Just been weighed in 1.5lb off so got my 1.5 stone award.

I just need to keep on plan today. I have an awful habit of going way over board on a Monday and then fighting against it all week.

I always go shopping Monday afternoon meaning I don't have a lot in Monday lunch. I think I need to food plan Monday's better.

My losses were bigger when I didn't pig out on a Monday.

CoffeeandChocolateplease · 11/04/2016 09:48

Morning all, 4lb off in my first week so pleased with that! I have a busy week work wise, so have sorted my packed lunches for the days that I need them.

Well done on your loss Katenka, and hope you feel better soon Emily - I am dreading getting a cold as I know I just want to eat when that happens - I'll need to think of some strategies.

EmilyK83 · 11/04/2016 09:52

Well done Katenka and Coffee! Awesome losses!

Thanks Coffee - was going to make myself some soup for lunch but realised I don't have anything in to make it with! And it's pouring with rain here so I don't want to go out and risk making it worse!

I'll survive :)

maygirl · 11/04/2016 11:17

Got any frozen or tinned veg or beans you could make into a soup Emily ? I often forget this is an option!
Well done on today's losses so far. I'm preparing for an interview and trying not to stress eat! Especially as my suit only just fits! Haven't been able to fit into this suit since 2009, yay!! SOS log is really helping me be mindful about what's going on with my eating .The other night I was doing some boring work late at night and was convinced I was hungry, but really it was because I needed an excuse to take a break. I decided to leave it until the next day and relax with a book and the need to eat totally went.

EmilyK83 · 11/04/2016 11:20

Good thinking may - will have a look! Thanks!

Nice NSV for you too! I was reading something the other day about the psychology of weight loss and it was talking about how you should wear clothes that are a little too tight if you're trying to lose weight, as it'll give you more motivation to fit into them - whereas you can get complacent with looser clothes. Makes complete sense, really!

OrianaBanana · 11/04/2016 12:53

Still away this weekend and I've been really struggling (successfully so far) to eat on plan though I've maxed out my syns. Today is even an SP day. I really hope this shows on the scales as its been so tough.

B - beans, grilled tomatoes and bacon, poached egg (gave away sausage and hash brown), tea (0.5 for milk) toast (HExB + 3 by accident so annoying) and marmalade (1)
L - courgetti (carrot and cabbage) bolognese at M&S with HExA cheese although I'm now probably thinking I should count at least (1) for possible oil Sad it's probably more really. Lemon drizzle cake I only ate 2/3 of (10 - looked that up), Diet Coke
D - speed fruit on drive home! Maybe ham or chicken slices if I can find them in service station (and avoid Burger King Hmm)

Ok so maybe slightly over today but I'm trying!

trinitybleu · 11/04/2016 13:15

Good luck trinity!

So far today I've had some frozen berries, a leftover sausage (0.5) from last night's dinner, a mug of hot water, lemon juice and honey (1) and 60g of dried apricots as my healthy B. And lots and lots of sugar free squash. Fingers crossed I'll feel better later!

I'm a writer and editor, calzone - have my own website, plus edit a food magazine and do some editing work for a content marketing company. Luckily I can work from home!

calzone · 11/04/2016 15:48

Oh how fabulous! Sounds like a great job!

I love it...but sadly it's the reason why SW is needed! Seemed like the best plan to fit around going out to review places etc - and it's the longest I've ever stuck to any "diet"!

KittyOShea · 11/04/2016 16:08

Congrats to all the losers- Helen that is amazing Grin

Emily hope you are feeling better soon.

Despite best laid plans yesterday I forgot to bring my hi fi bar when meeting a friend for coffee (which also turned into lunch)
I had tomato and basil soup with a bread roll and a little pat of butter, fresh fruit salad, a skinny latte and then ruined it all by having Bakewell tart Blush. Am hoping I wasn't too far over 15 syns but think I might be being optimistic there...

