Weigh in this morning and another 2lbs off so I'm pleased 😃😃
Hopefully getting a weighted hoop tomorrow??? Hope the furniture can stand it!!!

StayGoldPonyBoy · 25/01/2016 18:44

Hi there, I joined online threeish weeks ago (3rd weigh in on Wednesday) and I've been lurking since then but have decided to join in!

I'm not new to SW but it's changed a bit since I did it last. My start weight was 13st8 and as of last weigh in I'm down 4.5lbs! I was hoping for 2lb off per week so I'm happy!

I'm an obsessive weigher so I've enlisted DH as the gate keeper to the scales so I can only use them on weigh days.

I want to be down to 10.5 stone by my holiday in June and I've also joined the gym for the first time in two years!Grin

Todays food-

B Hex B porridge with water and cinnamon
L Home made 'Naked Burrito' spicy chicken, rice, black beans, salad and chunky salsa - syns for guacamole

WI day for me - lost 3 lbs - consider myself lucky as I sinned on Friday big time - ploughing through a bar of dairy milk😱. Think going to the gym helped though. Have lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks - much better than I would on a rival's diet. Just hope I can keep it up. Have been good today.

B Fruit and fibre, milk and OJ

L Veg soup and yoghurt

D Chicken Rissotto, pud - berries, yog and meringue.

Have a great week everyone.

Heyheyheygoodbye · 25/01/2016 20:54

B - banana and apple. Tea milk hexa.
L - two egg muffins, Pops 4 syns, cherry toms. A muller with raspberries and half a pack of M&S mini lemon meringues 3.5 syns.
D - cha han donburi! My fave Wagamama dish! But made with frylight, so synfree :) Another Muller.

pillowaddict · 25/01/2016 21:21

Hello, I'm brand new to this thread and to SW. Joined last week and have my first weigh in on Thursday. Dreading it!! I can't get my head around things at all just yet so veering between erring on the side of caution and only eating fruit and veg and massively overdoing it on wine at the weekend Blush Do people find it easier to learn all the syn values etc first or write down what you eat as you go to work it out afterwards? I need to up my exercise and start to get serious about this diet business, determined this year will be the one I get good and healthy!

ginorwine · 25/01/2016 22:00

I notice that some folk only have a few Syns - whereas I always have around 13 to 15. - this is ok isn't it ? I don't think I could cope otherwise anyway !!
Did anyone else get grumpy first few weeks ??? !!!

Ain626 · 25/01/2016 22:18

I weigh in tomorrow, think I'm going to be disappointed judging by my cheeky step on the scales today. Should at least still be something off, just not as much as I would have liked. I've been doing pretty well with what I've been eating and only snacking on free things (or very low syn, did you know the key lime pie muller is delicious and 1 syn).

But I think my problems this week may have been missing meals. I've been so busy I've skipped lunch 3 times, and I never eat breakfast. But what I have been eating is mostly sp most days..

Guess will have to wait and see what the scales say tomorrow.

B - nothing
L - nothing
D - chicken and ham salad (lettuce, peppers, sweetcorn, carrot, rocket, spinach, watercress) with a few new potatoes and a bit of cheese (HExA).

Syns today - 1 for the muller and I had 189ml carton of semi skimmed milk, so we'll say 5 for that (5 syns is for 200ml). It was the milk or a banana or nothing mid afternoon when I was feeling a little hungry and I really don't like bananas!

FannyFanakapan · 25/01/2016 23:03

b: BLT on wholemeal thin (1s mayo)
L: afgan carrot hotpot (2) , rice, mango chutney (2)
d: Bubble and squeak pattie, veg, smoked haddock, poached egg. Alpen light bar.

tabulahrasa · 25/01/2016 23:10

Gin - I have them all, very rarely do I have less than 15 and yep it's fine.

cowboylover · 25/01/2016 23:12

B; Homemade Oat cookies HEB
Lunch; Carrot and Coriander soup
Snacks; Strawberries and apples
Dinner; Beef and Bean with swede and carrot mash on top with cabbage
Treats; Hot chocolate and chocolate Santa

8 Syns for the day and have the plan for tomorrow so I am hoping for a good result on Thursday.

I feel like I have been stuck at the same weight and size for a while so I want to change that or I will get too comfy at the size I am now rather than the drive to be smaller that I had.

