Well done losers! My weigh in tomorrow. 2 weeks worth as had a holiday last week.
had family for tea tonight so did a roast. I bought a lively strawberry flan but didn't eat any. Punnet of strawberries for me!
B banana
D prawns and brown bread hexB. Yogurt. Pear
T roast chicken dinner, syned gravy and
stuffing. Strawberries.

I'm really confused as to why we get constipation, surely all this fruit and veg should prevent it? I've not been too badly affected but I don't eat that many eggs and try to drink Lots of water.

Rastel38 · 01/11/2016 23:40

Well unsurprisingly I didn't win Miss Slinky but the girl who did was very impressive with a 5 stone weight loss and dramatic before pics. I feel the same as you positive - I'd be proud to do it next year when I'm at target.
Hope you won lemony.

PositiveAttitude · 02/11/2016 03:24

Well done on the loses.

Another who wasn't voted as Miss Slinky, but absolutely fine with that and our winner, who I voted for, is lovely and deserved to win it.
What I am absolutely NOT ok with is a gain of 0.5lb. Angry I just don't understand it as I have honestly not gone off plan this week. Only thing that MIGHT have affected it is that AF came on Sunday. I only have about 1 a year and incredibly light, (Mirena Coil fitted) but I didn't think that it would affect me as it is hardly a period, just a small amount of "leakage" really. But I am clinging to the fact that hopefully the hormones have added the weight anyway. Does anyone have experience, or anything of this?

Another scan-braner here. I have mine either with cheese spead and tomatoes, or made into a cake (normally use wheatbran for that). I swear that this has aided my weight loss, although it let me down this week!

LavenderRains · 02/11/2016 07:01

I can understand your frustration pa I'd be the same. It's probably hormonal and I bet you see a bigger loss next week. When I did WW many moons ago we were told that if you were 'naughty' it won't show on the scales until the following week. Don't know how true that is.
WI for me this morning then off to Ikea with a friend for breakfast.
Anyone have any idea how many syns an Ikea breakfast is??? 😕

OwlinaTree · 02/11/2016 08:25

Pa It's so annoying when you feel you've stuck to it and tried hard and don't get the scales reward. I agree with others, if you stick on it this week you will probably see a good loss next week. When I did ww, I always had a stay the same/not much loss/small gain on af due week, but was usually a better than normal loss the next week. As I said I was really struggling to be positive about it this last week as i didn't do so well, but much better this week.

Try some new recipes this week maybe to mix things up a bit? I'm trying the chicken drumsticks and chips, beans and coleslaw on the website this week.

FaithAscending · 02/11/2016 09:00

PA it's probably just water retention due to the hormone change. Try to drink plenty of water.

It's my second weigh in tonight. Fairly optimistic, although I've not eaten 'well' the last 3 days due to a virus I hadn't gone mad with the carbs so pretty much within my Syn allowance.

Buttwing · 02/11/2016 11:50

Well done all the losers!!

I had a bad week which resulted in a 2lb gain. It was totally deserved but has given me the kick up the backside I needed to get cracking again.

So I'm meal planning and it's looking a bit meh, can I ask what everyone's favourite slimming world meal is? I don't like cheese/quark but eat everything else! that's the problem

ALemonyPea · 02/11/2016 12:08

Agree with everyone else Positive, it'll be water retention, good loss for you next week hopefully.

Well done getting back on the wagon Butt, good luck.

Still all bloated and blocked up. Have had 4 of my scan bran carrot muffins, they're bloody difficult to eat, but hopefully they'll start doing there thing.

Now wearing size 14 leggings, good NSV. A funny NSV, DH managed to pick me up and put me over his shoulder at the weekend. He was amazed at how light I felt.

OwlinaTree · 02/11/2016 13:09

I've done the Thai green chicken curry and the mixed seafood kedgeree on the website. I didn't do the shellfish in the kedgeree, but it was lovely. Both froze well too.

Frouby · 02/11/2016 13:50

Hello all

Plodding on here.

PA probably water retention.

Had one of those Chinese style curries last night. Mayflower is it? Was bloody lovely!

Today's plan

B. Coffee
L. Jacket potato cheese and beans
T. Omelette and salad

LavenderRains · 02/11/2016 15:05

WI this morning. Didn't go last week so 7lb off this week which makes 1stone 4 since 5 Oct. I'm quite chuffed! Also got slimmer of the week.
Went to ikea with a friend after WI and had a breakfast. Probably loads of syns but can't find out anywhere so will have to draw a line under it!

dannyglick · 02/11/2016 15:22

Lavender, the Ikea breakfast is not on the SW syns online, but the Morrisons Cafe Big Breakfast is listed as 35 syns: I don't know how the two compare, but it could be a figure to count and keep control.

