4lb off this week! One more 1lbband I get my first stone award. I'll be honest. I can't tell.

kateconlan13 · 10/07/2013 19:33

Hi all,
I dont drink alot of water either but i drink plenty black tea with just a sweetner in it, i also drink a few cups of green tea because they say its good for boosting the metabolism ( think mine is sleeping ha ha )

kateconlan13 · 10/07/2013 19:36

Well done Fookinell, i know what you mean about favourites, thats what put me off going to class years ago, thats why i,m trying it myself at home. Well done to you too HolidayArmadillo.

kateconlan13 · 10/07/2013 20:21

Well done to you all that have lost, Brilliant efforts.

TallyBear · 10/07/2013 20:52

Well done Fookinell. I was the same this week. Lost 3.5lb, no clue how (see previous post!!) Reached my 1.5 stone award and my target weight (cue much celebration). Only thing is I still have 2 weeks left of my countdown. Consultant is going to check what happens to it. I did want to move my target down but apparently once you've reached target it can only be moved by 7lb and I don't want to put it down by that much, although before you reach it you can move it by whatever you like. However, I have a plan...I'm going to ask to move it down by 7lb, hey presto I'm not in target anymore and I can move it back up 3 or 4lb!

Had BBQ on sat, helped that I was 'in charge' but I managed to do it for 7.5 syns. I did low fat burgers (1), lamb steaks, chicken/veg kebabs, salad, BGTY coleslaw (3.5), potato salad (mayo = 2) tomato relish (1) and wholemeal roll (HEB). Got two this weekend but not hosting so not as much control.

kateconlan13 · 10/07/2013 21:07

Hi TallyBear,

Your BBQ food sounds delish and well done.

muminthecity · 10/07/2013 23:56

Well done to the losers. Has anyone read this week's SW magazine? I'm going to have a go at a couple of the recipes from it this week. The tomato tart looks really nice (I think I'll add mozzarella to it as my HExA) and the Moroccan couscous and chickpea salad looks good, so I'll try that too.

Had a pretty good day today:

B - Banana
L - Chicken noodle salad
D - Salmon and light Philadelphia in filo pastry (3) with potatoes and salad
S - Satsumas, Muller Light, Walkers crisps (6.5 I think?)

SalaciousCrumb · 11/07/2013 07:10

Hi all not been on for a while. I am hoping for a good week....

Last week when I wi I sts. This week I gained 1lb Sad

4lb weight loss so far.

Got back from group last night and stuffed my face too much, but I want to put it behind me, keep a food diary and stick to it exactly this week. Have a wedding to slim down for and I will be really fed up if I don't do it.

fook shame about your group. Can you go to another one? Well done on your 3lb loss.

Tally well done on your loss

Holiday well done almost at your stone!

One kick up backside needed for me. I am going running this evening (or a slow slope!) that should help Smile

Fairygen · 11/07/2013 07:53

Morning, well, at last the dreaded wi day has arrived. Can't wait to start a fresh week.

We're planning another BBQ this weekend, and I'm determined to be completely organised this time. There's no way I want to be in the same position next Monday. I found Linda McCartney vegetable burgers which are slightly better than the quorn burgers and they're free!!

I tried the diet coke pork, with chicken instead and it was lovely.

fook, I'm quite lucky, my group is nice. There are a few who could talk for England, and tell us the ins and outs of everything that's passed their lips all week. I hope you can find a better group to go to.

IsaacCox · 11/07/2013 08:00

Well done on all the great losses! :)

I've weighed in this morning and have put on 1lb. I really expected it be waaaay more. I need to lose 2lb this week to get a stone.

Huffpot · 11/07/2013 09:15

Weighed in last night and by a miracle STS so am in Isaacs boat...1lb more to my stone!

obrigada · 11/07/2013 10:08

Morning all, have been very hit and miss with SW online so have made the decision to join class next Tuesday. The SW consultant is my sister's sister in law and most definitely not one of my favourite people but from what I hear she is good at her job, so am going to bite the bullet and join up.

Fairygen · 11/07/2013 14:10

Obrigada, I followed the diet online, and struggled. I'd lose one week and then put on the next, etc.I need the fear of the weigh in to keep me on track, or get back on track if I'm bad. Tbh, of I wasn't going to group there's no way I'd have been so strict this week (after a blow out).