TouchTheFrog · 26/01/2016 00:54

Hello to all the newbies from a newbie!

Cowboylover I can completely relate to that wolfing down chocolate without enjoying it. I haven't eaten chocolate yet for fear of losing control and falling off the wagon.

I think I also need to stop weighing myself during the week at home. I'm now convinced I haven't lost anything this week. Went to a party on Friday, the food was carved meat and salad so think that was ok. Also met a friend for tea tonight and had fish but think the syns would have been high. I'm fine on plan when I stay at home but that's not realistic long term

calzone · 26/01/2016 07:18

Frog.....maybe have a couple of days where you don't have any syns so that if you do go out you you can flexi syn.

OrianaBanana · 26/01/2016 08:38

I will come back then calzone!Smile

SP today and tomorrow as it's weigh in day on Wednesday and I might possibly get a maintain if I'm good from now on Blush

B - coffee (HExA), satsuma
L - ham salad, lots of speed veg
D - Not sure yet. Possibly a spag Bol with lots of lentils in my portion, pasta for everyone else, and whatever speed veg are in the fridge (I think broccoli, carrots and mushrooms).

Snacks will be just fruit/sugar snap peas, and my caramel hifi (HExB), unless I'm really tempted this eve: I've used enough syns on previous days that I'm already over my weekly allowance...Hmm

OP posts:
knowler · 26/01/2016 10:34

Half a pound off today which I am a bit disappointed with, but at least it's going down. And a stone and half a pound less than I was on 1 December!

WheresTheCoffee · 26/01/2016 11:10

I like the sound of flexible syns! I'm in my first week and have been ok at home etc but I'm going to pizza express on Friday so I'll try to save some up 😊

Pisghetti · 26/01/2016 15:16

I've used flexible Syns a couple of times where you keep counting up to a higher limit and carry on as normal for the rest of the week and it's worked out fine. If I have a night off then it all goes to pot.

I've been messing around losing and gaining the same couple of pounds for ages so it stops now. I'm making sure I have speed with every meal (simple things but I'm terrible at it!) and I'm writing everything down.

Today is:
B - cherry yogurt, apple, banana, clementine
S - 2 x hifi bars HeB
L - homemade quorn lasagne (1 Syn and HeA) with speed veg
S - mug shotz
D - at mum's - guessing homemade vegetable curry and rice

Buttwing · 26/01/2016 17:59

Hi all not posted for a bit but have been quietly lurking.

I'm finding it hard going at the moment I really wanted to have a good week this week (weigh in tomorrow night) but it's not really happened. I go from being 100% on plan to falling off big style.
Pisghetti I feel the same I'm still losing (the huge amount of) weight I put on over Xmas.

I think I'm finding it hard because I'm not actually looking that chunky now. I've lost 3 and a half stone and I'm now a size 12 but I really want to get to my pre children weight which is still a stone and a half away. It's not so bad at this time of year when everything is covered but I know when the weather gets warmer I will be gutted if I'm not where I want to be.

I've got three nights out in the next five days which is unheard of! I'm planning on staying on plan for two of them and having a drink on one of them.

maygirl · 26/01/2016 19:08

Hey Buttwing, you have done so well! Maybe inspire yourself by getting out some of your old clothes and seeing how far you've come! Then something in the size you want to get too, to see how close you really are!!
Any non-scale victories? For instance this week I noticed a definite reduction in inner thigh chuff rub Blush! and my tongue looks healthier!!

blondiep14 · 26/01/2016 19:11

Only a half off for me today Sad

I don't deserve any more off after some picking at chocolate and being out Saturday night and Sunday lunchtime. Still annoyed though!

Busy weekend again this weekend coming up so must try and remain on plan more Hmm

Heyheyheygoodbye · 26/01/2016 19:12

B - banana, two satsumas, tea milk 0.5 syns
L - cha han, apple
S - babybel burgers hexa, with cherry toms and cucumber. Muller and raspberries. Ketchup 2 syns.
Syns - Choceur bar, 11 syns.
