Well done Katie & Emily - great news!

Just made a lovely chicken korma for dinner. Have tried the Hairy Dieters one (not great) and the SW one (much better but not quite creamy enough) so winged in.

Onion, garlic & ginger fried in Frylight - add korma seasoning, tomato puree and water, simmer and puree (not necessary but DD is a fuss arse when it comes to lumps of cooked onion Hmm). Browned diced chicken in frylight, added the paste, 2 tblsp light coconut milk and a small tub of quark & simmered.

Not completely syn free but tbh you could probably leave the coconut milk out if you were feeling really virtuous!

WipsGlitter · 03/03/2016 18:47

Do you think these Muffins would be free?

Katenka · 03/03/2016 18:50

I don't know if they are free. I do know they won't taste like muffins, though.

KatieT12 · 03/03/2016 19:06

The cooked bananas will have Suns

KatieT12 · 03/03/2016 19:06

*syns

sleeplessinmybedroom · 03/03/2016 19:57

It was my third weigh in tonight and I've lost 2lbs making a total of 9.5lbs all together. Am planning on having a day off on Mothers Day. I need to make sure I don't fall off the wagon completely.

Knitwitty · 03/03/2016 20:38

Joined the online plan this afternoon, so the plan is underway!

Are you lot sure that pasta is a free food?? Really?

BTW, Welsh, forgot to add it earlier, but 9lbs loss in your first week is totally amazing!

KatieT12 · 03/03/2016 21:22

Dried pasta is free, yes - so are dried noodles.

emwithme · 03/03/2016 21:33

Well done losers. I am not one of you this week, gained 1/2 a lb (not entirely unexpected after Tuesday night's binge - if it had been earlier in the week I could've pulled back my syns on the other days but not when it was 36 hours before weigh in!). However, I have lost 3 inches from my under-bust, 3 from my waist and an astonishing 7 from round my hips since June. My engagement and wedding rings now fit properly again and my watch (a metal strapped one) is a little loose (just the nice kind of loose where it slips a bit, nowhere near to removing a link though).

Have taken a food diary, in the hope that it will stop me bingeing later in the week - or at least if I do, I'll know how many syns I've consumed.

In the unpacking this week I have come across a folder with slimming world recipes in, ripped from old magazines the first time I did the plan. It's so old that not only does it have red/green days, syns are spelled "sins"! I had entirely forgotten that they were spelled like that (in 2003 and earlier).

I've also joined the social team at group, did the shop today which was fun.

Today's food:

Immediately post-weigh in: 2 x bananas, apple, hifi bar (1/2 HEB)
Lunch: Jacket potato (1 syn for butter), spaghetti hoops I had a craving and garlic mushrooms. Apple, satsumas
Pre-college snack: Mugshot (1 syn), bag of hula hoops (5.5 syns)
Mid-college break snack: Bag of Sour Cream & Black Pepper Proper Corn (4.5 syns), latte (HEA)
Dinner: Tuna steak, Birds Eye Mediterranean Rice pouch (1.5 syns), garlic mushrooms. Hifi bar (other 1/2 HEB).

calzone · 03/03/2016 21:47

B.....fruit and yoghurt

L....turkey mince, roasted vegetables, cauliflower sauce lasagne
Strawberry Mullerlight

D....chicken and sweetcorn thin HEB and ham
Salad
Quark, sweetener, hifi 3, squirty cream 2.5

Syns....small packet pretzels 5

Argh...am starving today because of stupid work schedule:

Had my usual porridge with honey for breakfast, jacket with beans for lunch and a fruit salad but had no time for snacks and still aren't home yet so had to just grab an M&S fruit salad to eat on the way home for dinner.

Should be home about 10.15pm and then back up at 5am Hmm

KatieT12 · 03/03/2016 22:03

I got slimmer of the week! :) but I couldn't stay for group :( I hope I still get the certificate and stickerGrin

BasinHaircut · 04/03/2016 08:13

Ahhhhh! Had a really bad self-sabotaging day yesterday which included biscuits and a takeaway pizza! DH had a hangover and I was just stressed.

Anyway I weighed myself this morning and it seems that 2 bad days = + 5lbs!!!!!! I know that's probably bloating from the salty takeaways (and I need to, ahem, you know) so probably not that bad really but it has given me a massive shock.

Today I'm going to be really good I promise. We go for our weekend away next Friday and I was hoping to be 11st for that. I was only half a pound off on Sunday! I know that's going to end in a gain so can't start at 5lbs over where I wanted to be!