Today so far
B- the usual- porridge, raspberries, yoghurt, cinnamon, grapefruit
L- pea and ham soup, yoghurt, fruit, hi fi
D- leftovers of last nights ham risotto

Syns- sugar 2, hi fis 6

justamo · 11/04/2016 17:15

Well done losers. (Love that phrase, it makes me want to put my finger & thumb to my forehead Smile)
I'm struggling. My meals are good (I think) it's the time in between. Too many biscuits are creeping in. I'm active so my brain is saying 'you've earned it, you've worked the calories off' but I've had a sneaky look at the scales and the needle isn't budging Sad

Today has been better (so far) but there was a birthday at work and I succumbed to the cake and 2 shortbread bites which apparently have 4 syns each - how can something so small be so high?!
B - weetabix muffin, pear & choc shot
L - ryvita, laughing cow x 3, carrot sticks, Apple, satsuma
D - salad, pilchards & new potatoes. Yoghurt
Syns - cake, 2 shortbread bites, malteser bunny - will be over ...again!
Exercise - 30 day shred, netball

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 11/04/2016 19:49

Well I only went and lost. 2.5lbs so now Im at my first mini goal which was my goal for when I go on holiday in 8 weeks. So have now lowered my holiday weight goal by another half a stone. I will still be over a stone to proper target, but

Also got offered a job today so handed in my notice of the one Im in right now. Im going to miss it in some ways, but its time for me to move on now. Ive only been there a year, but there is talk of moving my work to India. Plus being a temp I need to be more secure. This was my 3rd interview and the first where I thought I really wanted the job. So scary, but exciting all the same.

So to celebrate I bought some cake. I'll pull it back this week.

Thanks for the virtual handhold katenka Sorry Ive just seen your reply.

Well done on the losses those of you who have had WI today.

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 11/04/2016 19:51

Apparently I can't finish sentences. Have no idea what I was going to say in my first sentence. Must have thought about something else and forgot Blush

EmilyK83 · 11/04/2016 20:02

Nicely done DrHarleen - on the loss and on the job!

Just - maybe have a look in your book for lower syn biscuits to replace those you're currently eating? Every little helps...

Here's tonight's dinner. Smoked haddock, then a mixture of carrot, celery, Puy lentils, onion, spinach, stock, quark, lemon zest and dill! So easy and so, so good! Added it to my Pinterest board of saved SW-friendly recipes to do again in the future!

Had a green day today rockin it Old Skool (sorry, I'll get my coat) so I could have 2 x HEA.

Breakfast: Breakfast muffins (mushroom, onion, peppers)
Lunch: Hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, giant salad, apple, pear, satsumas.
Dinner: Leek & Macaroni cheese from Jan 2015's magazine...bloody gorgeous, proper rib-sticker. Next time, though, I'll use less tomato puree and more mustard powder (I like my mac&cheese to have a real kick to it).
HEA1: Milk
HEA2: Cheese
HEB1&2: Hifi bars

Your dinner looks amazing, em!

HelenF35 · 11/04/2016 21:01

Only had 3 Syns today. Do I have a cream egg or some wine? Can't decide!

maygirl · 11/04/2016 21:06

True about clothes, in my slim days I always wore fitted skirts and tops for work, lost weight after DS as went back to work, but had a few years out after DD dressed in loose "mum uniform" and its taken a lot longer. Must buy proper jeans, not jeggings when hit target!
Well done losers!!
B baked oats with raspberries and sweet freedom 1.5 syn heB heA milk in coffees
L leftover Bolognese, baked sweet potato, Apple, Satsuma

1 cracker 2 syns
D spaghetti, broccoli, green beans , courgettes, prawns, philli light with salmon and dill 4 syns .
Spinning class
Total 7.5 syns

HelenF35 · 11/04/2016 21:07

And how many Syns do you guys generally have per day? I usually have 5-9 but not sure if this is correct. I'm doing the plan online so don't have a consultant to ask.

KittyOShea · 11/04/2016 21:41

You should have at least 5 Helen and no more than 15. I usually have around 8 or 9 most days to try and make up any I have miscounted or from any days I've over indulged.
Consultants will tell you that you can't save your syns buts it's only now I'm finding that difficult (only 8lbs from target now)
