Hi

I joined last week. First time I have done SW. Anyone want to join me?

I weighed in (Tue) at 11 st 12.5lb (5'7" tall). I set my target for 1 stone, but would really like to get back down to 10 stone. Not sure this is doable before Christmas.

I started a new job 2 years a go and have put on 2 stone.

I am amazed how much free food their is. I don't think I have eaten so much fruit, veg or eggs in years!

Today I have had:

Breakfast: Branflakes and milk
Mid morning: A banana and 6 strawberies
Lunch: Rocket, sweet potato and feta salad with an ostrich steak (2 for £4.49 from Lidl, 157 cals and 2% fat), fat free yoghurt.

(Never had an ostrich steak before, it was delicious. It was in a Moroccan marinade)

Will probably have an omelette for tea.

Well done old owl and good luck for this week Christmasunicorn.

Good luck for your wi filo I'm going it at home alone this tune but when I went to group in summer I stayed for meeting didn't find it that helpful tbh but think that was just that group as have heard some are good. Regarding breakfast I always waited until I came back from meeting but was usually starving by then I'd say if you have it today may show a little on wi but if you then have it every week before you go it won't affect wi as you will have always eaten before you go if that makes sense.

FiloPasty · 04/10/2017 09:43

3.5lb down. Have just bought a recipe book too, just need to keep going!

Raisedbyguineapigs · 05/10/2017 16:34

I have had a really stressful week, which is not really any excuse for stuffing my face at every oppotunity, but hey, thats what I did. i have my weigh in this evening. I have done sp days yesterday and today and have been really restrictive on the carbs to try and pull it back. I havent drunk enough water, but if I maintain, ill be very pleased.

FiloPasty · 05/10/2017 16:58

Good luck Guinea pigs x

With a weekend away and a wedding this week a loss is unlikely. I was so good and didn't drink but did have a slice of cake + 3 course meal + fajitas in the evening. It was soooo good. Back to full plan now. Will be disappointed if I put on just for 2 days when although I ate too much I still made far better choices than I would have previously.

BiscuitsWithEverythingPlease · 05/10/2017 23:01

My first weigh in and I've lost 6lb! I'm absolutely delighted. Feeling motivated to really do it this time and was reading an article in a SW magazine at class, one of the true life stories about a lady same height and weight as me who got to 10stone something and she looked bloody amazing. One day, that will be me!

m0therofdragons · 05/10/2017 23:18

Well done @BiscuitsWithEverythingPlease
I put on 1/2 a pound but after the weekend and I'm on my period I'm not too unhappy. Will aim for a better result next week! Only need 1lb to get my 1/2 stone off.

Riversleep · 05/10/2017 23:23

I maintained so I'm very pleasedSmile Should be a less stressful week too as the major stress causing problem seems to be being sorted.

Milliemommaof2 · 06/10/2017 06:58

Well done guys that's fab, iv followed the plan this week and I'm feeling good. Iv not been having my full syns - think it must be reverse psychology, if you tell yourself you can't have it then you want it but when you can you don't fancy it ConfusedGrin

FiloPasty · 06/10/2017 09:08

Well done biscuits! I feel I'm really in the right frame of mind this time.
Mother of dragons I was on my period last week 1st full week and I felt so bloated, I'm hoping for another good week.
Riversleep, have you tried the headspace app for stress, I keep getting it recommended but not tried it yet.
Millie I bought the syn free cookbook in class, my only syns so far this week have been a spoon of honey and a handful of cooking chocolate chips!
I think I might buy the sachet hot chocolates.
I was (am) a huge drinker of wine, but seeing how many calories are in a large red I've stopped drinking at the moment. I just feel so determined to lose 1 stone by Xmas :)

Flutterby81 · 08/10/2017 07:54

Well done great losses and fantastic first wi biscuits!
Iv give off plan again dreading wi tomorow I seem to have a good week followed by terrible week then you'd week terrible week Hmm don't no why I do it back on it today and if I can't stick to it every week in going to admit defeat and try and go back to class but now my work hours have changed its impossible to go to same class every week.

m0therofdragons · 08/10/2017 16:40

Was totally off plan yesterday as we had friends over for dinner, have 4 courses including cheese and so much wine. On the plus side I've barely eaten today as I'm so hung over! 😳😴 I have until Thursday to fix the damage. Also have a new target as first motivation was a wedding but that's happened. Now I've been nominated for an award at work so have a lovely ball to go to next month so I have a target! 6 more weigh ins so if I can lose 2lb a week that'll get me very close to target!

FiloPasty · 08/10/2017 22:13

When is everyone weighing in? I'm Wednesday morning, I quite like that it's mid week, as if I have a bad weekend there is always Mon & Tues which are easier to be good.

Oldowl · 08/10/2017 22:45

Tues evening for me.

We have had friends staying for the weekend and two meals out. Have tried to be good (foodwise) and took them on a long walk this afternoon!

Hope you don't mind me joining. Went back to SW after a six month break and first WI is Thursday evening.

Lost a stone earlier this year and then stopped going to meetings, and slowly put most of it back on. Starting again at a weight of 11st 1.5lb. I'm 5'6" and have set myself a target of 9st 7lb with an ultimate dream target of 9st.

Stress and emotional eating are my two biggest triggers. But thankfully(?) have a cold this week so have no taste for anything sweet. Have spent my syns on things like bread and butter.

FiloPasty · 09/10/2017 17:00

I'll def try that Flutter.
Welcome Jack of All & TieGrr
TieGrr I'm also 5,6 and dream weight is 9st I've also set 9,7 as my goal but with aim to lose a stone by Xmas. I weighed in at 11st,5 last week. Let's do this!

TieGrr · 09/10/2017 17:08

Filo A stone by Christmas would be fantastic. Let's go for it.

oneleftinthenest · 09/10/2017 23:15

Can I join in , I've done two weigh ins so far , 1st 14st my starting weight & 2nd 13.12 I am 5ft 3 so have a lot to lose , I want to lose a stone by 04/12 , so down 2lb so far,good luck everyone

ClickHip · 10/10/2017 00:20

Can I join as well? I've been lurking for long enough...well done everyone anyway. Ive been following your journeys. Smile

oneleftinthenest, I'm 5ft 2. I joined at 13st 6 and am now on week 22. I've lost 2st 5lbs which im delighted about but getting a bit stalled now. Need to keep going. I've a 10st initial target but I really wanted 9st 7lbs but dare not even dream that as it seemed too much to achieve. When I'm being optimistic I think I could do it, but looking for a bit of encouragement and inspiration I guess.
