Notreallyhappy, I like a glass of red wine: 27 syns in a bottle, and I wouldn't choose to spend too many syns on it, not least because DH is teetotal, so it's not the same without someone to share it with.
But if you do choose to spend syns on 2 to 3 bottles a week, you could still have a few syns for other things each day, as you are allowed 105 syns per week.

milkshakeandmonstermunch · 10/11/2016 16:35

I signed up on Tuesday. I developed a pretty bad chocolate habit when I was pregnant so I'm finding that bit tough. I'm having a hi-fi bar in the evening instead. I want a 200g bar of galaxy so badly! I'm hoping that the craving will go after a week or two.

milkshakeandmonstermunch · 10/11/2016 16:40

Ps

B - weetabix and milk (HEA & HEB)
L - quorn and veg pasta made with quark
D - planning on veggie cous cous with feta mixed through and salad

Saving my hi-fi bar and hot choc (will syn the powder) for tonight. I'm supposed to eat 5 HEs a day as breastfeeding a newborn.

iklboo · 10/11/2016 16:47

Today:

Breakfast - melon, mixed berries & ham
Lunch - mushrooms on toast
Tea - roast chicken breast, rice, mushrooms, onions, peppers & peas with Mayflower curry sauce (1 syn as I don't have much)
Supper - peeled prawns, then bowl of mixed berries & fat free yoghurt

Syns - through the day:

Graze banana loaf - 3 syns
Mini curly wurly - 3.5 syns
Nude popcorn - 2.5 syns

I am peeing myself inside out & farting like it's an Olympic event Blush

iklboo · 10/11/2016 16:47

Sorry - HEXA is milk in cups of tea

Frouby · 10/11/2016 16:54

Wow well done Em! You are an inspiration to us all. May we see your before and after pictures again? I get inspired by them. Plus we need an at target photo too!

Been a funny day. Dp off as no materials at work. And ds been off nursery as he had a lovely 39.6 temperature last night. He is OK now though. Just a bit grumpier than usual.

Today's plan

B. Coffee
L. Hm veg soup with a smidgen of mature cheddar grated on to it. Made it very luxurious!
T. Not sure. Dp wants a takeaway, probably Chinese. Dd wants taco bell which is across the road. Ds wants fingers and chips. I want something low syn.

Sigh. I have some bolognaise in the freezer I might have that with some spinich or vegetables instead of pasta.

Hate mid week takeaways.

ALemonyPea · 10/11/2016 17:47

Amazing, well done Em! Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉

Well done to all the losers.

I fitted into size 14 jeans today, absolutely buzzing.

Buttwing · 10/11/2016 18:37

Wow em congratulations that's such an amazing achievement!!!

I lost 1.5lbs at weigh in on weds so I'm pleased about that. I went out for steak and chips and a glass of wine last night but was super good in the day and have been very good today.

My consultant was telling us that the syn values of red wine have changed and to check them out apparently some are as high as 37 syns!! I'm not much of a drinker chocolate is my poison!

B- coffee
L-baked potato with beans and salad
D-chicken madras and rice

What speed do you put with a curry? I can't face cauliflower rice and can't really think of anything that will go! Maybe I could put some spinach in the curry, do you measure spinach cooked or raw? A whole bag disappears to nothing when you cook it.

Buttwing · 10/11/2016 18:38

Sorry lemony, well done on the nsv!!! You will have disappeared by XmasGrin

ohmygodyouguys · 10/11/2016 19:41

1lb gain tonight. Bit gutted, don't know where that's come from. My work were giving out free pies and sweets this week and I turned the lot down.

ALemonyPea · 10/11/2016 19:41

Thanks. Considering I was a size 22 in April, I've done pretty bloody good I think. Don't think my dress size will change before Christmas, but an excellent incentive for the January sales.

