Hi everyone :)

Had an up and down weekend. After Thursday's disaster I've let things slip a little. I was going to ignore amount of syns I had, but decided to tot them up this evening - eeekk! But I've got back on track since then with just the odd wobble. Met up with old friends yesterday and was good with the jacket potato and tuna with loads of salad, but then my daughter bought some fresh doughnuts and sat next to me. The smell was too much and I had to have one. Thankfully not as chunky as I'm used to (but still delicious and worth every mouthful). She'd also requested fajitas for dinner, so I had mine without the wraps and a load of salad. Followed that up with a solero.

Cooked breakfast this morning - bacon medallions, mushrooms, beans, tinned tomatoes and fried egg (in frylite)

lunch - left over cottage pie with swede/carrot topping

Dinner - chicken thighs, new pots, roasted ratatouille, purple sprouting broccoli and green beans

Thought I had a solero left in the freezer for dessert, but it's gone missing Hmm so I had a cornetto instead.

I've just realised as I've typed this out that I've forgotten my healthy extras today, because I usually have them for breakfast (porridge and milk).

Got a poorly daughter here, been feeling sick, gone to bed without her dinner, temp of 100.4F, and a cold flannel on her head. She's got exams tomorrow Sad

Got weigh in tomorrow - not hopeful at all after this week.

BasinHaircut · 14/03/2016 07:33

Hi everyone, I'm back from my weekend away and staying away from the scales for a few days so that the bloating and water retention goes and I can assess the real damage. I have been feeling like my period is coming for a week now (my uterus is sore and my tummy feels swollen) but nothing. So might be holding onto a bit of water there too.

Ate LOADS at the weekend and I'm sure the miles and miles of walking won't even begin to touch the sides but I don't care as I had a well needed fab time.

I'm really not hungry today though, so not sure what I'll do about food yet. Have allowed myself until tomorrow off-plan as I need to shop and knew I'd be tired and disorganised today so I'm technically still on a SW holiday Grin

Ava please try not to blame yourself. I really don't think we can predict what impact our choices/behaviour will have on others. Your DD sounds like a great kid and even though the secret/comfort eating is far from ideal, at least she isn't going off the rails. She clearly knows right from wrong so you should be proud of that!

You sound like you are doing all you can to support her. Good idea to bring it up with the GP. Flowers

Morning all. Weigh in at 10am after two weeks completely off plan stuffing my face with all food. If I have gained less than half a stone I will be incredibly shocked. Not looking forward to this...

Katenka · 14/03/2016 07:45

kim I haven bee great this week either weigh in at 9am not looking forward to it either.

Best to just get through it. We can hold virtual hands! Grin

Kim82 · 14/03/2016 07:54

Virtual hand holding sounds great Katenka. I'm forcing myself to group today as if I don't I know the binge eating will continue and I will carry on eating crap this week too. Good luck for your weigh in - I doubt very much it will be worse than mine! Blush

Sixpencenonethericher · 14/03/2016 09:49

Hi everyone I'm quite new I've joined online Friday and so far so good
I'm disabled so I can't move much
I've got 6 stone to lose good luck to everyone getting weighed today x

HemanOrSheRa · 14/03/2016 10:17

Morning!

Ava you sound like a bloody brilliant Mum and your DD a lovely, sensitive girl. You'll get there Flowers.

I managed to stay on plan on Saturday, and then wine happened Confused. I didn't do anything wrong foodwise though. I guess it's about being realistic and the chances of me never, ever having an off plan day is very unlikely so I was straight back on it yesterday.

Today I have had froached egg for breakfast! With mushrooms and tomatoes fried in frylight, a small spoonful of beans and a slice of toast.

Lunch will be a massive salad with ham and new potatoes.

I'm back to my running group tonight. I can't eat a big meal before that but it will be late when I get home. So I've got a SW ready meal from iceland in the freezer for dinner. No excuses!

Good luck to those getting weighed in today! Have a good day everyone!

Kim82 · 14/03/2016 10:43

Back from weigh in and I've gained 5lb. I'm quite happy with that, it's honestly not as bad as I thought it would be. I'm back on plan 100% from today and doing a couple of sp days this week to try and get the full 5lb gain off by next week.

bobinsky · 14/03/2016 10:45

Am in need of inspiration - what are your favourite minced beef recipes? My kids usually like easy to eat meals after swimming lessons on a Monday and I usually make spaghetti bolognaise with loads of grated veg and lentils in - but I fancy a change tonight.....

curren · 14/03/2016 11:23

Kim glad it was better than expected!

I stayed the same which I am happy with. Wasn't perfect last week and injured so couldn't move for most of last week.

Group was a bit annoying. Loads of people suggesting binge eating today and give myself a break and start tomorrow. Not in front of the consultant but before body image started. But I don't want to do that as I will feel I can't have anything syn wise for the rest of the week. Some people can get away with a day eating what they want but I can't.

And I am trying to break my binge eating cycle, that's not help.

