3lb gain for me over the last week. It's annoying but expected. I've had lots of family celebrations going on that have involved a lot of party food and cake. I've got to clear weeks to get it off before the Christmas parties start. I must be honest I feel a little bit like giving up but that's what I always do this time of year and end up gaining loads in the run up to Christmas and then over Christmas itself. I need to change my mind set this year. I'm off to catch up with the rest of the thread.

DarkNightDelight · 29/11/2017 11:02

Mind if I join in? On my 3rd week, 5 and a half pounds down so far.
It's my birthday this weekend and I'm being taken away for the weekend to London (and a meal at Rules) but hoping to stay on plan as much as possible with plenty of walking, minimal drinking and lots of fruit and veg.

I miss my weigh in and can't make another class due to work so it will take all my determination but I want a loss.

DarkNightDelight · 29/11/2017 11:04

Well done Groovee! Wow you must feel amazing Star

latedecember1963 · 29/11/2017 11:31

That's brilliant, Groovee. What an achievement!🎇

Amusedbush, seeing those numbers must feel so good!

Tweetypie, I know the aim is to keep losing but would it be helpful to you to focus on staying the same between now and the new year? That way you don't feel as though you have lost ground, but it takes the pressure off you at a time of peak social events and you won't be following what you say is your usual pattern of gaining loads over Christmas.

UnwiseOldElf · 29/11/2017 12:49

Well done @Groovee, @OwnlinaTree and @Amused. The measurements thing is brilliantly motivating. I do mine in cm so they look even more dramatic (and can't depress me like inches can as they don't seem "real").

4lb off for me - 2st 6.5lb off (so close to the next sticker! so close!)

Next week will likely be a STS or gain - visiting my cousin (who very vocally objects to weight loss on principle because she has "never" had to watch her weight and "it's simply common sense - just eat what your body needs") and is a feeder Hmm - and then probably (I say "probably" because I'm peri so I've no idea one way or the other) "star week" ...

but I hope before Christmas I should get my 2.5 stone award Grin.

Petaldrops · 29/11/2017 14:11

Down 1 1/2 lbs this week so delighted.

Petaldrops · 29/11/2017 14:12

Well done @UnwiseOldElf

Groovee · 29/11/2017 16:54

FitbitAddict · 29/11/2017 18:19

Well done owlina amusedbush petaldrops owlee and elf. On my phone so cba to bold you all, sorry!

Small loss for me this week of 500g but it's still a loss. That's the impact of my Saturday blowout that it took until today to recover from according to the scales.

Tweetypie30 · 30/11/2017 07:21

Well done everyone. Some great results. Especially for you Groove, I know you've been hovering around the 4 stone award for a little while. You're all very inspiring.

Latedecember. I think that's really good advice, thankyou. I think that's what I'm going to aim to do. Maintain the little that I have lost and really go for it in the new year.

amusedbush · 30/11/2017 09:13

God, my body is winding me right up at the moment. The scales have gone up and up since weigh in (I've always been a daily weigher) and not only that but I'm sooo bloated and flubbery, I look like a waterbed.

I took a chance yesterday on my lunch break and tried on a pair of size 12 skinny jeans in Topshop, which fitted perfectly. I got home after the gym at 8pm, tried the jeans on to show DH and I could barely button them. In fact, they didn't fit in any way, shape or form. I looked like link sausages.

Even DH gently asked me if I'd had a binge because my stomach had gone from relatively flat to sticking out under my bra like a reverse turtle shell! Blush

I bloody haven't though and that's what's annoying me! I've been perfect food-wise and I've been to the gym as normal but I look a stone heavier Confused

Flutterby81 · 01/12/2017 09:06

Morning everyone haven’t been on here for a while had a quick skim through well done to all those who have lost.
Sts today from when I weighed couple weeks ago and today is the start of just weighing on 1st of each month so hopefully I can see the slightly bigger picture rather Han weekly Smile
Fakeaway Nando’s for dinner tonight Grin

Groovee · 01/12/2017 14:04

@amusedbush I often look pregnant after some meals. It's a pain.

Lottbarn · 01/12/2017 14:10

Can I join? I had my second weigh in today, got my 1/2 stone award- 5 1/2lbs last week and 1 1/2lbs this week. Was hoping for a little more this week.. aiming for 2lbs next week!

thisgirlrides · 01/12/2017 17:17

Well done @Lottbarn - it often slows after an initial big loss but don't despair, you're still losing Grin

Awful 2 days mid-week with pre-menstrual munchies plus a meal with drinks out when I so blew all and some the syns I was meant to be saving for a big Saturday night do ShockBlush
I'm sure I've blown my chances of a loss but sticking to plan otherwise and done a couple of 10km runs so would be happy to maintain on Monday weigh-in.

Looking forward to dinner tonight: sw chips with Tesco's lightly battered cod (5syns), Baked beans & peas then Greek yogurt & berries for later.

Groovee · 01/12/2017 20:23

I'm away tomorrow night with friends for our Christmas night away. Afternoon Tea, party dinner and breakfast.

Doubt I'll keep the 4st award this week 🤪
