em is there a trick when freezing the yoghurt? I tried it and it turned into an ice cube! How log do you freeze for? And do you stir?

Pisghetti · 08/02/2016 08:59

I'm wearing my cheerful back to work face Hmm

Have to fit food around antibs which need taking on an empty stomach so can't mindlessly graze all day! Today looks like....

B - caramel oat and courgette muffins HeB, 3 x Babybel light HeA, arla protein pot (1 Syn)
L - leftover SW curry and rice, apple, banana.
D - LM sausages, cheesy mash (2nd HeA), broccoli, lemon jelly with raspberries (2 Syns)

OohMavis · 08/02/2016 09:36

What do you do when you're just not hungry?

Been feeling like this for a couple of days and I've been having to force meals down me. No appetite at all.

wowser3 · 08/02/2016 10:19

Meh. Rather disappointed to see a maintain at my Saturday weigh in. It's rubbish. I must admit that I have got a bit confused with healthy extras this last week. I had it in my mind that 40g of cheddar was healthy extra A when its 30g. So I've been Having 40g and then sneaky milk in brews on top of
That! Must try harder. Although, I'm going on holiday on Thursday so this week I'm am relaxing myself a bit. Not going to go
Crazy but I won't be counting syns this week.

Pisghetti · 08/02/2016 12:16

Mavis (not a problem I have often admittedly) but I'd try and make sure you're getting something healthy in you - you're pregnant right? Or have I mixed you up with someone else! Make up some veggie soup and have with a slice of cheese on toast (HeA and HeB), chop up some salad veggies and snack on those with a dip? If it is a pregnancy thing then you might find your appetite comes and goes - just eat when you can in that case x

Kim82 · 08/02/2016 12:20

Hi everyone. Just back from my weigh in and I've lost 1.5lb taking me to a 15lb weight loss over 5 weeks and I have my stone award. Woohoo!

OohMavis · 08/02/2016 14:24

Well done Kim!

You're probably right Pisghetti, I'll likely be ravenous again next week. Maybe it's the ridiculously hungry stage of early pregnancy starting to wear off, getting ready for the next one Grin

FoofFighter · 08/02/2016 14:58

congrats on losses and bfps :)

Back on plan and already running to pee every ten mins!!

B: HEXB 35g Shreddies, shape yogurt, blueberries, apple
L: hm green split pea and ham soup, (had extra veggies in too) an apple
t: stuffed baked red pepper with savoury rice, mushrooms, onions and HEXA cheese

eventful half hour here, anyone a member of SYNS ALLOWED FB group?

I just pointed out they had wrong syns info on about Subway salads, and they went and banned and blocked me for it! WTF!

Then when two friends also pointed out the same, and why did I get banned for that, and they lied and said I left myself, they banned them too! WTAF?!

Reported them to Slimming World!!

BasinHaircut · 08/02/2016 15:02

Mavis agree you need to have something. Make sure you are getting your healthy extras.

Must be hard trying to diet when pregnant. I remember losing appetite and so I just ate whatever I fancied (within reason).

emwithme · 08/02/2016 15:22

Fooffighter it all kicked off on there about midnight last night - Joyce posted something about no one helping on the daily post (You know, the only post people are "allowed" to post on) - some people mentioned that in all the pictures etc the daily post can get buried but she went off on one about how nobody is helping etc. Lots of people told her to calm her tits and she took it all the wrong way and the BanHammer was wielded with giant effect. Someone has started a spin-off called "Syn Together, Slim Together".

basin it does set like an ice cube! I freeze them as soon as I get them, then take them out about half an hour before I want them, so it softens a little but I still need to scrape at it so it takes about 10 minutes to eat!

Today's food:

Brunch: Bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomato.
Snack: Satsumas, apple
Pre-college: SW carrot & coriander soup
Dinner: Cajun chicken breast, rice, salad.

HEA milk in coffee
HEB hifi bars

BasinHaircut · 08/02/2016 15:26

Oh I thought maybe you just froze them for a couple of hours or something! I might have an experiment at the weekend and stir and test it every so often and see if there is a magic time in which it gets 'set' but not completely frozen.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 08/02/2016 16:04

Got some Gap size 16 jeans in the post today and they JUST do up, how depressing! I wouldn't wear them as not comfy and big muffin top, so going to slim into them as my first small goal. Up til now my goal has been 'get to a size 14'.

BasinHaircut · 08/02/2016 16:33

Today is looking like this:

B - weetabix and milk

L - mini roast chicken dinner (leftover meat, veg, spuds, gravy)

D - Pastitsio and a big salad.

Sn - banana and a satsuma.

