Thanks for the pep talk Calzone.

Was feeling bad after having a Chinese for DD's birthday but actually, breakfast and lunch were on plan and tomorrow although we are out for one meal, as you say, the others can be on plan.

The wine on the other hand.. Grin

BasinHaircut · 06/02/2016 20:41

Today I tried some of DH's Alpen light bars for breakfast. They are not good are they!

Lunch was SW hash brown, bacon medallions and beans

Dinner was SW chicken tikka masala (BTW it was EPIC!), basmati rice and spinach.

Snack - a pear and some strawberries.

Treat was 5 chocolate coins.

OrianaBanana · 06/02/2016 21:22

Just discovered Quorn cocktail sausages (I am not a veggie) for half a syn each. I love them! I love them more than normal cocktail sausages with chewy/gristly bits in them actually.

Today I have eaten too many pink wafers to be eating these as well, but it could be worse, and I'm back on the wagon tomorrow...

I've just found a new treat. Ice cream sundaes from Aldi they come in a pack of four and you get different flavours. They are around seven syns each but are a proper portion and really really good.

Wibblewobble100 · 06/02/2016 21:44

annatha · 07/02/2016 07:00

Got my 1st stone award yesterday! Yesterday was also the first day I didn't need to fill in the food diary sheets that you hand in, but I found it too difficult to track hexs and syns in a regular food diary so I've printed some SW style ones to stick on the fridge. So currently I use those to record my speed, free, hexs etc so I can see a breakdown of what I've had in a week and also a small week to view diary in which I write all my meals and snacks along with how much I've lost that week so that I can repeat good weeks and recognise my triggers.

OrianaBanana · 07/02/2016 09:07

That's a really good idea annatha and congrats on the stone! I'm starting a bullet journal which will include my food diary.

Today:

B - decaf coffee (with HExA milk), grapes, quorn cocktail sausages (2), 3/4 pink wafer (1.5)
L - poached eggs on toast (HExB) bit of butter (2)
D - remainder of spag Bol from last night with broccoli and salad, mullerlight

I'll try to fit in lots of speed around those.

Just found out I'm pregnant (I have my doubts whether I can sustain it but that's a whole other story) - does anyone know how the plan changes (if at all) if you're expecting?

xx

oriana fingers crossed for you Flowers. No idea about SW and pregnancy but I think there is someone else in this thread who is pregnant.

Weigh in today lost a pound. So that's 11lb so far since 2nd/3rd January.

DH put on half a pound though. He swears he isn't cheating and so is only eating same as me. He weighs 4st more than me so has a lot more to lose. Any ideas (apart from that he is secret eating)??

I try not to have many syns on a standard day. Do you think that maybe I should be allowing him a bit more?

KittyOShea · 07/02/2016 10:35

Morning all

Been a bit off track recently then got back on it (but ruined it again by having takeaway last night)

Am going to New York on Saturday for a week- anyone any advice in terms of eating out (never mind huge American portion sizes)

Overall though I have to stay positive. I am 3 stone and 4 pounds lighter than I was in June. SW really got me back on track. So this week and after hols I'm strictly back on it. Only 10 lbs to go to target

OohMavis · 07/02/2016 10:48

Congratulations oriana!

I'm nearly 12 weeks pregnant. You'll notify your group leader and she'll give you a form for your midwife to sign to say she's happy for you to continue (which she will be, my midwife was actually very supportive). You'll get a form to complete at each midwife appointment to make sure it's going well and you're healthy.

You'll get two A choices and two B choices rather than your normal one of each. Your group leader will probably ask you to fill in a food diary each week to keep an eye on you, and if you lose a lot (I think mine mentioned over 7lbs in one week!) she'll ask you to go back to your midwife and review your food diaries.

I'm 3 stones overweight so I'm really hoping being on this plan will help me gain the bare minimum this time round.

cowboylover · 07/02/2016 10:57

Argh birthdays are hard!
You don't need to hear the list but think it's about 50 Syns but I enjoyed everyone of them so I am moving on and as Calzone said concentrating on the 3 meals in the next 4 days that I can be on plan.

FoofFighter · 07/02/2016 14:11

I need to be beaten with the stick VERY HARD.

So angry with myself for slipping.

Anyway, am going to sit and menu plan and do the food shopping this afternoon.

calzone · 07/02/2016 14:13

Ooh congrats on stone award and congrats on the new pregnancy!!

Kim82 · 07/02/2016 17:05

Congratulations on the stone award and the pregnancy. I'm hoping for my stone award tomorrow morning - fingers crossed!

My menu today has been:

Brunch - bacon, eggs, grilled tomato, mushrooms and beans

Dinner - roast pork, SW roast potatoes, boiled potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and sprouts - just in the middle of cooking this, I can't wait, I'm starving!

I've been for a big, long 3 hour walk through plantations and to the park with the kids so have done plenty exercise!

EmilyK83 · 07/02/2016 17:13

No breakfast again today - oops. Rubbish at eating breakfast at the weekends! Big picky lunch though...here's today:

B - nothing

L - radishes, carrots, tomatoes, cucumber, gherkins, beetroot, chicken slices, quarmite (first time I've tried it - hooked already!), SW hummus and a few baby new potatoes

D - Going out tonight to a place that specialises in pizzas and pies. I'm ordering a salad...

FannyFanakapan · 07/02/2016 17:17

oriana, congratulations!

foof we all have bad days (and weeks). You have to remind yourself how far you have come and remind yourself that you are aiming for a healthy lifestyle moving forwards, not a quick fix starvation diet. SLow and steady.

I am finally back where I was on 10 December, having lost over christmas and then got a bit daft.

If I can recommend batch cooking if you can - just because if you have something in the freezer, or in the fridge, you are less likely to eat crap because you are hungry and dont know what to eat.

Kim82 · 07/02/2016 17:32

What is quarmite?

BasinHaircut · 07/02/2016 19:26

Today:

B - toast and Dairylea light (HEXA&B)

L/D - roast chicken, SW roast potatoes, swede, carrots, parsnips, cabbage, broccoli, small bit of stuffing, gravy

Treat - Magnum

So probably went slightly over on syns but only had 2 meals so I'm comfortable with that.

calzone · 07/02/2016 19:30

Kim.....

Quarmite is my brand new invention of Quark mixed with Marmite to make a delicious savoury dip.

My SW consultant told me to enter it in the #freefoodfeb competition as it has really taken off in my group.

Mummyme87 · 07/02/2016 19:54

Arghhh went for a walk today..coffee shop and couldn't walk past the home made shortbread. I did half it with OH but still 🙄

Met with a few friends at Harvester for lunch today. Was good!

Lunch: Salmon fillet with mango zing glaze, dirty rice, griddled pineapple and sweet pepper, three trips to the salad bar - and no coleslaw, potato salad, bacon bits, croutons or ranch dressing! No dessert but latte to finish (HEA milk). Not sure how many syns but it was relatively low calorie according to the website and was very tasty.

Dinner: Roast beef (still needed to feed DH etc), yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, carrots, cabbage, proper gravy. Satsumas. Muller greek yoghurt (coconut, frozen).
Snack: Hifi bars (HEB)