Buttwing · 02/11/2016 16:51

Thanks owlina I quite fancy the Thai curry will have a look when the kids in bed.

I've made Gino D'campo's braised lentils today they are quite nice and a peri peri chicken tray bake thing for dinner later.

I took the dog out earlier as it was such a gorgeous day here. She gave me a funny look as if to say "you? Taking me out? You never take me out!" Dp usually does it so I think she was confused bless her!!

littlepooch · 02/11/2016 16:57

Hello all.

I am in awe of those of you nominated to be miss slinky and it's real inspiration for newbies like me.

I am still enjoying the plan, I've made a few recipes from this months magazine which have all been delicious. I went out for a run today, for the first time in over a year (since ttc DD) so I am really pleased with myself. Was hard going but I felt so good after. Definitely going to try and keep it up.

LavenderRains · 02/11/2016 17:56

Thanks danny 35 is a lot! Ikea breakfast had 2 bacon,2sausage,beans, omelette and 2 hash browns. No syns for me for 2 days!

dannyglick · 02/11/2016 18:00

Lavender, you could just keep your syns at around 5 a day for a couple of days.
Anyway, you had a nice breakfast out with your friend.

LavenderRains · 02/11/2016 18:52

Yes danny I'm not going to worry about it. It filled me up anyway. I've not eaten anything else yet!

ALemonyPea · 02/11/2016 19:26

Lavender, I'd syn the breakfast as this:

Bacon, if fat kept on, 2 syns each, then 2 syns for oil if not grilled
Sausage, 4.5 each, then 2 syns for oil if not grilled
Omelette, allow 2 syns for oil
Hash browns, 4.5 each (as that's what McDonalds are and they're about the same size)
Beans are free

So I'd say you've had 28 syns, which isn't as bad

LavenderRains · 02/11/2016 20:21

Thanks lemony I appreciate your workings out! I will go with thatSmile

emwithme · 02/11/2016 21:21

Well done losers and Butt have a swift boot up the bum.

Lemony you beat me to it...that's about what I'd syn too

Positive you still get the annoying other fluctuations in both hormones and associated stuff (weight/mood/odd poos) if you are on Mirena or similar, particularly if you're having a bit of breakthrough bleeding.

I am not hopeful for tomorrow, either for weight loss (due to horrendous period) or for Miss Slinky (although I managed to get the stupid photo booths at Asda to work so have printed out some fat photos...some from this time last year where I cannot believe how chubby my face looks). I can tell I don't feel hopeful about a loss because I've just shaved my legs Grin as if that will make a difference (although it does look like I've shaved a bear in the bath at the moment I'll clean it up soon, honest ). I do feel slinky generally, though. I have never felt slinky before...when I lay in bed at night I can feel my hip bones (and keep getting DH to feel them, I think he would get sick of it if it didn't lead to other stuff Blush ). I just need to stop buying clothes...except for the fact that I need a winter coat because the one I'd kept because I grew out of it is now far too big and looks stupid. I've worn it about three times.

I wanted to share with you all that yesterday I went to London and have my first cuddles with my newest grandson. He is 11 weeks old today and is adorable. Now weighing 4lb and doing quite well. Well, actually, I think he is doing amazing seen as we were told not to expect him to survive on more than 3 occasions. There is going to be some disability, but at the moment he is doing well and we will have to cope with that as it appears in the coming years, but that is hard for DD and her boyfriend. A lovely day yesterday.

OrianaBanana · 03/11/2016 06:35

That is lovely Positive, for him to get where he is through such adversity is nothing short of amazing.

FaithAscending · 03/11/2016 07:03

Aww PA, that's wonderful! He sounds very strong.

I'm delighted to report a 2lb loss this week which means I got my first 1/2 stone award, 2 weeks after I started! Smile

OwlinaTree · 03/11/2016 07:13

Well done Faith! That is fab news pa, what a little fighter. Glad you have been able to have cuddles.

ALemonyPea · 03/11/2016 11:15

Lovely news PA. Love baby cuddles.

I am ravenous this morning, no idea why. I could easily devour everything in the cupboards and fridge. Have stayed on plan though.

Going out tonight for my dad's birthday, already planned what I'm having my main, and have saved syns in case I want a pudding (I will).
