Oh no Calzone! Now come on, must I get the stick? You've done so well getting to target, you were a huge inspiration to me when I started back in April.

What are you struggling with?

LavenderRains · 13/11/2016 19:04

Happy birthday Alemonypea
Think I've been doing ok. Had chicken and mushroom from the Chinese takeaway last night. Was 9 syns but was lovely.
todays menu:
B cup of tea
D roast pork, loads of veg, sw roast potatoes
T beans on toast with grated cheese (hexa&b)
Syns; gravy, stuffing, mini meringue. Maybe curly wurly later.

Buttwing · 13/11/2016 19:42

Come on calzone you can do it!

When I was struggling another member suggested making meals that didn't feel diet-y so things like sausage and mash, something and chips lots of pasta and rice. I tried it and it really helped me get back on track and only needed to do it for a few days and I felt a bit more in control. I got back on plan without feeling too deprived.

emwithme · 13/11/2016 21:02

Took some measurements today - since re-starting SW in June 2015, I have lost:

8 inches from my hips
6 inches from my waist
9 inches from my underbust

I've gone from bursting out of a size 18, having to have an extender on my 38" bras (should really have bought new, but they would've been a 42 and I wasn't having that!) to fitting into a size 12 bottom and a 34 bra band.

The pictures are:

Me at my heaviest in summer 2008
Me last September (midway between the two)

Hapay birthday Lemony Flowers for you.

Calzone you can do this. Have a good day tomorrow. Put a line under everything and move on.

Today's plan

B. Coffee
L. Coffee. Declined a McDonald's for coffee!
T. Jacket spud and bolognaise sauce with salad.

Did have a tarte tatin for pudding but am not looking at syns because I needed it. No gin tonight though and I really wanted that but wanted pudding more.

Life is pretty emotional right now and it would be so easy to say fuck it. But if I do it will be December before I know it and then I will be off plan until January.

Am aiming to stay on plan until 22nd December when the ocado delivery is booked for. Then I am having whatever the fucking I want for 10 days.

ALemonyPea · 13/11/2016 21:07

Amazing Em, absolutely amazing! You've done so so well. You just be feeling pretty chuffed with yourself.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, I've been so boring and stayed on plan. Had every intention to buy a huge Black Forest gateau and eating a large slice, but after Tuesdays silly 1lb loss, I decided against it and had half a tub of fro yo instead. Such a party animal.

Buttwing · 13/11/2016 22:28

Holy crap em you look like a different person!! Well done what an achievement you must be so pleased!!
Lemony happy birthdayFlowers I'm sorry I meant to add it on my earlier post!

I'm going to do two sp days as I've not been 100% on plan this weekend. I really want a decent loss this week so sp it is!

OctopusArmEnvy · 14/11/2016 09:42

Hi everyone - would you mind if I joined you? I'm joining my local group on Thursday but I am going to try and get going today...
I have about 3 stone to lose in total but will be happy with half by Christmas tbh!! Xx

mumandsum · 14/11/2016 11:12

Morning octopus.
I'm a Newby too. I've been doing SW for 1 week. I've never done it before and I'm doing it online only. This chat has already been super helpful. Online isn't very good for support tbh.

I nominated Friday as my weigh in day. I weighed in on Friday and had lost 5lb. I was really happy with that! I haven't had the best weekend though. I am tempted to weigh again today.

I was out Friday night and Saturday night eating and drinking. Managed to stay off of the wine (no small feat for me!!)
I made a new drink using a whole watermelon and vodka in the blender - speed + vodka!!
Left all cheese that was on my plate, no deserts, no birthday cake and no bread (apart from hexb) made my first SW roast dinner yesterday (2 syns for gravy) chicken (no skin), roast - potatoes, carrots and parsnips, kale and broccoli. Finished on 15 syns yesterday - I was a bit annoyed at myself for finishing on 15 seeing as I had eaten out Friday + Saturday but then again a normal Sunday for me would have been lots of naughty food + glass of wine with roast dinner (that would have been a lot less healthy than the one I had) plus a dessert (probably sticky toffee pudding + ice cream, which is what my kids had)
It actually helped that I looked up the syns value of the desert so that I could see what I would normally have eaten. In fact that is what I was thinking all weekend.

So the question is should I weigh myself to see if I ruined my 5lb loss from from Friday? I would love to hear your thoughts. Xx

Buttwing · 14/11/2016 11:40

Morning all sp day for me today

B-raspberries and strawberries and a hifi
L-chicken salad and melon
D- sw burger with salad and butternut squash chips

Mum new drink sounds yum, might me better to stick to a diet mixer though as blended fruit has to be synned. As a one off I'm sure it would be fine though.