BasinHaircut · 08/02/2016 16:33

Oh and a circuit training class.

Mummyme87 · 08/02/2016 16:46

Had lunch at a soft play today and they had no jacket potatoes!!! Ended up with tomato and basil soup which had actual tomatoes in and a smal toasted panini roll. This was the best I could do. Ok I could have left the panini roll but I don't think the soup would have filled me

EmilyK83 · 08/02/2016 17:09

Well done losers - and yay for more pastitsio Basin!! Grin

Well...I'm weighing in tomorrow morning so am drinking lots today to try and...Erm...make sure I'm flushed out so to speak by 9.30am Grin

Today looks like this:

B - 2 satsumas, Muller light

L - radishes, carrot sticks, pickled onions, beetroot, leftover baby potatoes from yesterday, SW hummus, chicken, tomatoes, 3 extra light laughing cow (1/2 HexA)

D - 3 veggie sausages (1.5 Syns) with baby potatoes and tons of veg

Snacks - 2 Alpen Lights (HexB), hot chocolate made with milk (half HexA plus 2 Syns), and probably a mini milk ice cream (1.5 Syns)

BasinHaircut · 08/02/2016 17:46

Ha ha Emily we are loving it. Its coming out once a fortnight at the moment.

FannyFanakapan · 08/02/2016 18:34

Evening all. I'm having one of those crazy manic days - not helped by DD still not able to mix with other kids post op, due to infection risk, so she is stir crazy and I have cabin fever...

Anyhoo, today shaping up like this:

b: pear. Toast. 1 laughing cow triangle (1), pastrami, egg, salad leaves.

l: salad, crustless quiche. Melon, banana, grapes and a muller.
d: A hodge podge. Took out something unlabled, assuming it was one thing, and it wasnt. And I didnt fancy what had defrosted, so had some cold leftover pork, an apple, a babybel light (2) and a tin of sardines! Healthy huh!

Might have something else later.

FoofFighter · 08/02/2016 18:46

Never seen any trouble on there before, been a member for months, feeling rather aggrieved at being treated that way!

Re Ice cream - you can pop the yogurts into a maker and do it that way ;)

Fanny, I'm always doing that, they all look the same brown and mincey!! I should invest in a sharpie really.

still on plan! woo!

TheFridgePickersKnickers · 08/02/2016 19:09

Had a good weekend away - mums apple crumble and custard was the only fly in the ointment but my syns the rest of the week have and will be minimal,so Im hoping to get away with it.

Today:
B: Porridge HEXb with raspberries
L: Fresh fruit salad - kiwi, strawb, melon, pomegranate seed and apple
T: SW Chicken Tikka Massala ready meal with 70g of boiled brown rice and rocket salad.

Got fruit and 0% total on standby if I get peckish this evening.

AtAt · 08/02/2016 20:14

Calzone suggested I post this here...

I joined SW end of May, and have lost 3 stone in weight. I am currently 15 weeks pregnant, and my will power has just disappeared! I really don't want to undo all the hard work I've done so far, and end up the size I was before. I know and fully expect to gain weight, but I keep having takeaways, crisps, biscuits, all sorts of bad stuff! Today I tried to make syn bags, but ended up eating lots of the sweets I'd bought to make them. Please give me a stern talking to....

Charley12345 · 08/02/2016 20:35

Hiya!

I've started slimming world today! I want to know what everyone's success has been so far and their experience! I'm so so excited but need that bit of encouragement and support too.

Good luck everyone!

Buttwing · 08/02/2016 20:59

Evening all I've been good today but mainly because I've had a dodgy tummy and not really fancied much.

B-nothing

L-half a baked potato and beans

D- soup

Welcome Charlie I've been doing sw for just over a year and joined after having dc3 and dc4 very close together. I started with 5 stone to lose to get me down to my target of around 9stone 12. So far I've lost 3 stone 9 lbs. I've done it quite slowly as I refuse to stick to plan when I have nights out or holidays life's too short!!! However that said I'm on a mission to get to target now as I'm going away in May.

calzone · 08/02/2016 21:07

Welcome AtAt.....and Charley.

Top tips.....

Meal plan
Write everything down and be honest
Make every meal delicious
Know your triggers and avoid them.
Surround yourself with all things SW related on FB, IG etc
Eat plenty
You should never be hungry so have a good breakfast and prepare healthy snacks you can munch on during the day.

I do think losing weight is about your mind and how you feel. It is going to be a way of life not just a 'lose weight and then go back to normal' plan. You have to really commit to it. There's lots of support here and no judgement.

Keep posting and be positive. :-)