Breakfast - weetabix and skimmed milk

Not sure about my other meals yet but they will 100% be on plan and I'm going to stay below 5 syns per day all weekend.

Kim82 · 04/03/2016 08:45

Urgh, I think this week is just going to be a write off and I'll take the hit with a gain. I've just eaten crap all week, it was my grandad's funeral yesterday and I had buffet food, wine and then a takeaway for tea when we got home as I just wasn't in any state to be cooking for the family. Today I go away for the weekend for a wedding (husband and kids staying at home) where all food has already been paid for from Friday night to Sunday morning so I know I'll stuff my face and be on the wine again all weekend. I can't make weigh in on Monday as I have a job interview so I'll weigh at home to assess the damage and try to get the weight off again by next Monday. Oh well.

Katenka · 04/03/2016 08:50

Well done to the losers!!

basin just get back on track and drink plenty of water. I am sure a lot of that will come off.

kim some days are just not compatible with eating well. I am sorry for your loss Thanks

BasinHaircut · 04/03/2016 08:55

Thanks katenka yes I'm sure at least most of it is a superficial gain but still annoying! If I'm completely honest with myself I've been sloppy all week so might have gained a little true weight.

Katenka · 04/03/2016 08:57

I came back off holiday (a week) and put on 10lb. But it went within a week. Some of it was weight but think a lot of it was bloating, water retention etc.

Just do what you can. I often find just being back on track makes me feel better.

Mummyme87 · 04/03/2016 09:03

I lost 1lb this week bringing me to a total of 1 stone 1/2lb and my first stone award. So happy after my so so bad week of pizza, cake, prosecco, chocolate fondant, fish and chips and nandos 😳

Lots of people at work keep saying I look like I've lost weight which makes me so happy, then another comes along and says my stomach looks like I'm having another baby 😫

To finish on a good note, my BMI has gone from over 34 to 33 exactly, and I'm 1lb off getting To the stone below range

Welshloser · 04/03/2016 09:21

I totally fell of the waggon last night, half a massive bag of chrisps, double cheese and live pizza and a donut. Actually feel sick :( and disappointed in myself. Its that time of the month and all I want to do is eat. Back on it this morning, half a grapefruit, peach and passionfruit for brekkie. Salad and tuna for lunch, and last nights dinner chicken stuffed with pesto from the slimming world plan for dinner.

going to try get some exercise in too....fingers crossed I can limit the damage by Monday.

So annoyed at myself!

longlivetheking · 04/03/2016 10:07

Doing a little NSV dance as I warily bought some size 12 trousers yesterday and I'm wearing them this morning!!

They're Gap ones and I don't usually shop in Gap so they may be generous but I'm a happy girl.

BasinHaircut · 04/03/2016 16:39

I've been really good today.

After weetabix for breakfast I made leek and potato soup for lunch which would be syn free. Had 1 slice of a small loaf so 3 syns for that.

Dinner will be spag Bol which will also be syn free.

Got my circuit training class later too.

Good first day back on the wagon.

Got a tea party for my friend's daughter tomorrow so got to try not to eat whilst I'm there. Will

BasinHaircut · 04/03/2016 16:40

Oops! Will have a SW fry up for brunch and then it's over lunch time so shouldn't need to eat.

AvaLeStrange · 04/03/2016 16:46

Nice one Basin.

Back on the straight and narrow here too.

Coffee & Alpen light first thing

Brunch - bacon, mushroom & tomato omelette

Mid afternoon - minestrone mugshot and an apple

Dinner will be roast gammon, SW roast pots and cauli, broccoli & leeks in cheese sauce - and debating whether its worth the 9 sins per portion to make it properly, or whether to just melt some quark & low fat cheddar together in a pan for mine Confused.

Katenka · 04/03/2016 16:57

Breakfast - fruit salad

Lunch - chicken in spicy tomato sauce with mange tout and butternut squash and cheese (HEA)

Dinner - Chinese. But they make SW friendly so I just have to count the oil. Beef with noodles. It's usually 6 Syns

HEB 2 hi fi light

BasinHaircut · 04/03/2016 16:58

Use quark Ava, you will feel virtuous!

I did also today discover DH's little stash of empty chocolate bar wrappers. He swore to me he wasn't cheating so I'm a bit sad about that. I feel for him though he wants me to think he is doing it, but I've long since suspected he is a secret eater.

I'm going to speak to him tonight and see how I can help him. If the way we are doing it isn't working for him he needs to be honest and we can adjust. If I don't know he is having a 12 syn chocolate bar every day then I can't help him stick to plan and within syns.
