Thank you Owlina x

I am just putting dinner on and having a bottle of budweiser. lager is partially to blame for my weight so I have only had it on holidays while I have been doing sw. But dp bought a box yesterday and they have been calling me ever since.

It is very nice and very refreshing but will be the only 1 I have.

I was thinking the other day about how much healthier I must be. IN the last 3 years I have stopped smoking (a proper 20 a day girl), bf ds for 18 months which is supposed to be good for you and taken my BMI down from 34 to about 28. And reduced my alcohol intake from probably double or more the 15 units down to probably just less than 15. Still got stuff to improve but I am definitely better for what I have done so far.

After Christmas I can start training my baby pony to be a ridden pony so will definetEly get fitter and stronger then. Probably more broken at some point too lol.

OwlinaTree · 25/09/2016 15:48

Thanks for the welcome! Stuck on the sofa breastfeeding all day today.

B scrambled egg, beans and toms on toast hexb
L smoked salmon salad ( can't believe I can eat smoked salmon!) Apple
D plan to have burger and SW chips, homemade burger and wholemeal roll hexb and hexa cheese.

Still can't believe I'm going to lose weight, looking forward to Tuesday WI.

OwlinaTree · 25/09/2016 16:02

Bah will have to be quorn burger as dh says no 5% mind left in the supermarket. Hey ho.

OwlinaTree · 25/09/2016 16:02

5% mince ov.

Mummyme87 · 25/09/2016 16:10

So OH agreed that we could try for DC2, I ideally want to do this in a the next 6-8weeka but want to lose some weight, ideally at least 2 stone. Not sure how achievable this is, I am 1week in and 5lb down

ALemonyPea · 25/09/2016 16:56

I'm not a in the house drinker, but definitely enjoy a drink socially. Cocktails, wine and vodka and cokes. I'm terrible.

Mummy, you can do SW when pregnant, so don't worry about timescales.

I've been picking at leftover pulled pork all day. Bloody love the stuff. I was ever so good though and cut off all visible fat before I cooked it.

emwithme · 25/09/2016 17:10

Welcome Owl

Curry last night was lovely. DH was a bit disappointed that Iceland didn't have the Beef Chana Saag (does anyone know if it's been discontinued) so had a non-Fatfighters Lamb Rogan Josh which meant that I had plenty curry (chicken saag and sweet potato) for leftovers for brekkie!

Brunch: Leftover curry and rice
Dinner: Roast beef, yorkshire pudding, roast potato, carrot, broccoli.
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars

I've now tried one of each of the new "crumble" muller lights (I don't tend to eat them, but they were free with the curry!) and can say that actually, they're not bad.

DH has also agreed that we can TTC No 1 now...I just need to get to the docs to discuss folic acid levels (I know you are supposed to take it at a higher level if you've got a family history of neural tube disorders, but I don't know how close they count as "family history"; I have two cousins (from the same aunt) who both lost babies due to this so need to check it out in case I need the bigger tablets) so hopefully I'll be at target within the next few weeks and then can work on getting fat again!

Mummyme87 · 25/09/2016 17:38

I plan to keep doing SW when pregnant but would like to get my BMI under 30 by then as don't want to trigger any more risks and referrals at booking for raised BMI and diabetes. I had undiagnosed diabetes with DS and my CS recovery was probably hindered by my weight 😞

Coulddowithanap · 25/09/2016 18:41

Managed to lose 2lb this week Grin very happy with myself! I did a few sp days and found them easy enough so I'll do a couple this week too.

OwlinaTree · 25/09/2016 20:06

Well done on 2lb nap. I'll be pleased with that on Tuesday.

Just about to have dinner, 2 quorn burgers in a wholemeal bun with cheese, few chips and massive salad. Yum yum!

OwlinaTree · 25/09/2016 20:36

What is an SP day?

ALemonyPea · 25/09/2016 20:51

Well done Nap.

An SP day is when you eat only foods that have an S or P next to it, and half your plate has to be S foods. No free foods are allowed, so no yoghurts.

