Lost another 3lb tonight and got my 1.5 St award. I'm loving it I've never stuck to a diet for this long before and I rarely feel deprived.

scribblegirl · 07/04/2016 20:46

Dinner! "Lasagne" made with aubergine layers instead of pasta and a a filling made with extra lean beef mince, onion, mushroom, tinned tomato and beef stock. Topped with fat free cottage cheese, mozzarella for hex A (measured perfectly!) and salad on the side. Delicious!

Well done sleepless!

Dinners look amazing people!

Erm...made a bit of a cock up today. Had a skinny latte in town for my HexA, and forgot I had leftover pastitsio to reheat for dinner tonight...which includes another HexA. What should I do? Syn one of them, or miss out tomorrow's HexA? I'm so rubbish...

BasinHaircut · 07/04/2016 21:09

Just syn it if you have the syns emily, it's only 5 syns I think??

EmilyK83 · 07/04/2016 21:21

I ended up leaving lots of the topping in the end - booooo! Counting 2 syns...and enjoying another 7 at the moment in the form of Mikados with my HexB pistachios and some raspberries!

Gutted though, I love the topping!

Non Scale Victory for me today.

I put on some normal trousers that I have been wearing for the past year or so. Size 16. Anyway I was stood at the water machine at work and I was looking down and decided that they were far too big for me and looked ridiculous. Im a bit embarrassed about wearing them now, but it does mean that something is working.

B: Couscous and banana
Morning Snack: 25g cheese slice (HEA)
L: Salad and muller light yoghurt
Afternoon snacks: Apple and 2 Hifi bars (HEB)
D: Out for curry for DH's birthday meal which was yesterday (far too many syns)

We did pop to the shop afterwards to get some lunches in for DH and the DCs tomorrow before we go shopping for the week and I got some oats. So right now I have got some overnight oats preparing for my breakfast. I have them with Fat Free Greek Yoghurt and berries (strawberries, blueberries and raspberries). Will buy some frozen ones tomorrow.

Hay135 · 07/04/2016 21:31

Well done em I don't think I'd have the will power!!! Especially day as I wasted my syns on thing I didn't really want. I popped a bit of my daughter leftover toast into my mouth without thinking and then guessed at 2 syns followed by a couple of crisps she offered me 1syn, 2 malteasers because my other dd didn't finish her them 1 syn, plus 5 syns for the turkey dinosaur my daughter didn't want (she is poorly so just picked all day and I hate waste need to remind myself that children will still go hungry even if I eat the leftovers guilt issues with wasted food). So that's 9 syns just wasted grrr so mad at myself AngryBlush.
Managed to end the day on 15syns but still I could have had something much more satisfying for those syns. I will make better choices tomorrow.

maygirl · 07/04/2016 22:04

EmilyK83 · 07/04/2016 22:04

Hay...I'm with you on the food waste front, but I'm hoping it'll teach me to remember what I've already had next time before doing dinner on autopilot!

Sounbelievablydull · 08/04/2016 08:02

Morning all
Just checking in lost 2 lbs this week so total of 12lbs now slow but sure
I honestly have to thank all of you on this thread because I really did not understand the speed food rules until it was explained on here. I think I was harking back to the old red and green days of sw. I'm really trying to stick with the third portion that now so it may be where I've been going wrong!!
Can I also ask what you do about others in the house? For example last night I made paprika pork which I thought was quite nice but my husband groaned and said he's fed up with these sw meals .
Do you cook separately for yourselves?
I'm the only fatty in the house 5 of us here all adults really so would like to hear how you all manage?

KittyOShea · 08/04/2016 08:08

I cook the same for both me and DH (no children).
Our dinners are not that much different to before SW tbh so no major complaints.
He sorts his own breakfasts and lunches.
The only problem is when he gets bread in as I find it so hard to resist- I get him to put it on a high shelf I can't reach (am only 5ft 2)
Unfortunately he also pinches my rocky road bars Angry

EmilyK83 · 08/04/2016 08:21

I'm in the same boat as Kitty - it's just me and dp and we both eat the same. He'll sometimes have extra grated cheese on his meals - or sauces on the side that I don't fancy synning - but he'll more often than not eat exactly.

Maybe sit down at the weekend and ask what he's like to eat next week, and try and find SW versions? We meal plan every Sat for the following week, and more often than not it means we have one or two days a week where we have something that we'd have eaten before (burgers, pasta bakes etc) that still fit in with SW, but that are his choice too...

Well done on the loss too!

katenka · 08/04/2016 08:29

Unfortunately he also pinches my rocky road bars

I love the rocky road bars. I would be considering ltb Grin

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 08/04/2016 08:32

Well done Loulou and other losers.

I have three lots of bolognese in the freezer, soup in the slow cooker and mushroom cooking for breakfast. Have also made breakfast omelette to freeze - cooked spuds, Quorn low fat sausages, tomatoes all chopped up and then four eggs beaten with defrosted frozen spinach poured over. Bakes for twenty five minutes and then can be cut into wedges and frozen - it is ace for breakfast.

Also have a ton of cooked pasta so going to make pasta bake later.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 08/04/2016 08:34

Oh, and last night's tea was free and cheapish - pasta with smoked salmon trimmings mixed in and salad - the trimmings are only £1/£1.50 a packet and it tastes a bit luxurious.

calzone · 08/04/2016 08:59

Plan for today......

B....2 tangerines, pear, Apple, ff vanilla yoghurt
L.....syn free aubergine dip with Scan bran and salad
D....steak, jacket sweet potato and salad
