STOP THE SEARCH! I have found my mooncup

Katenka · 11/03/2016 16:47

Yay!! It's been found!!

Neck feels a little better today. Hopefully can get back to the exercise next week.

In other news a pair of jeggings that were to small when I started SW are not to big. Mum laughed at me in them.

Only issue is my next smallest pair don't fit yet! Stuck in jegging limbo Grin

AvaLeStrange · 11/03/2016 17:00

ROFL at jegging limbo Grin!

Trying to be restrained and do SP-ish as off out tonight and will need my sins for booze!

B: Porridge (HexB) made with water & a drizzle of syrup (ok, its a syn but really was just a drizzle so I'm studiously ignoring it)

L: Peri peri mugshot, crayfish, rocket & quark sandwich (HexB/Free)

Snacks - strawberries with chocolate quark (about a third of the half a tub plus Highlights I made last night so under 1 syn)
Slice of ham
HexA - semi skimmed milk

Does anyone know much about Wetherspoons food? I had Shanghai noodles the other week which are only 3 syns but don't fancy them again and the other things I'm considering are not listed on SW site. Think I'm going to go for peri peri chicken skewers & salad, possibly with rice to mop up the aforementioned booze!

cowboylover · 11/03/2016 17:49

I usually have a Jacket potato, salad and steak or gammon when I go to Weatherspoon. My Mum is a kitchen manager there so anything any one wants to check on cooking there I can probably find out!

Lost 1/2lb this week so another small step in the right direction so all the SP and water must have helped after Mothers Day weekend!

I am going to be having another 2 days off plan this weekend so going to be really focused on plan the rest of the time.

This week I went for a jog on Tuesday around the town and again Thursday, really enjoyed it! Not ran outdoors before but felt great compared to the treadmill. Building up to a 5k later this year I think.

To our Instagramers, well done on all the tags, really mounting up and great to follow on #mumsnetsw

johnsonking · 11/03/2016 19:15

evening all & hello
am feeling fed up, fat & bloated & need to get back to eating right. I started sw last year but gave up to join the gym over the winter months (couldnt afford both). anyways, havent gone to gym as much as I should have & have been hovering 2-3lbs either side of 11stone 10lb. I want to be around 11 stone-11.2lb so, although cant afford to join sw again at the moment, will use my books & get back on plan monday. I like to run so that will be my exercise. I got a fitbit for my birthday last month so can keep count of my steps & this does motivate me to move more which is good.
Ive read through the last few pages of this thread & you all seem to be doing so well & support each other, so hoping I can join in & use this thread to keep me in line :)
will be back on monday. have a good weekend xx

Katenka · 12/03/2016 06:35

Feeling left out. My AF was almost two weeks ago Sad

Hope everyone has a good weekend. I am sticking to SP for the next few days. I usually do a lot anyway but determined to fight my way out of jeggings limbo. Grin

I really don't want to have to buy an inbetween pair just for the sake of a few weeks.

AvaLeStrange · 12/03/2016 08:59

I keep trying to stick to SP days but find it really hard, as a lit of the food I eat regularly, especially fruit, is free but not S. I would have to advance plan to the nth degree to manage it I think, and I just don't have the time atm. Might try it over part of the Easter hols.

Didn't do too badly last night - had steak & salad which was delicious, and 3 glasses of wine which was just over my sins for the day. Then I had 3 vodka & slimline tonics which was not so good, but much better than it might have been and I had a great night. We also did a fair bit of walking from bar to bar & back to my friend's place so I think I probably burnt one of them off Grin!

Kim82 · 12/03/2016 09:10

Morning everyone. Yet another shitty off plan day yesterday. I seemed to have lost any willpower I might have had but then I saw some photos last night from the wedding I went to last weekend and they were horrific! I thought I might have looked okay-ish as I had lost 1.5 stone but I looked enormous in every single photo. Willpower has returned this morning and I am fully on sp today and tomorrow. I don't know how much I can salvage in just two days before weigh in but anything is better than nothing right?

Today's menu:

B - alpen light bar (1st HeB), fruit.

L - ryvita (2nd HeB) with scrambled egg, cress, cherry tomatoes, Greek muller light (0.5 syns)

D - cottage pie (I won't have the potato topping) with broccoli, cauliflower and sprouts.

Sn - oranges, apples, pears, strawberries

HeA - milk in cups of tea

Katenka · 12/03/2016 09:37

kim it's definitely better to get back on it today rather than waiting. If you are like me I could put another couple of pound on but being off plan for those two days. Which would leave more to lose next week.

Hope you have good day everyone!

EmilyK83 · 12/03/2016 09:58

Offline for a few days as things have been manic! Been a good few days food-wise though. Babysat for my best friend yesterday (my gorgeous 14mo goddaughter) while she's away for the weekend, and when her husband got home from work to relieve me of my duties, he told me that I've lost loads of weight! So glad other people can see it - real incentive to keep going! Grin

Today's plan:

B - leftover mashed potato made into potato cakes with a poached egg and some fruit for speed

L - will probably pick at bits, breakfast will be a late one as dp is still in bed!!

