Big night out last night, loads of booze and a three course meal for dh Xmas party. Bad head today.

Managed to resist the temptation to scoff loads of crap when drunk, had a bag of popcorn out of a vending machine instead of a massive bag of chips!

pandorawithtreaclecolouredhair · 02/12/2017 17:29

Is anyone else really missing Scan Bran, and has anyone found anything that's as high in fibre content, for filling power and keeping things on the go!
My Consultant has said that Scan Bran isn't being made anymore; seems right, as there's none to be had in Holland and Barrett either.

Groovee · 02/12/2017 20:56

51 weeks difference. Our weekend away has been a mare!

Pandora - I use wheatbran. you get a MASSIVE bag in holland and Barratt for less than a £1. I use it for making a filling pudding. It's 60gms for HE B, so I use 30gms, 2 eggs, half pot of quark, 1 tablespoon of sweetener (1 syn) and flavouring of choice. Eaten with fruit on the top it is very filling and quite acceptabley yummy as much as it can be anyway

I totally lost control on Thursday for the 1st time in 18 months. am now clawing it back and damage limitation before weigh in on Tuesday. Blush
Just made a really nice butternut squash and onion hash to go with my Saturday night steak. Was really nice!

OwlinaTree · 02/12/2017 23:07

Looking good, groovee! I like your dress.

Oldowl · 03/12/2017 10:16

Wow! Groovee, you look amazing! What a difference a year can make.

I have only been doing SW since Sept, but it is a lovely feeling to get into a smaller size of clothes comfortably... and for your teenage children to notice and say how nice you look!

Groovee · 03/12/2017 17:00

Thank you. Fully expecting a gain this week.

Wow well done groovee Smile

latedecember1963 · 04/12/2017 11:59

Lovely photos, Groovee! The 2nd photo really shows how your confidence has grown from the 1st photo.

Hope your day got better, Caremummy. I used to do similar with chocolate hobnobs and then berate myself when it was too late.

I've lost 2 1/2 lbs this morning so I'm very happy. DH has embraced cooking proper meals which has been a revelation for him as well as me! He'd only ever considered himself a heater-upper of things from the freezer until 2 weeks ago.

Hope everyone has a good week.

Groovee · 04/12/2017 14:57

Thanks @latedecember1963 well done on the loss too.

Our heating is broken. It's sooooo cold!

Oh no! Does shivering count as body magic?

UnwiseOldElf · 04/12/2017 21:25

So I stayed with my cousin again this weekend. She knows I’m on SW and provided pizza and salted caramel chocolate tart for dinner. Er. What? Hello? Okayyyy...

Anyway I still lost a bloody half pound and got my next award - 2.5 stone off so far!

Am bit chuffed.

Groovee · 05/12/2017 10:58

Heating fixed.

Well done @UnwiseOldElf

Weigh in tonight

Thank you, PA: I will buy some wheat bran to try.
It's bound to taste nicer than scan bran.

thisgirlrides · 05/12/2017 11:26

@Groovee you look amazing well done and everyone else on your losses. Maintained this week which was expected so hoping for a better loss this week if I stop DH cooking everything with butter Hmm

amusedbush · 05/12/2017 14:13

Hello all, I'm back from Paris and back on plan after four lovely, food and wine filled days! I weighed in at 12st 3 on Friday morning (0.5lbs up from the week before but also a day early) and this morning I was 12st 8. I definitely can't sniff at that - I thoroughly enjoyed myself and ate whatever I wanted.

We landed in Glasgow at 4pm and by 6pm I was sitting on a spin bike at the gym - how's that for dedication?? Wink

Groovee · 05/12/2017 14:14

Well done @thisgirlrides. I'm hoping for a maintain this week as I was away again.

Groovee · 05/12/2017 14:14

Lol @amusedbush I came home on Sunday and hit my Burlesque class as I had missed it the week before.

Petaldrops · 05/12/2017 14:35

Well done @UnwiseOldElf & @thisgirlrides. @amusedbush you sound like you had a great weekend so it's always worth it and that's some dedication to go straight to the gym bravo :)
Hoping for a loss this week but as I was expecting a gain last week I'm sort of waiting for it to hit me this week instead. I'lll find out later anyhow - fingers crossed

calzone · 05/12/2017 16:39

I had a maintain last night......

Want to stay on plan and have a 3lb loss next week.

OwlinaTree · 05/12/2017 19:27

Sts for me, after a big weekend I'm alright with that. Should be good for a loss this week, I've got no big plans.

Groovee · 05/12/2017 22:02

I lost 1.5lb. I've lost 5st since June 2016 and 4st 3lb since January!

The first photo appeared on my Facebook Memories this morning!

Hi, I've just joined. Been doing SW on and off for a few years now. Disheartened as recent run of gains, except last two weeks lost 4.5. Difficulty staying motivated.

calzone · 06/12/2017 09:27

Amazing change Groovee......

It’s hard staying motivated especially at this time of year Heckers.

Not sure what to say really as I’m the same.

I’m going to stay at sw over the festive period but not hoping for losses. Weigh in is on 27th for Xmas week.

Groovee · 06/12/2017 09:43

I've really struggled since the summer Heck. But I've been determined to get to target. Should be there in the new year.
