One poxy pound off. Feel so depressed about it. Got my 5 and a half stone award though. I've been on plan 100% so I've no idea what's wrong. Just got to ride this storm and hope it'll eventually show. Should be in the next lower stone bracket next week with a bit of luck.

mumandsum · 08/11/2016 18:02

Hi Mamma - I haven't seen any offers sorry.

Butt-
Not sure about the shake off in honest! Its messing with my head a bit. I have counted it as syns based on the nutrition label but it is very high in protein so I'm not sure. Is a very handy way for me to do breakfast. We shall see I suppose!

As for the toddlers! Well my DC1 + 2 were 18mths apart. And yes it did get easier when the eldest moved into to playing with more structure. I had DC3 when DC2 was 2.5y/o. So it got mad again for me then though!! 😂
FYI. My DC are now 19, 17 & 15 and I would go back to those back in a heart beat!! Try not to wish it away. It was physically much harder then, but mentally harder now.

Wow yes a Xmas baby would be very exciting.

FaithAscending · 08/11/2016 18:03

Lemony, it's a pound off! You have lost 5 1/2 stone!!! Some weeks are slower than others but it's in the right direction. Do you have any 'before' photos? I think you need to look back and see how far you've come.

I'm quite pleased with myself. Finished nights this morning, ate really well! Had home made soup, overnight oats and tested myself to a curly wurly each night but not stuffing junk (I used to eat a packet of biscuits over two nights!). Feeling positive for weigh in tomorrow.

LavenderRains · 08/11/2016 18:04

lemony 5 and a half stone is amazing!! And a pound is a pound.
Our leader showed us with lard what a pound of fat looked like, as lots of people were moaning about only losing a pound.
It's a huge amount when you see it in the flesh!
But I also get why you are disappointed, I would be the sameSmile
Seems like everyone is disappointed this week! At least it's a loss, and you have done so well to lose that amount.
Onwards and upwards Flowers

mumandsum · 08/11/2016 18:04

They sounds lush - lavender!
Well done anyway Al. 5.5stone is AMAZING!!

mumandsum · 08/11/2016 18:06

Great tips thanks LUSH X

LavenderRains · 08/11/2016 18:10

mum I will report back about sweeties once they've set!

faith nights are hard arnt they? I used to get through them by grazing on chocolate and biscuits. Last week I had chicken and rice, a banana and a mullet light. There were 4, yes 4 tubs of Roses in the staff room but I didn't touch them. I kept telling myself they were disgusting Grin

mumandsum · 08/11/2016 18:24

You are a hero lavender!

LavenderRains · 08/11/2016 18:42

Well, here they are! They taste lovely but the mistake I made was using a rigid ice cube tray. Silicone ones are the way to go but I didn't have any. They are so quick to make tho so I may buy silicone trays to make them easier to get out.

Lemony 5.5 stone - well done!!

Butt I can't imagine having 4!! Need to get everything planned for Xmas I just hope I don't go into labour on Xmas day as I can't imagine asking anyone to have DS in their family home that day (or even Xmas Eve) - if they're here at all. Confused

mumandsum Thanks, yes it's SPD and I have a belt - helps a bit but the baby hates it and goes crazy, also apparently I'm supposed to only wear it half the time. DH is having to do more round the house and it's not going down well!

milkshakeandmonstermunch · 08/11/2016 18:59

Place marking as signed up today. We've just had a quorn and veg spicy rice dish with salad and it was really nice. I have a 3 week old baby and have been scoffing biscuits in the night so needed a kick up the bum!

LavenderRains · 08/11/2016 19:32

orianabanana my DS was due on Xmas Eve and I was dreading it! He obliged and came on 11th which was much more civilised! He slept through Xmas that year.

PositiveAttitude · 08/11/2016 19:34

Well done to the losers. Don't be disappointed with a loss of any size, its in the right direction.

I lost 2lb this week. so pleased after last week. Grin

WhoKnows DH arrives in this country on Saturday, but I am actually flying off the Ireland on Thursday and wont be back til Sunday night, so will see him then. His response to my mega rant was "OK" - that's all I have had from him today, very frustrated!!

I have 5 DC with less than 6 years between the eldest and youngest. Shock No twins. So I sympathise with those of you rushing around after littlies, but I, too, would go back to those days. Teenagers are a nightmare!! Mine are now all coming through the other end, I hope. Youngest is 19, eldest is 25.

When I fly to Ireland on Thursday I am hoping that I fit into the plane seatbelt and don't have to use an extender. That was my goal when I joined SW in June. I have been on coaches and been fine with the seatbelt on them now, so I am hoping!