Buttwing · 14/11/2016 11:42

And no don't weigh yourself if you've put on you will feel down and eat, if you haven't it might make you carrying on eating badly as you've got away with it. That's what happens to me anyway!
Welcome octopus Smile

iklboo · 14/11/2016 12:40

Morning. Had a bad Saturday. We were ambushed by a bottle of red wine out of nowhere! Then DH ordered Dominos while I was on the loo. Back on plan yesterday though. Today:

Brunch - big bowl of mixed berries, fat free yoghurt
Tea - tuna, quinoa, stir fry & asparagus
Supper - cheese (HEXA) & mushroom toastie (HEXB)

Syns - onion chutney with toastie, milk in drinks, sea salt chocolate square, Nude popcorn (11 total)

Groovester · 14/11/2016 13:37

Hi all. Belated birthday wishes to you Lemony. Em - you have inspired me - You look fabulous.
Here is my silly question for today...
I had been saving hex a and b for the evening (toast with dairylea light) instead of incorporating them into my meals. Will this affect my loss as I feel Like I'm having an extra meal. The rest of my meals are predominantly free and I've been keeping syns very low. Any thoughts?
Today's menu:
B - fruit salad plus 1/2 grapefruit.
L - omelette and a satsuma. Today I've opted to bring hex a and b forward so had 2 mg ryvita and dairylea light with my omelette.
D - turkey bacon and tomato sauce with pasta.

LavenderRains · 14/11/2016 13:53

Em that's an amazing transformation. You inspire us allStar
groovester I often do that with my hex's. if I'm at work for 12 hours I look forward to brown toast and cheese when I get in. Doesn't seem to have done me any harm.
todays plan:
B tea
D beans on toast with cheese (hexa&b)
T lean mince and lots of veg. Strawberries.
probably a few sins tonight (curly wurly)

OwlinaTree · 14/11/2016 13:56

Wow em you can really see a difference. What an inspiration.

Buttwing · 14/11/2016 15:58

Groovster that's fine to do that I often save my heb for the evening. I'm a chocolate fiend so I always have two hifi bars.

mumandsum · 14/11/2016 16:09

Butt - thanks for that. I didnt weigh.
I didn't realise I had to count blended fruit as syns!! Sad now I feel even worse!!
Oh well moving on - knowledge is power!!
Hhhmmmm!!
B- tea + plum (hexa milk!)
L- eggy bread (hexb) beans tomato bacon
D - haddock, veg and cauliflower rice.
Don't know about syns yet.

Groovester · 14/11/2016 18:12

Thanks Lavender and Butt(!)

That makes me feel more confident. I'm still only a week 2 newbie. I must say I'm feeling mentally great and physically, definitely less sluggish and bloated. Also, I'm never hungry which is a new experience. I can be a big binge-y comfort eater at times.

LavenderRains · 14/11/2016 18:13

Hi can someone remind me about sp days please?

What is not allowed? Can't seem to get the gist of itConfused
thanks

Scorbus · 14/11/2016 18:16

Em you look amazing!

I've definitely lost this week but that's due to norovirus (perk of being a teacher boak).

Need to get eating again but at the moment I'm finding myself eating things easy to bring back up (old hyperemesis habit) rather than being on plan.

mumandsum · 14/11/2016 18:47

Hi Lavender -
I have been looking at SP lately. I think it is where you have 1 hex a 2 hex b and then no cards in potatoes, pasta, rice ect. You stick to ask foods on S & P lists - syns are the same.

Buttwing · 14/11/2016 19:26

That's about it mum! The thing I find the hardest is that a lot of fruit doesn't have an s next to it so mango, bananas, pineapple, grapes and some others aren't allowed. I snack a lot on those things so I find that a bit tricky. I didn't fancy a burger or salad tonight so I've just been and bought fancy stir fry ingredients and some boodles to make so feel a bit better!

Buttwing · 14/11/2016 19:28

Oh and mum don't worry about a one off, it's just smoothies everyday that probably wouldn't help your weghtloss!

ALemonyPea · 14/11/2016 20:10

Has anyone tried sausages called porky lights? Tried them tonight, they're delicious, 0.5 syns a sausage.

LavenderRains · 14/11/2016 20:46

Thanks for the SP info. So, I can have;
All S fruits and veg,
Things with a P,
Still have 15 syns,
1 hex A
2 hex B
That right??
