatoaMunchkin · 20/02/2019 19:13

Just half a pound off yesterday, i am feeling too miserable to be sad its not more and losing so thats good.

@LouLou789 well done!! It takes people longer to notice than you do for yourself of that makes sense! But dont call yourself an elephant you are not.
No half term for me thank god!

@toddle thats great! I wish i got knuckle down and do that in 5 weeks!

@pembs That is amazing! I wish i could stay to group i think it would help!
The advice is very true!

LouLou789 · 20/02/2019 19:27

Sorry you’re feeling down at the moment, Mumma, well done on another loss, it all adds up. Anything we can help you with?

MummatoaMunchkin · 21/02/2019 22:06

@LouLou789 thanks you 😊 im just tired and run down and the little man has a double ear infection so thats a joy 😂

You are right it does add up and i like to think that doing it slowly means its truly gone for good!

Just posting in here and chatting to you all does my the world of good 😊

Hope everyone is well 😊