OwlinaTree · 25/09/2016 21:12

Ok, thanks.

Mummyme87 · 26/09/2016 07:06

Do you still have your HEA and HEB on SP days? And are you allowed your Syns?

ninnypoo · 26/09/2016 07:31

Mummy 1 HExA 2 HExB and yes you're allowed syns.

OwlinaTree · 26/09/2016 09:09

Morning all! Porridge with fruit for breakfast, yum yum.

Can any of you guys help me with ideas? My group is having a party this week and we all have to bring some party food that is presumably free or low syn. Anyone suggest something easy I could make? Thanks!

emwithme · 26/09/2016 09:41

Owl my go-to taster session food is either some Iceland SW meatballs, cooked and chilled, or a pack of M&S mini lemon meringues (1/2 syn each, 7 for the whole tub)...if my M&S has got any, that is.

Well done Nap on the loss.

Feeling really bloated this morning, ate far too much roast dinner last night and my poo hasn't arrived and I need to leave for work in 20 minutes. It's going to be one of those days, isn't it.

Today's food:

Breakfast: Eggy muffins
Lunch: Roast beef salad, apple, pear, satsumas
Pre-college snack: Ryvita, cottage cheese
Dinner: Cajun chicken breast, rice, salad
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi bars (at college break)

ALemonyPea · 26/09/2016 10:35

I hate party week at group.

What about blueberry baked oats, made in muffin trays so they're like muffins? I make these myself and they're lovely, just like blueberry muffins, and 1 syn for 3.

My recipe is for 3 muffins, so you'd need to change accordingly.

35g oats
2 tbsp sweetener
1 egg
1 small pot of activia 0% vanilla yoghurt
50g blueberries

Mix all together and put muffin tray that's been sprayed with frylight. Bake in oven, gas mark 6 for 35 minutes.

ALemonyPea · 26/09/2016 10:39

That should say, 1 syn if using the oats as HEB.

froubylou · 26/09/2016 11:12

Morning all

I dont stay to group so don't do taster days. But if I did I would do mackerel pate.

blitz 2 tins if mackerel in tomato sauce, 8 seafood sticks, 2 small pots of ff natural yoghurts and salt and pepper until a pate type consistency. leave in fridge for a couple of hours to firm up a bit. serve with veg sticks or a heb like ryvitas.

Todays plan.

b. Coffee
L. dunno. shopping in a minute so will see.
T. jacket spud with salad and whatever else I fancy. Probably tuna.

Syns will be saved for gin after sisters scan results. I will definitely need it.

OwlinaTree · 26/09/2016 12:13

Thanks for the tips, I'm off to the shops so will see what I can get!

TheImprobableGirl · 26/09/2016 14:25

Started back on it today- weigh in later which I'm a little afraid of, but the damage is already done now!!

Quite proud that I had my usual coffee morning and didn't eat any cake/chocolate biscuits (just a banana and an orange!) but then realised I had only white bread in so have had to use my syns for a piece of that instead of usual HEB.

B- orange and banana

L- Mashed potato, Bisto gravy (1 syn) and micro veg with turkey breast. Orange

S- half pack hula hoops (3 syns)

  • 1 piece warburtons bread (4.5 syns) with Chicken breast

D - beef and potato curry (with mushrooms, chickpeas, peppers) and some rice. Will probably have to add some speed veg too!

OrianaBanana · 26/09/2016 16:01

Smoked salmon pate with veg crudités is always a hit. Blitz smoked salmon and quark together with lemon juice and season to taste. All free!

ALemonyPea · 26/09/2016 18:28

I must try a pate. Love the stuff.

DC have been off school today for a teachers training day, so no gym for me, just had a chill day. Freezing now. Forgot how cold it is not being so fat.

B: Porridge HEB
D: subway salad
T: chilli, rice, salad, HEA cheese

ninnypoo · 26/09/2016 19:14

L: jacket potato with tuna sweetcorn
T: Spanish omlette with salmon, pepper and asparagus
S: peach yoghurt, HIfI bars, fruit