D - attempting a syn-free pulled pork recipe, with homemade coleslaw (shredded veggies with yoghurt and lemon juice) and HexB wholemeal roll, maybe a few SW chips

Going into town later so HexA will be a skinny latte. Syns in Asda choc frozen yoghurt (4syns for 100ml) with fruit for dessert...

CwtchesAndCuddles · 12/03/2016 10:39

WI for me today and another 1 pound off - which makes 17 1/2 pounds since I started at New Year! I'm really pleased with that, slow and steady for me!!! I would love to see huge losses every week but I know that this is not realistic. I am motivated by the fact I can enjoy my food and have a few treats and I'm looking at slimming world as a new way of eating and a lifestyle change rather than a short term diet.

I have a long way to go but if I can keep up a loss of a pound a week then by the end of the year I could be over 50 pounds lighter!!!!! I need to be realistic for this to work otherwise I know I will feel disappointed and give up.

maygirl · 12/03/2016 10:50

Hi everyone, wrote a long post last night and lost it Angry
Away again this weekend at a family party but feeling motivated to not go on food binge I was planning after reading SW weight loss blogs last night.
Sad side effect of SW, tried on dress for party today and my boobs don't fill it anymore. Why oh why I'm I losing fat here when my arse and thighs have so much going spare!?
Have great weekends all.

maygirl · 12/03/2016 10:54

Wow well done cwtches!

Hay135 · 12/03/2016 11:01

Feeling crap today. I know I shouldn't weigh myself but I did and after 4sp days I'm exactly the same and last week was my star week so I was expecting a decent loss. I don't get weighed officially till Monday but feeling a bit disheartened. I did have sp days planned for this weekend but forgot to go shopping yesterday so think I'm just gonna do the extra easy plan a sp takes up too much of my mental capacity!
Wish I hadn't gone near the scales I'm off to hide them so I don't keep weighing myself

CwtchesAndCuddles · 12/03/2016 11:22

Hay135

Try not to be too disheartened by the scales. I weigh every day, it keeps me motivated and no nasty surprises at the end on of the week! If I have had a few days where I've been a bit off plan then seeing it on the scales makes me get back on plan, I like to know where I am!

If you have a good weekend then the scales may surprise you on Monday.

KittyOShea · 12/03/2016 11:43

Am away for the weekend for sils 40th. Have probably had my days syns already with hotel breakfast and still have the party to go tonight with no doubt tons of alcohol! Won't be a good weekend SW wise but will be fun wise

Kim82 · 12/03/2016 12:44

Have a great time tonight Kitty and forget about syns for one day.

I used super willpower earlier. I took the kids to the retail park and they were mithering to go to McDonalds for lunch. I took them and just had a diet coke then made my lunch when we got back. I'd have given anything for a bigmac but know I would have regretted it the moment I swallowed the last mouthful. Ryvita and egg were nowhere near as tasty but at least I don't have any post-food guilt. Only another 10 or so hours of resisting tasty food to go before I can go to bed 😂

longlivetheking · 12/03/2016 13:08

Well done Kim! Sometimes it's really hard isn't it?!
We've people over for dinner later and I'm cooking a beautiful pie from the farm, but I'm having a SW meal so I can have a wine or two Hmm.
Been much more focused this week and even been doing a food diary. Really want a decent loss Tuesday

HemanOrSheRa · 12/03/2016 13:22

Bloody hell Cwtches! That is an epic weight loss!

I have just scoffed an epic SW full english brunch. Well, more like lunch after I'd faffed about doing other stuff. I'd forgotten just how lush SW food can be after a 15 month break. I had: bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, beans and cubed, fried potato. I also tried the Iceland SW sausages. They looked a bit meh and were troublesome to cook but were actually quite nice to eat with all the other trimmings. I am stuffed!

I've got chicken breasts marinading in the fridge in Nandos Medium marinade (1/2 syn) for tonight which I'll have with SW coleslaw and maybe some garlicky, peppery oven baked new potatoes.

ChessieFL · 12/03/2016 15:05

2.5 lb off this morning, just 1.5 lb to target now!!

calzone · 12/03/2016 15:37

B....3 slices new Kingsmill crustless toast, 2 eggs, ham
Snack.....fruit and yoghurt

L....pasta with pesto and roasted vegetables

OP posts:
Buttwing · 12/03/2016 15:49

Wow Chessie you're so close!

Cwutches that's a fab weightloss.

Gah I'm not having a good day and it's my own fault, I peeped on the scales this morning which I try not to do. I've been on it 100% this week and the scales had hardly shifted. Was cross so had maltesers for breakfast, not a good start to the day!

EmilyK83 · 12/03/2016 16:17

Wow well done losers!!

Bit of a reality check here! Doing syn free pulled pork tonight...but still going to have to count Syns, as there's no way I can remove ALL of the visible far from the meat without cutting it into tiny cubes. Just need to work out how to syn it now...

BUT...check out this pic. This is half a pound of fat that I cut off before putting it in the oven (frylight bottle for size comparison). I'm never, ever going to complain if I only lose half a pound in a week!!
