Love the jar/glass idea. Will steal that I think!

Last 2 weeks I've only lost half a pound so have felt a bit deflated but shifted 1.5 this week, and for my stone and a half award so back to being motivated.

Need to go back to writing down and also making sure i have enough speed foods and a bit of variety.

FannyFanakapan · 02/02/2016 19:41

evening,

B: Toast and butter (2)
l: Salad, leftover teriyake chicken (2). Muller
d: SW spag bol. Piece of chicken.

pear; orange; 2x satsuma, 2x apple.

I have resisted the hot cross bun which is calling my name.....Its one of the few things I reallly find hard to not have. BUt at 10s plus butter - I will have to wait for Easter Sunday!

OohMavis · 02/02/2016 19:53

So it turns out KFC drumsticks are a mere 5.5 syns each. I had two for dinner alongside salad and SW chips. Best 11 syns ever!

OrianaBanana · 02/02/2016 19:56

Pastitso was lovely! But I think I'll use lamb mince rather than quote next time.

I have done nothing but eat today, all on plan but I feel like a whale and I seem to have put on 2.5lbs. Wish I'd eaten that sticky toffee pudding and double cream at the weekend - I heroically resisted it, all for naught it seems...

oriana careful if you use lamb mince as unless you can find extra lean it's not free. I use beef.

OrianaBanana · 02/02/2016 20:08

You're right, I was going to look for 5% fat but as I don't often buy lamb I don't know how readily available it is x

OP posts:
BasinHaircut · 02/02/2016 20:28

Maybe someone else ones if/where it is available??? I'd love to know TBH.

Today has been good and I'm treating myself to a fudge bar. Yum!

B - porridge with skimmed milk
L - falafel, cous cous and salad (prob 0.5syns for cous cous)
D - cauliflower white sauce macaroni with bacon medallions, 2.5 syns worth of cheese and a big salad.
S - banana and pear. Fudge (6syns)

EmilyK83 · 02/02/2016 20:47

Well done on the loss blondie!

Re: 5% lamb mince. I've not seen it anywhere yet, but you could ask your local butcher to mince some extra lean lamb for you?

In other news, I discovered that the buttery frylight works well sprayed on jacket potatoes when cut open - and quark is a more than suitable substitute for sour cream on top of chilli con carne!

maygirl · 02/02/2016 21:38

I've not found 5% lamb mince and think it would be £££s . Back in the old days before you could get 5% mince SW and WW plans had you defatting it, which works for meals like Bolognese, but not burgers/ kebabs. Dry fry it then drain off all fat through a sieve. DM used to take it a step further and add cold water to the dry fried mince and leave till the fat solidified in white blobs and skimmed it off .What a faff! Glad we can get lean beef mince easily these days!!

maygirl · 02/02/2016 21:44

Sn cold pasta leftovers
Curly wurly (6) few grapes

calzone · 02/02/2016 21:56

Banana

L....vegetable soup with spinach, strawberries and quark, apple

D....spicy cauliflower rice with turkey and salad

Syns.....

Jelly 0.5, yoghurt 0.5, Nakd salted caramel bites 7, pitta bakes 5.5

cowboylover · 02/02/2016 22:12

Wouldn't want to say Dry February will defo help you loose more weight but alcohol can be high in Syns and I'm a dreadful hangover snacker so it's the next day I struggle with also.

Can't stop eating carbs at the moment!

B; overnight oats and blackberries
L; crust less quiche and spinach with a Mullerlight
D; Chilli with rice and mango for pudding.

Syns for Hula Hoop Puffs

Should have been exercising tonight but I am shattered tonight so as much as I can do not to snack never known a class!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 03/02/2016 07:57

So last week I lost 3.5lbs, my first loss of the year. This week I gained 3.5lbs :(

BendydickCuminsnatch · 03/02/2016 08:08

Oh I feel very sad about it. Today I'm going to have:

Speed day:
B: eggs on toast
L: salad with ham and maybe another HEXB bread, HEXA cheese
D: chicken stir fry, no noodles, maybe courgetti
Snacks: maybe a yoghurt (syns), fruit

Does any of that sound wrong?

BendydickCuminsnatch · 03/02/2016 08:23

So I've been doing SW since mid-November and I'm only 6lbs down.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 03/02/2016 08:29

Sorry meant to say ^^ so I feel like I'm missing something BIG! Online member so don't have a consultant.

BasinHaircut · 03/02/2016 08:30

I can't really advise on the speed day as I'm not 100% sure how they work but try not to feel too disheartened!

My DH stepped on the scales this morning (I told him off for weighing mid-week) and he is apparently 4lbs heavier than he was on Saturday. Makes no sense.

6lb down overall is still better than nothing. And you have made healthy changes to your overall diet that will pay off loads long term.

Have you kept a food diary? Can you see where you might be able to make further changes?

OrianaBanana · 03/02/2016 08:33

That looks fine bendydick - good idea for an SP day. Did your group come up with anything to help?

Today is difficult as I have a work lunch and appear to have gained 2.5 lbs (sorry I weighed myself but I didn't say fuck it!).

B - banana, coffee (HExA)
L - work lunch, will try to food optimise
D - free food night at group so will just eat that, will bring some carrot sticks and fruit for speed. If I haven't had HExB I might eat a caramel hifi.

Will make some marinaded chicken drumsticks and free hummus for group tonight and take those along.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 03/02/2016 08:36

Thanks Basin and Ori. I don't have a group as I'm an online member.

I am going to be allowed to start exercising again soon hopefully (post-DC physio) so hopefully that will help although I do tend to get muscle quickly so don't want to gain even more.

I just thought if you're big you're meant to lose weight more quickly! I started at 15stone 2 :( my mum was way lighter than me to start with and dropped 2.5 stone very fast, that's why I joined! Wail wail wail.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 03/02/2016 08:36

Will deffo do the food diary this week!

BasinHaircut · 03/02/2016 08:46

When you are doing the diary you need to remember to write down every morsel that passes your lips (including drinks!). Post it on here every evening and People can tell you if they can see something really obvious that you can change.

Last week DH and I let our portion sizes creep up a bit and weren't being as vigilant about making sure we ate our speed food. wasnt until I thought about it and looked back over what we had eaten in previous weeks that I realised what had happened.

OrianaBanana · 03/02/2016 09:07

Food diary is a good idea - be absolutely honest! Include lots and lots of speed, and quite a bit of protein.

Are you taking measurements? Sometimes measurements can be motivating.

Find something that weighs 6lbs - it's actually quite heavy. I am the same, floating round the 1.5 stone off mark. Sometimes you just stall, for various reasons - but keep going, it will come off and then you'll be flying!

OP posts:
OohMavis · 03/02/2016 09:14

Today will be:

B - Banana, apple and muller light
L - HEXB wholemeal wrap with scrambled eggs and roasted red peppers, maybe some cheese.
D - Chicken curry with spinach, steamed rice and broccoli.
Snacks - More fruit.

blondiep14 · 03/02/2016 09:59

Thanks Emily!

Into the next stone bracket, albeit the top end and I want to be bottom end! Still, it's going the right way.

Trying to up my exercise as well (not too difficult as currently I do zip!)
