jo I split mine. Smile

I tried the jacket potatoes in slow cooker yesterday. 6 hours on high and they were still not cooked through. Not sure how I can have done anything wrong!!!! Perhaps my slow cooker is just not high enough, but normally I use it for absolutely everything and it is always fine. The only other thing I have had an issue with in the past is the cakes I used to cook in there pre SW took twice as long as everyone else's. Perhaps I should zap them in the microwave for a few minutes first. Hmm

WI last night and 1.5lb off for me. I was pleased with that. Just 1.5 more to get to my pre holiday weight. I am finding that I need to do more and more SP days to get any sort of loss now. I cannot drink any sort of carbonated drink, either. Has anyone else found this?

FaithEverPresent · 25/10/2017 08:14

Hello, it’s Faith, with a name tweak. I’m back on it after weeks of comfort eating. Still struggling with this abdo pain, now a ? endometriosis problem. Waiting to be seen (privately as NHS was going to be months). Back to work, pushed my Occ health. That will help me stay on track as I can’t eat mindlessly at work!

PA someone on a Facebook slow cooker page was saying they never have success with SC jackets! I’ve cut right down on carbonated drinks, they make me really fast which affects my weight loss. It does come off more slowly as you get towards target. Every half lb is hard fought!

NightOfTheDeadXmasFairy · 25/10/2017 08:24

Day 3 of my 5 day salvage operation Grin going well. I think!! Need to remember to stop picking when I make the girls dinner/breakfast. Just little bits but they add up!!

I’ve never done jackets in the slow cooker. Something to try next week.

Next in my slow cooker will be there pinch of nom Caribbean stew. Anyone tried it????

Flutterby81 · 25/10/2017 08:32

I just saw that Caribbean stew last night and thought hate one to try!

Flutterby81 · 25/10/2017 08:32

Making lots from the new magazine this week last night was the tomato fish bake and COus COus which was yummy.

Scribblegirl · 25/10/2017 08:52

These recipes sound yummy - definitely need to pinch some!

WI at lunchtime today. Have been 100% on plan except for my 22 syns on Sunday - but I've had a grand total of 2 since then so hoping things will even up!

thisgirlrides · 25/10/2017 09:10

Tricky day today as I'm out for lunch then gong with dc to a friends for tea. Will pack lots of fruits and try and make sensible choices (think we're having spag Bol tonight so just need to stay away from the cheese & garlic bread!) . Breakfast was a SW fry-up with half my HEB for bread and already feeling better and less bloated Smile

B1rdonawire · 25/10/2017 10:23

Hi ChocolateAddict - I am doing it online (single parent and no bloody time to get to a group!). It's fine, but I am really helped by a friend who gives me phone/email kicks up the bum when needed, as she recently got to target and was my inspiration for starting. I'm 18 weeks in and almost at 2 and half stone off, which makes me very Grin

Scribblegirl · 25/10/2017 12:44

2.5lb off! Very happy. From past experience being on plan all week tends to equate to me losing 1 - 1.5lb so the extra pound is a bonus Smile

NightOfTheDeadXmasFairy · 25/10/2017 13:12

Well done scribble!

My WI is Saturday morning. I’m at the cinema Friday night with DP so will need to plan some snacks to avoid my buying a fat popcorn or hot dog

TinselAngel · 25/10/2017 13:35

Can anybody recommend a recipe for cauliflower pizza base? I’m intrigued.

onestepforwardtenstepsback · 25/10/2017 17:49

Hi not caught up on the full thread yet. But it was weigh day for me this morning and I lost 1 1/2. Back on it now and hoping for a better loss next Wednesday as my husbands away!
So 12 1/2 to go to target hopefully be there by Christmas Smile

UnwiseOldElf · 25/10/2017 18:01

So after my mystery gain two weeks ago I have continued doing exactly the same, planwise, and lost 6lb in the past week Shock. Water retention is a cruel thing! Wink. Got my Club 10 too. Feels like things are going in the right direction. It’s very discouraging when you get a gain though - could easily have derailed me...

Oldowl · 25/10/2017 18:09

Well done OldElf. 6lb is amazing!

Groovee · 25/10/2017 19:01

@UnwiseOldElf it keeps happening to me that I am 100% and get a gain. Then lose big the following week. I’ve now worked out it happens every 4 weeks. As I was on the mini pill until July it’s taken a few months to work out my unexplained gains and get my head round it.

Well done to everyone who lost Iv been 109% on plan since Monday and it feels good to be on track! Just made chicken amatriciana from the magazine and it was delicious will definetly make it again.

Flutterby81 · 25/10/2017 19:20

Meant to say 100% lol

NightOfTheDeadXmasFairy · 25/10/2017 20:59

No flutterby! You own that extra 9%!!!

Trills · 25/10/2017 21:54

+2 this week but never mind, I did have two very nice meals out. Nothing planned this week so should be able to be on plan.

I bought a 12-week countdown so I've got the new Comfort Food book.

Groovee · 26/10/2017 07:55

One day back at work and I am fit for nothing. Thinking about making scrambled egg for breakfast. But it’s the getting off my bum to make it 😂

Hi all, I'm in the middle of my birthday week! Lots of celebrating of the big 40 here, not much sw going on! Last few days have been like this

Fri - mainly cake and booze
Sat - hangover bread and a takeaway
Sun - on plan
Mon - on plan
Tues - not bad but some booze and cake
Wed - on plan

Predictions for the coming days
Today - looks like all meals out, and posh meal with dh
Fri - probably on plan
Sat - big night out, not on plan
Sun - will depend on how bad my hangover is

After that I'll be back to normal!!Grin so 50/50 between fine and really not over the half term. Still, it will be worth it.

I was so near target when I last weighed in, my dream scenario would be a sts on Tuesday, (which is possible as I missed weigh in the previous week so have 10 on plan days in the bag in advance of all this partying) and then I can get to target by Xmas.

Most likely I'll have a gain though! I'm alright about it at the mo.

Glad to see some new members on here, welcome all. Sw does work and I've been really enjoying celebrating my birthday feeling great about my body!

Groovee · 26/10/2017 10:44

Happy 40th Birthday @OwlinaTree

Jo2217 · 26/10/2017 13:13

Afternoon! Quick check in on my lunch break k, which had chicken and lots of veg with some rice - zero idea on syns. It was made, portioned and frozen before I started SW but the rest of the day has been Hex for breakfast with toast, and I wanted 2 slices so synned at 6+1 for 1 tsp flora extra light spread. And I've discovered giant chocolate chip snack a jacks 😮😮😮 3syns each so that and a banana for lunch too. Spaghetti bol for dinner which has 50ml of red wine in and will serve 2 so that's a syn too. Other Hex has been milk in tea ☺️ feeling pretty happy.

I'm doing this without membership since I cannot afford it really - this thread is my only support link. But I've done my research and have a good idea so fingers crossed ☺️ flutterby would you be able to post the chicken amatriciana by any chance? :)

Also no idea why the SC potatoes didn't work... I've never had a problem.. Maybe start off with 2 and make sure you're getting the right air circulation..? My SC is just a bog standard £20 Tesco one I bought years ago x