FaithAscending · 08/11/2016 19:38

Yes, definitely tough Lavender. I have struggled with headaches too, usually after my first night. I'm talking blinding headaches that don't shift even with codeine that are so bad I'm sick! Suddenly realised it's because I was having a blood sugar peak overnight then a crash by the time I woke up. This time it didn't happen. I saved my OO for about 4am and then ate when I got home and I've been fine! The sweet treats are hard to resist, well done for refusing the Roses!

milkshake I found the broken nights tough. I only gained a stone in pregnancy (which I'd lost within a couple of weeks!) but gained it back through carb addiction to get me through the sleepless nights/sleep deprived days. My best suggestion would be to have healthy/free snacks to hand to try to avoid the biscuits but I know it's tough!

Buttwing · 08/11/2016 19:43

Wow positive that's amazing! We are definitely done at four, we often joke that dc4 was sent by someone to make sure we never get tempted to have an other! Much as we love him he is quite hard work. I also have two step children who are 19 and 24 their mum died when they were young so they have spent a lot of time with me and they are like my own. I love it when they are all here especially at Xmas.
Spd is hideous I had it with dc3 if it gets really bad you can have codeine just as long as it's not all they time. I did occasionally and relief was amazing. I was sure I would get it with dc4 but was thankfully ok. I think it might have had something to do with dc3 being so big (10lb8!)

We are having a Thai take away but I'm ordering the best I can. I just can't face cooking.

ALemonyPea · 08/11/2016 20:29

Thanks everyone.

Positive, 5 under 6 😮You must have the patience of a Saint!

I have three DC, eldest is 13 and youngest is nearly 8. Nobody tells you how awful the teenage years are. How do people survive them without murdering their teens?

mumandsum · 08/11/2016 22:07

Al -
I don't think we would have believed anyone of they had told us!!

Lavender - how are the sweeties?

MollyRedskirts · 08/11/2016 22:12

SPD is a fucking nightmare. I was immobilised by it during my last pregnancy. Ended up on crutches, housebound and then using a wheelchair, then I spent my last two weeks in hospital before my section as I couldn't even lift my feet up high enough to go up one stair. I had gestational diabetes and they admitted me because I couldn't get to the toilet or cook myself food. I had a LOVELY rest for those last two weeks. I fantasise about it still. Grin

I'm having one of those 'sort of' days today. All meals have been fine, but I had a bagel with my tea instead of HEB bread, and a small flapjack I made with mashed bananas for the baby. So I will have gone over on syns, and I'm going to have an Options hot choc in a bit, but it's not too bad.

OwlinaTree · 08/11/2016 22:23

Lost 1/2 lb tonight, not too bothered as I had 3lb off last week. Going to really try this week though as only 2lb away from a stone! That was my target for Xmas, so I'll be delighted if I get it next week!

OwlinaTree · 08/11/2016 22:24

Also watching with interest to see how the sweets turn out. They certainly look good!

LavenderRains · 08/11/2016 22:37

I posted a pic of the sweeties when they first came out of the mould. I put them in a tupperware box in the fridge for a bit longer and I have to say they're lovely!
Not quite the perfect shape but they are sweet, I had 3 & it satisfied my sweet tooth.
DH & DS approved although DS said they looked like dead mice Grin
overall I'm pleased. Would be easier with silicone moulds tho.

mumandsum · 08/11/2016 22:56

Lavender -
How do you know the size? If 15 = 1 syn?
Or is it the amount of syns for all of the ingredients / the amount of sweets you end up with?
When you say silicone moulds do you mean sweet moulds?

LavenderRains · 09/11/2016 05:58

mum apparently the only syn is the sugar free jelly so if you use 2 sachets it's 2 syns. I made 30 sweets so 1 syn per 15.
You can get silicone ice cube trays which would be much easier I think.
Have a look on YouTube, the lady on there explains it better than me! Lots of other recipes on there too.

mumandsum · 09/11/2016 08:21

Lavender - thanks. That makes sense.
I bought some gummy bear moulds.

Morning all

Just had my dreaded wi after 2 weeks absence. 2lbs on. Which I was expecting if I am honest. Am putting 1lb of that down to wearing jeans and a big belt instead of harem trousers tho. But it means I can now wi in jeans and not worry about theme affecting the scales when I am expecting a loss if you know what I mean.

Have put a line under the last few weeks. It couldn't be helped. Have tried my best to stay on plan but with everything we have had going on something had to give.

Back on plan now though. Bil is awake and lucid. Well he is awake and talking. Trouble is he is coming out with massively inappropriate stuff. They aren't sure if it is brain damage he will recover from, permanent damage or the medication. It's like he doesn't have a social filter apparently. Just saying what comes into his head.

Sister says it's funny but the novelty will wear off quickly. But at least he is alive though still quite poorly. We shall see.

Today's plan is as follows.

B. Coffee
L. Hm veg soup
T. Meat and potato pie. I will only have a tiny bit of pastry and a fuck ton of vegetables. B choice will be cereal or hi fi bars.
