I should do the confessional:

B: Soya yog, banana, rasps, vanilla bean paste (2 syns), soya milk coffee (HexA) and sugar (2 syns)

L: Tesco veggie burger (2.5 syns) in lettuce with small portion sweet potato chips and vegan mayo (1 syn)

D: Lentil bol with pasta and a effin ton of baked mushrooms

S: Alpen light (HexB), rasps, a solitary dark choc (2 syns) and a V&slimline (4 syns)

So 13.5 syns for the day.

I have 3st 4lbs to lose. The horrrrrrrorrrrrrrr Shock

AgentDunham · 08/04/2016 19:49

Thanks EmilyK83 - socially unacceptable to have wine for Dutch courage at 9am? WineWink

inchoccyheaven · 08/04/2016 19:51

Hi all, have done my first week of dieting and trying to follow sw. Have lost 2lbs but am kind of scared to eat so much in case i don't lose weight. Have been hungry quite a bit so far but have been very conscious not to eat anything "bad".
Will be trying out recipes seen online and feeding dc the same.

maygirl · 08/04/2016 20:08

Katsu curry was nice Emily but next time I'll make the sauce spicier and maybe add some ginger, it wasn't hot enough for us! I only needed 2 eggs not the 3 recipe suggested.

Puddings I like using heB of grape nuts as a fake cheesecake base with quark or low fat yogurt, tsp low sugar jam, berries and chocolate Orange choc shot . Have also made sw tiramisu using sponge fingers

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 08/04/2016 20:16

I am eating pasta bake made with a sauce of Philly Light Salmon and Dill, quark and spinach. HEB mozzarella on top. I reckon 3 Syns for the portion I am eating and it is lush.

scribblegirl · 08/04/2016 20:19

Meant to take a photo of my steak and sweet potato but ate it before I remembered Wink giant salad with it too!

Now off for my first glass of wine of the week - I've been gagging for it! Wine

calzone · 08/04/2016 20:26

Dinner was gammon and speed vegetables.

Bit boring but carb free again.

I had the chicken chasseur with butter beans and extra veg for an SP day yesterday. 2 syns for the wine and cornflour and it was very nice.

Dinner! Broccoli, courgette/mushroom/peppers in passata, chips and chicken in paprika. Looks like 1/3rd speed doesn't it? 😬 Not sure.

I have prepped every piece of fruit and veg in the house, so it's super easy to grab a healthy snack now or make a salad. On any given day I shouldn't have to wash or chop any fruit or veg if my system works :)

BendydickCuminsnatch · 08/04/2016 20:37

Pic!

Thanks may - will give it a go!

Agent - as long as you don't slur your way through group, I don't see why not... Wink

Choccy - take a look through the pics on here and you'll see how much people eat...you shouldn't be hungry on SW! It's all about eating the right foods...

Your dinners all look amazing! Here's mine - KFC style chicken with SW chips, coleslaw (made with fat free yoghurt and lemon juice) and beans. Well aware that there's not 1/3 speed there and that I should syn the couscous as it's a "tweak"...but I'm going to be a rebel and I'm not going to! So, so good...

All the food is looking good. Does anyone know if you join group and access app that it will only work while you go or can you keep using it even if stop going to group ?

DrHarleenFrancesQuinzel · 08/04/2016 22:19

Well today has been good. This evening not so.

B: Overnight oats (HEB) and some grapes and strawberries (basically the rest of the fruit mix that I didn't put in the oats)
Morning Snack: 25g cheese slice (HEA)
L: Salad and mullerlight yoghurt (0.5 syns for the Mayo)
Afternoon snack: Apple and banana
D: kfc

I didn't like my morning oats, but it was made with natural yoghurt, so im trying again, but with a strawberry muller light.

DH does all the cooking in our house, but so far he has been good at making stuff for me. We have a couple of recipe books and loads that I found on line. We have a couple of them a week. Also some things are tweaked for me. For example, when we have mash he will mash all the potatoes then before adding the vast amounts of butter will put some aside for me to which I will add brocolli and sprouts. Then spray the whole lot with some Fry light buttery and I will have that instead of buttery mash.

Flossyfloof · 08/04/2016 22:25

Choc u I am pretty sure they would block access to the app if you left. She takes you off our Facebook group if you don't come for a couple of weeks.

calzone · 08/04/2016 22:30

You definitely get blocked on the app if you stop going.

Calzone do you put any butter or milk in your scrambled eggs ? Meals sound great. I need to look up recipes otherwise will end up with pasta or jacket spuds all week!

HelenF35 · 08/04/2016 23:40

Can I join please? I just started on Monday. 3 stone of baby and lazy weight to shift! ShockNever done slimming world before but like it so far. Partner had tacos tonight, I had my beef in roasted peppers so I could have a big glass of wine. GrinWine

Rupeomatic · 09/04/2016 08:18

Hi all. First WI this morning - 5lbs off Grin

Really pleased! Tried a few recipes which were delicious (but of course forgot about taking pictures) which really made it easier than I thought to stick to for the week. Not sure about next week, as I go away for 4 days and my meals will be catered, but we'll see.

EmilyK83 · 09/04/2016 08:51

Calzone you're super organised!!

Hey Helen - welcome!

Rupeo - that's awesome - and next week just be good on the meals where you can and make sensible choices where possible!

Meal planning shortly, no idea what we're doing food-wise today yet. Got my 15mo goddaughter overnight which'll make the evening more interesting!

calzone · 09/04/2016 09:14

Well done Rupeo!!!!

No milk or butter in my scrambled eggs......just spray oil.....

So 2 gin and slimlines last night turned into 3 glasses of wine Blush however I have syned the lot and as I had no other syns on Thursday or Friday I think I'm in the clear!

I have to say that I think the reason SW will work for me is that I can't up my booze intake by sacrificing a fatty meal. When calorie counting, I tended to take the view that if I had a big night out coming up, I'd just stick to salad for the day so I had the calories to 'spend' - and would then fall off the wagon spectacularly with a drunk macdonalds and a hangover! Whereas with SW it doesn't matter whether I've eaten a full meal or skived - I can only have as many drinks as I can afford to syn, which means I don't go OTT on the wine (which is just generally something I needed to calm down for health anyway) but also I may as well eat sensibly before the pub anyway.

Sorry, that's a bit of a ramble! It's just the first time that 'food optimisation' makes sense to me over straight calorie counting.... Grin

AgentDunham · 09/04/2016 09:21

Boom! First weigh-in and a 3.5lb loss. I'll take that. Expect I'll be a tortoise from this point on an move to 1-1.5lbs a week. But onwards and downwards. My class is a 35 minute walk away, so decided to make this body magic every Saturday. I think I will combine in more walking/exercise next week to keep me closer to average 1.5lbs average loss. Kids up re-donk early today, so minestrone in the slow cooker (bloody love Pinterest for ideas.) Well done to all those with the losses and good luck to those weighing in soon Smile
