Basin I am in!

I have 4 birthday parties in February including mine so I really need to be on plan when I can, no just thinking it will be ok to have a few extras or whatever because it really won't!

Any loss this week will get me in a new weight bracket but I'm so nervous because I have got here twice before and blew it AngryBlush

Today I had
B; Bacon and Egg sandwich on HEB
L; At my inlaws so Fish, boiled potatoes, sweet corn and carrot. Then desert 8 Syns but I enjoyed it and turned down the Heros after.
D; Beef and mushroom stroganoff with broccoli and ribbon pasta.

Did my exercise DVD tonight as well, aiming for my Bronze body magic award and with my DH away all week I think tiring myself out before I go to bed on my own might help me sleep so fingers crossed it helps with the loss as well

BasinHaircut · 01/02/2016 06:39

Ok here we go NFI Feb is here!

Just booked into a circuit training class for tonight too. I've been dying to get back to regular exercise but the universe seems to be against me with injuries and illnesses. BUT I have the added incentive now of DH and I deciding that we are probably going to TTC DC2 later this year and I want to make sure I'm in good shape before we do to minimise weight gain damage.

Today will look like this:
B - weetabix with skimmed milk
L - leftover mini roast dinner (chicken, swede, cabbage, parsnips, carrots, potatoes)
D - SW falafel, savoury rice and a big salad.
Sn - 2 pieces of fruit (to be decided)

Haven't weighed myself this weekend due to a sneaky weigh in last Friday (had maintained), and subsequent McDonalds and Indian takeaway.

We are resetting our portion sizes this week and upping the speed food.

would be more than happy with a pound loss this week.

OohMavis · 01/02/2016 07:15

Been lurking, finally posting! I'm really struggling with my appetite.

11 weeks pregnant and hungry ALL THE TIME. Seriously, I know they say eat as much free food as you like, but I'm not sure they mean creating a food train and having it choo-choo into your mouth 24 hours a day Blush

I woke up last night at 3am and finished off a punnet of red grapes. So hungry. But I've been pretty 'good' and kept within my syns, so who knows?

I'm going properly shopping for the first time today, we live a way from the supermarket and I've been making do with what's on offer at the co-op. On my essentials list is cooking spray and quark. No more measuring mls of oil!

Weigh-in is Friday.

calzone · 01/02/2016 07:31

Welcome one and all to a new month of February.

Call it what you will. Free Food February, NFI February.......we all want to lose weight.

I need to get my 3 stone award this month. Have had enough of losing and gaining the same few pounds.....

Am on it.

Have a great day everyone and keep posting.

((Basin is in charge of the stick this month......))

Mummyme87 · 01/02/2016 08:13

Mavis, be careful of the grapes. Too many grapes turn into syns due to high sugar content

wowser3 · 01/02/2016 08:34

What's 'the stick?'

WeShouldOpenABar · 01/02/2016 08:40

I had a hard enough weekend with my birthday but was expecting it so was good on the lead up and have a mostly sp week planned until Thursday weigh in , id be happy with a STS

I think that a lot of people are experiencing the first bump in the road as I was this week. I need to stay on course and not fall at the first hurdle this time , i'm going to refocus for no fuck it feb!

Heyheyheygoodbye · 01/02/2016 08:49

Yesterday was:

B - big bowl of cut up fruit; Muller
L - chicken breast, cheese on toast hexa and hexb, pomodorinos, Pops 4 syns, curly wurly 6 syns
D - SW kebab from the fake away book (really nice!) with wedges and a huge salad. Ketchup 2 syns.
Muller with raspberries, meringue nest 2.5 syns.

BasinHaircut · 01/02/2016 08:57

I'm not sure I want the stick! Sounds like a lot of responsibility Grin

I'm a bit new for all that

Mummyme87 · 01/02/2016 10:13

Going to a friends for lunch. It will not be sw friendly

EmilyK83 · 01/02/2016 11:15

I don't understand what the big fuss about Mugshots is. Just tried my first one (tomato pasta) - it was vile! Won't be doing that again!

Today's plans:

B - satsumas, herbal tea

L - probably a BFree wrap filled with random fridge contents

D - pulled chicken chilli with rice and veg

Managed to finish yesterday on 2 Syns, which is amazing for me! I'll probably grab a skinny latte later as my HexA, and syn with chocolate...

