1898 that consultant sounds awful, sorry you had to go through that. Has she been doing it a while? I've done SW a few times over the years, now back after a 10yr, and two kids, hiatus. My consultant is young and brand new, and lovely (she lost 9 stone!). She wouldn't do something like yours did, she usually says something like "we've seen a gain on the scales this week, how are you feeling for the week ahead?".

Sorry to hear you're battling the nasty C word, hope things go well for you. If you want to change your username you need to go to the 'My Account' section (might be easier to do on PC or laptop).

Well done to all the loser and target reachers! Gives me the motivation I need although I'm not seeing what I would like on the scale having worked pretty hard but never mind I will keep at it.
Is tinned fruit in juice (with juice drained) classed as speed or free does anyone know?

Tinned fruit is a healthy extra b I think. You'll need to check how much you can have.

FirstTimeMummy25 · 28/10/2016 08:32

Oh really?? Maybe that's where I've been going wrong. Thank you

FaithAscending · 28/10/2016 08:40

Tinned fruit can be a speed fruit according to the website.

1898 that sounds awful! In our group, our leader will say 'We're celebrating x pounds lost in total....not such a good week this week. What happened/what are you going to put in place to turn things around this week?'. I would be inclined to change groups and disclose to the leader privately about the cancer so you don't have to talk about it so publicly. There should be better understanding of missing weeks then as well. I hope you kick its arse! Smile

firsttime, double check with your consultant. Tinned fruit has never been free on sw, I'll be delighted if it is now but sadly i suspect not.

OwlinaTree · 28/10/2016 09:01

Well done on getting to target madness

Frouby · 28/10/2016 09:10

Hello all

Welcome newbies and well done losers!

Having a bit of a nightmare here. Sister had her thyroidectomy on Wednesday so that has been difficult. Operation went well and she is sore but recovering well in hospital.

My youngest sisters dp had a massive heart attack Thursday night. He is on life support in a coma in hospital. He is only 40. Sister has 2 dcs, one at 11 and one at 2. My mum keeps having angina attacks and is struggling a bit herself.

So am juggling kids, sisters and mum around to try and make sure everyone is looked after. And so youngest sister can be at the hospital with bil. Plus I have my own dcs and my other sisters dcs to try and sort.

It's a bloody nightmare and meal planning gone to shit. And last week I was off plan a few days because of my birthday and then half term.

Just hoping that the damage isn't too bad. But I suppose we have more things to worry about than being on plan.

ALemonyPea · 28/10/2016 09:16

Frouby, at times like this, you are well within your rights to go off plan. Thinking of you and your family.

Faith, the app isn't showing tinned peaches as speed, its just picked up the word peaches, which are a speed fruit.

FaithAscending · 28/10/2016 09:17

Yeah I realised that after I posted! Still getting to grips with it. Sorry.

ALemonyPea · 28/10/2016 09:19

No need to apologise, just trying to help

FirstTimeMummy25 · 28/10/2016 09:32

Thank you all, I think I'm going to try following sp plan next week see if it makes a difference.

FirstTimeMummy25 · 28/10/2016 09:33

Frouby I agree with lemon, you should do what's best and easiest for you and your family at a time like this. Hope all is ok and gets better soon

alibongo5 · 28/10/2016 10:12

Frouby - you've got enough to worry about without worrying about whether you're on plan or not. Hope everything works out well for everyone in your family.

And I was specifically told at my first meeting this week that tinned fruit doesn't count as a free food - I think it's synned.

Scorbus · 28/10/2016 11:39

Congratulations on getting to target thisis

alibongo5 · 28/10/2016 12:50

Found it - you have to search canned rather than tinned on the website

"Asda Peach Slices in Fruit Juice, canned (per 100g) 2 syns"

obrigada · 28/10/2016 12:51

Jumping back in if that's ok? Was on the thread a couple of months back.
I have lost 1st 4.5lb since joining SW in April but for the last 2 months have been putting on and losing the same 3lb so need to put in more of an effort now.

LavenderRains · 28/10/2016 15:24

frouby Flowers

Been doing night shifts so it's been tough not stuffing chocolate all night like I usually do. Had some chicken and rice at 2am which helped! not Wi this week so will have to wait until Wednesday. My work uniform feels a bit slacker tho which is great as it was bursting at the seams Confused

OwlinaTree · 28/10/2016 16:53

Frouby, what a difficult time for you all.

Buttwing · 28/10/2016 19:25

Frouby that sounds so hard. Just do what you need to to get through this shitty timeFlowers

Welcome all the newbies and the people who've not been on for a whileHalloween Smile
Well done to all the loses!

I really feel like I'm flying by the seat of my pants at mo and spread a bit too thinly. Things should settle down a bit next week. Managed to do a big aldi shop today so lots of yummy healthy ( and not so healthy!) food in. I've been good today but evenings are where I find it hard!

B-banana
L- ham, mushroom and tomato omelette with beans
D-pasta with braising steak in tomato sauce.

Dds birthday party tomorrow and I have a huge chocolate cake in the pantry. I'm planning to put huge slices in the party bags so there are no left overs for me to eat!!!

ALemonyPea · 28/10/2016 20:58

Did you see the butternut squash for 55p in Aldi today Butt? I've bought 4, going to make lots of soup, I've finally mastered making soup woohoo.

Buttwing · 28/10/2016 21:29

No I didn't lemony grrrr I always miss all the bloomin bargains!! I had dd2(6) with me which wasn't very helpful!! I did see the stolen bites though!

ALemonyPea · 28/10/2016 21:36

Yes I saw those as well, put them in and out my trolley three times at least. Bought some ginger iced biscuits (can't remember proper name) from Lidl last week, they'll hopefully make it to Christmas.

user1470771898 · 29/10/2016 08:09

Frouby - I hope things take an up turn soon and your family recovers.

And thank you to everyone who said find a new group - you're right - I'm not into my or anyone else's humiliation.

And wishing everyone a happy weekend (and a few lbs off).
