Hi

I joined last week. First time I have done SW. Anyone want to join me?

I weighed in (Tue) at 11 st 12.5lb (5'7" tall). I set my target for 1 stone, but would really like to get back down to 10 stone. Not sure this is doable before Christmas.

I started a new job 2 years a go and have put on 2 stone.

I am amazed how much free food their is. I don't think I have eaten so much fruit, veg or eggs in years!

Today I have had:

Breakfast: Branflakes and milk
Mid morning: A banana and 6 strawberies
Lunch: Rocket, sweet potato and feta salad with an ostrich steak (2 for £4.49 from Lidl, 157 cals and 2% fat), fat free yoghurt.

(Never had an ostrich steak before, it was delicious. It was in a Moroccan marinade)

Will probably have an omelette for tea.

Write everything down that passes your lips. I had a couple of weeks where I stuck rigidly to plan and only lost half a pound. Earlier this week I had gained a pound by sticking to plan. I had a 'eat next to nothing day' (see a post yesterday) and it has definitely given my weight loss a kick start. I 'lost' 2.5lb overnight and was a further half pound down this morning.

Don't lose heart. Think about SW as a long term plan not a quick fix. I have lost a stone in 8 weeks but had two weeks where I only lost half a pound, yet I did not eat a biscuit, a single crisp, a sip of wine etc on those weeks!

I think I will have to. I always start the week with good intentions! I'm going to batch cook loads of soup for lunch. I made a lovely fish pie for dinner, put a pack of frozen veggies on the side with carrots and sweetcorn in, then realised they arent speed!

PlaymobilPirate · 04/11/2017 09:06

FINALLY got my stone award - 3lb off this week. The thing is, I know that if I drink plenty water then I lose weight - but I rarely drink enough!

TieGrr · 04/11/2017 09:48

Well done!

Raisedbyguineapigs · 04/11/2017 11:26

Well done!

FiloPasty · 04/11/2017 12:47

Well done Playmobil! I’ve got a kids birthday party today, pizza and cake! Going to have to have two very low syn days on Monday and Tuesday!

FiloPasty · 05/11/2017 21:27

Iv has a terrible weekend food wise and really fallen off the wagon so to speak, I think after a few good weeks I’ve stopped counting syns etc.
going to be really good on Monday and Tuesday as I have weigh in on Wednesday, fingers crossed I can allay some of the damage :(

PlaymobilPirate · 06/11/2017 08:18

It's just 1 weekend Filo. I've been a bit lax lately- are you able to stay to group?

Raisedbyguineapigs · 06/11/2017 08:27

I did that. I was still losing weight not really counting syns that strictly now its come back to bite me on the bum!

FiloPasty · 06/11/2017 09:24

Yes now we’re out of half term I’ll stay to group, I think I’ve been really positive and doing well as I’ve had time to plan my meals etc, now I’m ramping into the busiest time of year work wise for me. I just need to be more organized.

PlaymobilPirate · 06/11/2017 17:45

I'm much better when I'm busy at work Filo - as long as I prep!

FiloPasty · 07/11/2017 20:05

That’s what I meant time poor and forgetting to prep.
I have weigh in tomorrow, I’ve been pretty good the last two days so I hopefully won’t see a gain on the scales. Fingers crossed, I rejoined the gym last week but still haven’t been :(

FiloPasty · 08/11/2017 11:48

Surprised to have lost 1.5lb and I’m back in the healthy BMI bracket, I’d still really like to lose another stone and a half.
I just tried a mug shot for the first time, reminds me of my student days!

Oldowl · 10/11/2017 17:51

Chickhip: I made the Linda Macartney sausage scotch eggs yesterday, they were lovely and very filling.

Making a chick pea and sweet potato curry the mo. Hopefully it will warm me up... freezing here!

I’ve totally fallen off the wagon and back to old bad habits, I’m 2lb up since Wednesday. Have a busy day too, but need to get back on track!

FudgeyCookie · 12/11/2017 10:07

Can i join please? I did join in september lol.

Been a bit up and down. 10lb lost all together, including a 2 week holiday where we had a few nights in a travelodge so it was literally eat as healthy as i could without cooking it myself.

Am about to return to work after maternity leave but would love to need a smaller uniform!

Raisedbyguineapigs · 12/11/2017 10:15

I made a cake for my dad's birthday, it was a bit of a disaster but instead of chucking it away, I are a ton of it Blush and then ate loads of sweets for no good reason at all. I'm so annoyed with myself. I didn't eat any of the second cake attempt at least. I'm going to have to do sp until Thursday. I'm irritated that I put all my good work to waste for some sunken in the middle cake!

FiloPasty · 14/11/2017 09:11

I’m craving cake now. I drew a line under the weekends bad eating/boozing. Hopefully by Wednesday morning I’ll have done some damage repair and hopefully maintained.

Raisedbyguineapigs · 14/11/2017 18:20

Sorry. I'll stop saying c* Grin

FiloPasty · 14/11/2017 19:18

I’ve eaten some of the kids chocolates today but not had any bread or potatoes, made homemade baked beans they’re gorgeous!

Oldowl · 14/11/2017 20:38

Welcome Fudgie.

Bad week for me. 2.5lb on. I reckon this is a combination of hitting target then thinking a handful of nachos, 3 minstrels and a few chips from the chip shop (nicked off the children's plates) are syn-free now I am a target member... and going to an evening weigh-in rather than a 9am one.

Must do better! Come on ladies, help me get back on track.
x

FiloPasty · 14/11/2017 21:32

I wouldn’t go to an evening meeting I’m def at least 2lb heavier at night!
You’re definitely allowed a few minstrels and some chips now you’ve hit target! Life is for living I think 80% good 20% Bad
Bet you’ll have a loss next week x

PlaymobilPirate · 16/11/2017 07:53

Morning everyone 😁

owl if you're at target it's a good thing to go up and down within it I think. Filo is right - don't be too hard on yourself.

I'm not looking forward to weighing tomorrow... we've had a busy week (house nearing being finished so lots done, Dps birthday etc. We got a takeaway last night (Indian- I had chicken tikka meat and plain rice with salad so not too bad)

I've left my lunch and purse at home though so it'll be ryvita and fruit for me all day as that's all I have!

FiloPasty · 16/11/2017 11:54

I’d had prosecco and a Chinese at the weekend and still managed to lose 1/2lb this week, 11.5lb down :) had some nice comments, people have noticed the weight loss :)

Raisedbyguineapigs · 16/11/2017 21:45

I lost 3 1/2lb this week! Im delighted! I did some SP days so now Im within touching distance of my 1 stone! Its funny its taken me 3 months when some people turn up and have lost 1 stone in 3 weeks! I suppose slow and steady is fine!
