I'm definitely getting rid of the scales. DH had moved them from their "this weighs EXACTLY the same as the scale at Fatfighters" spot and now I can't get them back on that spot. Moving 1/2 an inch either way makes me gain/lose half a stone. FFS (at myself) I know better than this. Just follow the plan, do it properly, don't weigh mid-week and I lose weight.

Today's food:

Breakfast (I was actually up at a reasonable hour!): Bacon, scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomato. Tassimo latte (2 1/2)
Lunch: HM soup (roasted butternut squash, sweet potato, courgette, onion). Satsumas.

Dinner: Sea bream (or sea bass? Something fishy that starts with a B), new potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli.

Snack: Hifi bars (HEB)

I've also done 30 minutes on the exercise bike and got a job interview for Friday. I've not worked for a while due to ill health, but I'm retraining and happened across the perfect job at the weekend. I had a quick phone call with them at 10.30, updated my CV and sent it to them at 11, and had a call at 2.30 offering me an interview!

Good luck Em!

Buttwing I know how you feel and I knew it would happen. I always go a bit crazy as I'm getting near goal. Lose all motivation. Don't know what to suggest to help except as has been said to look at how far you've come and find some way to visualise where you want to go?

Buttwing · 26/01/2016 21:09

Thanks may and pisghetti. I think I'm just cross with myself!! I'm going to be as good as I can over these nights out then I'm on it!!

What would you do in my shoes? I've not had the best week and I think I've had about a pound gain(ish)
I'm going out tomorrow night for dinner and drinks and I can either-

Go to usual group tomorrow on my way out get weighed and go (I'm wearing jeans and stuff which will heavier than my usual weigh in outfit of leggings and a vestBlush)

Go to a different group and stay on Thursday (don't know anyone different consultant)

Sack it off completely and go next week (a bit dangerous)

I'm so bloody indecisive at the moment think I'm having a mid life crisis!!

Ain626 · 26/01/2016 21:14

I don't know what just happened... I got slimmer of the month for January! How did that happen?

Down another 2 today.

If I manage to keep up my current trend I will have dropped a decent amount before my next fertility consultation meeting (which is what they've asked me to do, I have pcos and I want clomid, they wanted me to drop some weight first). I am actually feeling positive!

Welliesandwings · 26/01/2016 21:32

emwithme · 26/01/2016 21:33

Well done Ain !

Buttwing - I would go to group on Thursday, you've had your night out, then you can take the gain (if there is one) and then get back on the horse again.

FoofFighter · 26/01/2016 21:42

Buttwing · 26/01/2016 22:24

Thanks guys, bloody dp has just announced he is boxing on Thursday do can't go then will go on my way out tomorrow.

oneowlgirl · 26/01/2016 22:57

I lost 3lb this week so very pleased with that. Just need to stick to plan!

BasinHaircut · 26/01/2016 22:58

Congrats ain! That's great!

B - porridge (HEA&B)
L - leftover lamb casserole, green beans and rice
D - smoked fish florentine stack
Sn - pear and banana

DH and I are having an Indian takeaway on Saturday night if we both lose something this week as a treat.

DH decided to do his BMI today online and I think he has shocked himself a bit. He was surprised that he is classed as obese, even though I've been telling him for a couple of years now that he needs to do something about is weight. Hoping it will encourage him to stay on track.

Pastitso for dinner tomorrow and I can't wait!

LazyCake · 27/01/2016 00:01

I'm not surprised you're pleased, oneowlgirl - 3lb is great weight loss!

Now I am feeling all envious and wishing that I hadn't spent most of the week gobbling pizza.... I am hoping that joining this thread will get me back on plan!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 27/01/2016 07:05

1.5lb off this week, I'll take that! Means I'm FINALLY back to my pre-Xmas weight )I put on 4lb that week), and I've lost 8.5lbs since I started in mid-November. Not great! But I'm sure if I hadn't started SW I'd have weighed even more than when I began by now. Anyway, now the only way is down :)

wowser3 · 27/01/2016 08:38

Well butt, I'd go to tonight's group if I were you. Perhaps take some leggings in a bag to weigh in , instead of your jeans?

Well I am in a quandary myself. I'm going on a dream holiday in 2 weeks (shame I'm not my dream weight , but can't put life on hold until I'm slim!!) so, for a week , what do I do? Take my trusty note book and continue to try to syn and track everything? Or relax and have the beers / desserts etc? Want to enjoy myself , but don't want to ruin my slimming world either :(

AN1971 · 27/01/2016 09:39

I've been doing SW since July and lost 1s tone 7lbs, I put 5lb back on over Christmas and am really struggling, I have only lost a 1lb since going back and I am so fed up of salad I am ready to give up. Need some motivation and inspiration :-( Sorry to be a moaner, just not sure what to do

mangofizz · 27/01/2016 09:43

Wowser I always find that if I give myself a free rein on holiday then I control myself very nicely. A few years ago I had been on a pre holiday diet and lost 4lbs during a 2 week holiday to vegas! I usually keep wary of bread & carbs, always have a diet option drink (even with alcohol) and if I want a dessert dont have a starter or have a 'bad' main course.

Buttwing · 27/01/2016 10:59

Thanks wowser that's what I was thinking its in a hotel so I can get changed in the loo!

I'm the opposite of mango if I give myself free reign I go crazy!! I put on 9lbs in a week on holiday last yearBlush

It did come off very quickly though, I would probably be a bit half and half as mango said no point going and not enjoying yourself but I wouldn't want to gain loads either!

mangofizz · 27/01/2016 11:28

Lol Buttwing, I spend all my time on holiday sunbathing too so I probably lose a pound or so to sweat!

Pisghetti · 27/01/2016 11:55

It's weigh in day tomorrow and I'm really hoping to be back to pre-Christmas weight. I didn't even put on much I just haven't done anything about it Blush

Today is:
B - breakfast trifle (like overnight oats but with weetabix and vanilla yogurt) HeB
S - banana, apple, clementine
L - mishmash stew (bought a casserole pack in aldi, boiled it in stock and threw random stuff I didn't know what else to do with at it - quorn meatballs and green lentils and herbs)
S - probably a mugshot....
D - quorn gammon (1 Syn) with swede chips, sprouts, broccoli, SW BBQ sauce and some cheese HeA

cowboylover · 27/01/2016 12:08

Buttwing well done at least for thinking of your options, I agree skipping a week is a dangerous plan, for me at least because I can't seem to make sure I get back on plan after.

Yesterday was going to be an SP date but a late invite for a meal out changed my plans but had gammon with jacket potato and salad so still on plan. Was the first time I think in 11 months I didn't have my A choice.

Home from work today so had a big cooked brunch and planning for later Carrot and coriander soup with late lunch and Diet Coke chicken with cauliflower rice when my husband finishes work at 8pm

Weighing tomorrow evening and just want to get on with it!

Akire · 27/01/2016 12:29

Weigh in week two. Lost 2lb so that's one pound put on week one. But been under weather so didn't eat yesterday so think where other pound has come from. Knowing my luck eat today and put it back on so by morning I be exactly where started 2 weeks ago :(

wowser3 · 27/01/2016 13:25

Cheers guys. I think for my holiday I will not take my tracking book, but maybe still be healthy where I can. Going to Norway, and most of the trips I have booked on include this special Norwegian cake to eat, and I doubt I'll be made from oats and muller light :) I'm sure there will be some great fish up there , im on the coast , so I can I can be healthy, apart from a few beers :)

Akire , trust that it will work if you stick to it x
