Weighed last night. Had put on half a pound. Left in despair and went to chippy on the way home. Wailed to DH about how crap my losses have been since Christmas...while stuffing chocolate in my gob.

Woke up this morning resolved to get back on it and got a text from group leader that I won slimmer of the month! How??? Can only conclude everyone else's January has been even crapper than mine.

So let me be a lesson to you about throwing toys out of the pram Blush

BasinHaircut · 29/01/2016 14:31

weshould don't give up! calzone will be along with we stick to see you soon I imagine!

hey that made me giggle! Well done on slimmer of the month.

On a similar note I weighed myself this morning (should weigh on Sunday really) and I haven't lost this week yet. And we have promised ourselves a takeaway on Saturday if we both lose this week. I felt so deflated that I had McDonalds for lunch! Took DS and wasn't going to have anything but as I have nothing in for lunch I thought 'fuck it' and had one too. 31 syns for chicken sandwich and medium fries apparently Blush

emwithme · 29/01/2016 14:40

The whopper was FUCKING GORGEOUS. Best use of 30 syns this side of alcohol. I was thinking of having a chicken wrap but then I thought "Fuck it, I will kick myself if I don't take the opportunity". So I did. But I only had a single rather than a double and didn't up-size the meal.

Had an interview this lunchtime - sounds really like the kind of job I want. They've said they'll let me know by the end of Monday either way, so I shall be attempting not to bite my nails all weekend.

Today's food:

Breakfast: Apple, pineapple, plums, banana, yoghurt.
Waitrose free latte while shopping (HEA)
Lunch: Bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomato.
Dinner: Cod & chips (5 syns), salad, peas.

Snack: Hifi bars (HEB)

Well done on SOTM, hey and welcome sounbelievablydull. It takes a couple of weeks to get into the swing of things but after that it's one of the easiest "diets" to follow

cowboylover · 29/01/2016 14:48

I hope it went well and fingers crossed for you Monday em

Lost 2lb at weigh in last night so that's 4lb total in January which should be better but could be much worse!

Today
B; Toast and coffee
Chocolates 4 Syns
L; Mango
Dinner; not sure what I will have out later but going out for DH birthday and promised I will have what I want and not what's best for plan with him and wine. He's so supportive but doesn't want me to miss out on something I would want because we have been talking about this restaurant for ages!

Planning my meals for the week ahead before I go food shopping but will be a bit different this time as DH is away for the week so just me and DD to cook for so I can see a lot of left overs for lunch coming up Smile

Akire · 29/01/2016 14:49

We are all eating it emwithme

FannyFanakapan · 29/01/2016 14:55

1lb off, which puts me back at pre xmas levels - again.

Sigh. I hope to start proper losing again this week - motivated and must stop mucking about!

FoofFighter · 29/01/2016 15:10

And this is why weighing in ahead of time is shit - it makes you think feck it, I haven't lost so might as well go to McDonalds... it really does more harm than good.

Let's have a pledge for February - no more sneaky weigh ins!! Go and get someone to hide your scales, put them in the boot of the car or something...

Sorry I don't post every day but when I do come on I do read everything!
I do put all my pics on instagram though daily.

anyway, today:

B heb porridge, apple, plum, pear
L broccoli and potato fritatta, baked beans, bowl of frozen berries and a Mullerlight
Snack: Rice pudding - made it with my hea skimmed milk, sweetener, vanilla and salted caramel essence YUM
D: Bisto cauliflower cheese 1.5 syn the pack, spinach and pasta

BasinHaircut · 29/01/2016 15:41

I know foof! I'm not weighing again until nex week now. And absolutely no sneaky weigh ins in Feb!

I do think I've been a bit complacent this week anyway. Having max amount of syns a few times and not having enough speed food so my portion sizes have been a bit off.

I'm still recovering from a sinus infection too so haven't been able to get to the gym which is disheartening. I'm going for a swim in the morning though, and I'm going food shopping so will do a kick-ass super good meal plan for next week tonight.

Still gonna have my takeaway this weekend because if I don't I think I might waiver next week.

I'm still 10lbs down this month though so overall it's been a good month. Setting myself a goal of 4lbs by 11 March so would be a stone overall.

EmilyK83 · 29/01/2016 16:05

Well done hey, cowboy and Fanny! Nice losses!

Well...we were supposed to be going out for dinner tonight so I'd saved some Syns...but the bf now has some horrible vomiting bug so that's not happening! Still going to be good though...

Today:

B - 2 satsumas and a Muller Light (standard)

L - HexB wrap filled with cottage cheese, tomato purée, lettuce, baby spinach, red pepper and spicy chicken! Tasted a bit like a fajita! Beetroot on the side, and another satsuma

D - making Big Mac in a bowl for the first time, and going to attempt to make swede chips for speed...

maygirl · 29/01/2016 19:12

Hi all
B lf yogurt and raspberries, syrup (0.5) HeA milk in coffees
Cherries, tangerines
L Jacket with prawns in sw Marie rose sauce (1.5), salad
D, one of my favourites , southern style chicken with buffulo sauce (Oct 2015 mag), (under 2 syns as used less polenta), sweet potato chips, sweetcorn, beetroot, carrots .
Planning on heB later in form of a wholemeal thin 'mince pie' for a couple more syns. Out tomorrow with DH for dinner, hope I don't mess up, last few weeks have been my best so far in nearly 6mths if SW!

EmilyK83 · 29/01/2016 19:28

Made the Big Mac in a bowl...and I love it! Cheese is my HexA and 3 Syns for the thousand island dressing. The swede chips were actually pretty good too!

I didn't do the buttermilk sauce but love the buffalo sauce, I use Franks Red Hot Wings for the hot chilli sauce, it's 0.5 syn for 3 tbsps

Yoghurt (1)

Snack.....packet of beef

D...pulled pork (6) Jerusalem artichokes, carrots

BasinHaircut · 29/01/2016 20:53

B - porridge

L - chicken sandwich and medium fries from McDonalds (31 syns Blush)

D - pulled pork with syn free coleslaw and syn free BBQ sauce, sweet potato wedges.

So not a great day, but could have been worse I suppose!

Just planned next week's meals. Lots of veggies in there and will cut down my portion sizes a bit.

BasinHaircut · 29/01/2016 21:00

Oh and can anyone recommend some nice low syn yoghurts?

I don't like muller lights, like something a bit thicker. I like the activia creamy ones, they are 2.5 syns. Anything lower syn worth a go? Was thinking of the whipped ones (like a mousse?)

ChessieFL · 29/01/2016 21:02

The Muller Greek style are only 0.5 syn a pot and are thicker than mullerlights.

emwithme · 29/01/2016 21:04

They also freeze really well - the coconut one is delicious and almost bounty-ice-creamy.

BasinHaircut · 29/01/2016 21:08

Bounty ice creamy you say? I'm sold. Is that whipped or normal Greek yoghurt?

calzone · 29/01/2016 22:02

Liberté yoghurt are 1 each