LavenderRains · 10/11/2016 21:09

Bloody Nora lemony that's amazing. I'm a 22 but after losing 18lb I can't get into a few pairs of size 18 trousers. My work uniform now has a bit of breathing spaceGrin
plan today was;
B cup of tea
D courgette and mushroom omelette and jacket potato
T chicken and rice
Syns; butter on potato
Curly wirly
Mini meringue
No HEX as had 2 lots yesterday!

mumandsum · 10/11/2016 21:13

Well done em!! You are an inspiration!! Please could I see some photos?

Groovester - I feel the same!! I started on Monday - online only! So no group. I can't gave the group thing. This is my only support!! I have found the online pretty awful actually!!

Thank you ladies!!!
Could you tell me what quark is please? And mayflower curry powder?

Groovester · 10/11/2016 21:21

Hi ladies, first weigh in tonight and I have lost (drumroll please...) 7.5lbs. I'm over the moon. I'm still a big fat fatty though so a long road ahead.

mumandsum · 10/11/2016 21:33

OMG groovester!!! That is amazing'!!!

mumandsum · 10/11/2016 21:48

Help please!!!!
I am going to a 50th birthday on Saturday night and I have already ordered my food.
I am going to do my best to leave as much naughty food as I can. My problem is what to drink? I am going to try to stay away from wine. Any one have any suggestions?

Vodka is my spirit of choice. Usually vodka and diet coke. I'm looking for something nicer to drink with food. X

LavenderRains · 10/11/2016 23:00

Well done groovesterStar that's the same loss as I had in my first week. Feels good doesn't it? Definitely gives you the boost to carry on.
I've not lost that much since, but had 4 then 3 then 4lb losses so I'm quite happy.

Groovester · 11/11/2016 06:42

Thanks. It will certainly keep me motivated this week!

FaithAscending · 11/11/2016 07:57

Brilliant start Groovester!

mum its tricky, isn't it? Gin and slim line tonic? Or you could have wine spritzer with soda water?

emwithme · 11/11/2016 09:22

OMG. I have worked out that I've lost the weight of an average 8 year old girl in the past 73 weeks, and that overall, I have lost the weight of 13-year-old-me. I am now imagining me giving 13-year-old-me a piggyback all day every day and I really don't like the thought of that. My most recent photo is from over a stone ago (!) so I'll get DH to take a couple this weekend once I've had my eyebrows done and my top lip removed so I don't look like a fuzzy 14 year old boy

Welcome newbies and well done losers! Lemony that's excellent re the size 14s.

Butt I put a fuckload of speedy veg in the curry (I know it's not "fashionable" but fuck it, it bulks it out) - carrots, baby corn, mange-tout/sugar snap peas, plus of course onions, peppers, tomato, and spinach, and serve it on either baby button mushrooms (quartered and fried in garlic frylight) or roasted whole flat mushrooms (spritz with frylight and then pop in oven for 10 minutes) if I'm having an SP day. I'd put chickpeas in too (they are a "P") but DH doesn't like them too much so sometimes I leave them out.

tabulahrasa · 11/11/2016 10:14

Butt - I have things like that

www.veganricha.com/2016/06/kachumber-salad-cucumber-tomato-onion-salad-recipe.html

And
www.shutterbean.com/2008/indian-carrot-salad/

But obviously leave out any oil or anything with curries.

mumandsum · 11/11/2016 10:43

WI day today.
5lb loss. I started on Monday but i wanted my WI day to be Friday.
I am very happy with 5lb.
I have a very tricky weekend coming up though. Xx

ALemonyPea · 11/11/2016 11:02

Wow, well done on the weight losses! Amazing.

My 14 jeans are a little too big on me, I'm def not a 12, but I'll take the loose feeling for a,few weeks.

iklboo · 11/11/2016 11:06

Mayflower curry powder is a Chinese style curry. You make it up with water. 4 syns for a full portion but DH & I share - and I have less than him.

We get ours from Home Bargain, B&M, Heron Foods etc. It lasts ages.