Back at it. Just been to asda with my meal plan. Hoping for a 2lb loss this week!

johnsonking · 14/03/2016 12:46

good luck everyone with your weigh ins this week.

today is the first official day of eating sw again. yesterday was so lovely that I decided to kick start this week by going for a run (more like a jog) & jogged 34 minutes which was 3 miles. had toast for late breakfast/early lunch then fry up for dinner (although nothing was actually fried) & a few chocolates leftover from mothers day. also ate a banana & bunch of grapes. probably not enough food intake but just wasnt that hungry.

today work at 4-8am then meatfree sausage sandwich for breakfast. aquarobics class 45min & home.
lunch omelette, meat free bacon & salad followed by fruit
dinner planning meatfree something & pasta in a tomato sauce

starting weight 11.10.6lb. goal weight 11 stone-ish & back comfortably into my size 14s :)

Kim82 · 14/03/2016 13:00

Right, today's menu is:

B - alpen light bar

L - scrambled egg on wholemeal toast, Greek muller light (0.5 syns), packet of crisps (6.5 syns)

D - roast chicken, broccoli, cauliflower, sprouts

Sn - apple, pear, orange

I don't have much speed food in today so will have to make do with what I have, shopping day tomorrow so my menu will look better then.

Ragwort · 14/03/2016 13:11

Calzone - what sort of commitment is required to be a consultant, can you tell us a bit more about it?

Thanks

Welshloser · 14/03/2016 13:38

Also had pretty much a whole week off plan, although on and off, I think I had about 3 days with no syns and the rest were between 40 and 80 syns a day .... woops!! WI tonight and not looking forward to it.....so tempted no to go as its my other halfs birthday but I know if I don't I could spiral completely!! Hoping not to have completely undone all my hard work!!

longlivetheking · 14/03/2016 13:49

Good luck Welsh.
Weigh in for me tomorrow and tues-Friday I was angelic, Saturday night had cheese and biscuits and wine. Yesterday was mainly on plan with the odd sneaky nibble.
Today will be 100% so really hoping I can claw back a loss.

Kim82 · 14/03/2016 18:18

I've managed to stay on plan for almost a full day for the first time in two weeks - horay!!

Just this evening to get through but I should be fine, I'm not craving anything but will grab some fruit if I get peckish later and will have a nice, early night.

Does anybody else find that the longer they stick to plan the easier they find it? It will give me more willpower tomorrow if I stay on plan today. I did 8 weeks with no cheating whatsoever before I fell off the wagon. I hope I can manage that again, or even longer hopefully.

katenka · 14/03/2016 18:22

Well done Kim, me too. Stayed the same which I can live with.

I find it easier the longer I stick with it.

calzone · 14/03/2016 18:39

Well, Ragwort......

First 3 months is full on. Lots of promotion.....called a 7 prong attack. Promotion, motivation, training.
Lots of training as they need to protect their brand of SW.
The support looks excellent.

Franchise is £1500 plus a few extras is £1800.

Yes, Kim - definitely! Well done for staying on plan yesterday.

I was on plan yesterday (minus the HxB) too for the first time in errr...six months! Wasn't sure I was going to do SW this time - made a half-hearted attempt a while back when some friends joined a group (most of them didn't do much better sadly)...but this time it just feels different, even after one day! Feel full of hope that this is the start of the journey which will get me to goal - such a nice change.

I realised this morning that I forgot to have my HxB yesterday(so used to having it as porridge in the morning, which I am trying to stop). Haven't had it today yet either...

Anyway, hello everyone Smile.

I've decided not to go to group this time or have an official WI day (I will WI daily when I am at home and record on fridgegraph). Just going to look ahead to the next half-stone award, and I have stock-piled enough excess mass to look forward to many of those!

EmilyK83 · 14/03/2016 19:08

Good luck for this week's weigh ins everyone!

Today:

B - fruit

Skinny latte while out (4)

L - leftover chilli from last night, plus salad

D - meatzza topped with HexA light mozzarella, peppers, tomato purée, jalapeños and spinach...

Off out for a pub quiz tonight, aiming to stick with Diet Coke!! Will have my Hifi lights as HexB when I get home...although am tempted to take them with me to avoid crisps and peanuts!

lunatrick · 14/03/2016 20:14

Back from weigh in - lost 3lb, got my first half stone award and joint slimmer of the week! Very surprised considering the crap I ate last week! So far I've lost 9lb, going up in .5 increments each week.

Still got poorly daughter and husband and an assignment to write, so got a meal deal thingy from Tesco, which includes lasagne, wedges, choc cheesecake slice and bottle of sparkling rose wine.

I've made butternut squash, carrot, sweet potato and ginger soup in the slow cooker today, blitzed it all up and will use it for lunch the next couple of days.

Welshloser · 14/03/2016 20:45

Back from WI dont know how it happened but I lost 4lb, 1 stone 2lbs in 3 weeks.....I love SW x

KittyOShea · 14/03/2016 20:52

Congrats Welsh and all the other losers Grin

Flowers to Ava and others having a tough time.

I seriously over indulged on my weekend away- dinners out including pudding. Far too much Wine and a takeaway when I got home from airport last night. Really deserve to gain at least 2lbs but still hoping for a maintain Blush

Sitting down to the walking dead with a hi fi and a cuppa. I wonder how many syns all those zombies are chomping on Grin

HemanOrSheRa · 14/03/2016 21:47

Well done losers!

I went back to my running group tonight. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I was so glad I had SW ready meal stashed in the freezer. It's DP's day off today, he came home with takeaway southern fried chicken strips. It would have been so easy to dive into them. But I pinged my meal, did some extra veg and resisted! The meal was OK. I was ravenous by that point so practically inhaled it Grin.