WeShouldOpenABar · 01/02/2016 11:24

got bullied at break because I refused to eat the birthday cake that was bought for me. How can other people get so annoyed about what I put in my mouth, they still got to eat the cake!!

emwithme · 01/02/2016 12:01

I quite like the roast chicken pasta and the chicken noodle mug shots. They're great for nights I have my college course, just enough to keep me going to a late teatime so I don't buy all manner of crap from the vending machine. The noodle one is 1/2 syn and the pasta one is 1 syn.

I am very much up for No Fuck It February. I have started as I mean to go on, and am about to get on the exercise bike for half an hour (or I will once the kittens have stopped having zoomies).

Brunch: Bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, beans, tomatoes. Coffee (HEA milk)
Snack: Satsumas, apple, Mugshot (1). Hula hoops (5 1/2)
Dinner: Cajun chicken breast (1), rice, side salad. Yoghurt (1/2)
Snack: Hifi bars (HEB)

Akire · 01/02/2016 12:20

Question re online members site.
I open page on iPad comes up with white page and black tabs above with lady in blue dress on. I click log on then

Opens in red slimming world tab with only drop down menu bar. I then after spending hours trying get back to main site -
Click on weight loss planner
Click on open weigh loss planner button at bottom as this page has just picture of food -
Then opens out in middle of create your own extra easy plan page
Then have to click at top to "go back to slimming world"

Then FINALLY I'm back in the main page grey/white with everything that you actual want to look at. Driving me nuts.

It's in browser not App is this the same for everyone?

Akire · 01/02/2016 12:33

Another question thought I understood then write on website and now more confused so

Extra easy SP is basically protein and free but extra healthy b ? Totally missed that that makes it much easier.

Extra easy SP is same but extra healthy A for calcium? But then it says switch to more S and P foods in regular extra easy days. Thought whole point of extra easy was you just had S and P so cutting out carbs bar healthy b?

tabulahrasa · 01/02/2016 12:45

No that's not what the website does for me, on an iphone or a computer...don't know if an iPad would be different?

Extra easy is the normal slimming world plan, one third S foods alongside free foods, 1 A, 1B and syns.

Extra easy SP is only S and P foods with at least half being S, no free foods that aren't S or P and 1 A choice and 2 B choices and then syns.

If you're doing extra easy SP longterm they recommend another A choice as well.

If you're doing extra easy you can add in more S foods without going full on SP and it'll probably boost your weight loss.

Akire · 01/02/2016 12:54

Thanks tabula no hadn't realised the whole plan was called Extra Easy just seemed lots of confusing jargon.

Makes sense when you see it written like that. I have really struggled because practically lived on bread before so just one large or two small slices of healthy B been difficult.
But if can do 2x sandwich say plus big salad and fruit that would be easier on days can't face cooking. With say cheese health A and protein in another?

EmilyK83 · 01/02/2016 15:46

The way I understood SP days is that half of every meal should be speed, half protein. And then your HexA somewhere in the day, and two HexB options. No other free food, apart from store cupboard staples, but you can still have your Syns. Or maybe I'm wrong... Grin

ChessieFL · 01/02/2016 17:13

That's exactly it EmilyK83

calzone · 01/02/2016 18:47

The big stick is what I bring out metaphorically when you are all giving up, messing about and being apathetic to the plan......

......I wield it menacingly and you all get scared and start drinking water and being good! :-)

Akire · 01/02/2016 19:17

calzones going be busy

FannyFanakapan · 01/02/2016 20:00

A weird day as I had DD in hospital for an op today, so my lunchtime didnt happen and tea was rushed affair, with me with no energy or inclination.

b: toast, eggs, tomato, 1 laughing cow light triangle (1), ham
l: 20g cheese (4) , 2x satusuma
d: tin of mackerel in morrocan sauce (1); sw chips, beans and eggs. Muller.

EmilyK83 · 01/02/2016 20:25

Hope the op went well, Fanny.

Haven't posted any food pics for a few days, so here's dinner: chilli made with chicken instead of mince, rice and spinach...

Made slimming world falafel for dinner. If you haven't tried it you should. Delicious!

Hope your DD is ok fanny

cowboylover · 01/02/2016 21:05

Hope it went well for your DD.
Where did you find the recipe Basin?

B; Overnight oats with raspberries
L; Left over Stroganoff with pasta and broccoli
D; Quiche with SW chips and spinach

Been a very carby day! Just thinking I have not had Chilli for a while so I will have one tomorrow. 2 Syns today for sauce and jelly but not feeling satisfied.