Fairygen · 11/07/2013 14:10

*if I wasn't going to group

obrigada · 11/07/2013 14:36

Fairygen, that's exactly how I feel, I need to be accountable to someone other than myself and I need the support.

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/07/2013 17:08

well done all the losers Grin keep up the good work :)

sal, you and i are the same yo yo'ers but we will get there i hope lol

Weigh In tonight, not feeling positive as AF is due & I feel horribly bloated Hmm
Still hopefully it will come off next week!

TallyBear · 11/07/2013 22:00

Fairy I like the sound of the free Linda Mc burgers but I can't find them online at tesco :(.

I like going to group too. I've never stuck to something for so long. Our consultant says 'when you gain weight you need the group, when you lose weight the group needs you', so true. My motivation is my weekly weigh-in and celebrating/commiserating with the others. Having said that, there is a core group who have been going a long time who all know each other really well and there are quite a few family groups who stick together.

MrsH Good luck, hope it went OK tonight....

Fairygen · 12/07/2013 07:40

Wooohoooooo!! -3 lbs last night, and slimmer of the week!!!!So chuffed, I could have flown home. Desperate to lose a pound next week so I get my first award. I'm convinced it's the red days that got the weight off.

I've noticed that they're really pushing the EE plan in group. This week someone said they were doing red and green days and the leader said 'any new members who don't know what red and green days are, don't worry about them, it's just an alternative, everyone does Extra Easy'. Admittedly EE is so easy, but for someone like me, who doesn't eat much pasta etc, red days are better for me, and I get a better loss.

tally, I got my burgers in Spar. Only got them because they were the nearest thing to quorn burgers, and couldn't believe they were free.

We have a few at group who have been going for years who quite often share private jokes, but they all seem to be pretty friendly. We don't have a permanent leader, so it's been a different person for the last 3 weeks. Although it's a bit of a pain, it means there's no favouritism.

IsaacCox · 12/07/2013 08:53

How did you do HelsBels?

Well done Fairygen :)

I ached SO much last night and this morning, in my inner thighs from doing those thigh weight machines things (technical term Grin) at the gym. I like aching though as I know it's working. Going again this afternoon.

Yesterday was:
B- 2 WW sausages 1 and fried egg sandwich HEB, ketchup 1
L- scrambled eggs with 2 more sausages 1 Blush (they're really yummy!) cheese HEA and yellow pepper, onion, jalapeños and tomato, ketchup 1
D- chicken curry and bn squash chips
Snacks- 2 mini pepperamis (cos I hadn't already had enough sausages! Hmm) 2, grapes, clementines, banana, 2 alpen lights HEB and 200 ml chocolate oat drink HEA

I'm really enjoying red days so far.

obrigada · 12/07/2013 10:06

Isaac, are you on permanent red days or do you intersperse with extra easy?

IsaacCox · 12/07/2013 10:12

I've been doing extra easy since starting and have only done two red days (today's the third) so far. I'm enjoying them and if I get a good loss next week I may carry them on :)

higgle · 12/07/2013 12:02

I have very mixed feelings about our leader. I pay my money I've lost lots of weight, so can't complain about SW. Apart from telling me she would telephone the first week, and then not doing so, or even apologising, I have not had a single direct conversation with her. As I'm vegetarian and have managed to modify most of my own recipes to be SW friendly I tend not to get much comment in the session.

It is the very overweight people who have large losses each week and those who can be relied upon to have been making things from recipes in the books/magazine that get invited to talk.

I also have some concerns that our leader is very overweight herself and seems to have put on a fair bit since I started. Anyway, this is not as negative as it sounds. Obviously the groups need to be structured in a way that promotes their aims and maybe the leaders are encouraged to highlight the big losses and emphasise the benefits of buying SW publications. If you just do as you are instructed you lose weight and eat healthy food. Over a period of time you forget what it was you used to eat before.

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/07/2013 12:19

sts -really surprised at havnt been very good - will try and make an affort this week :)

I lost 1lb. Am happy with that. Going to be a bad weekend slimming wise though as it's my birthday tomorrow. Am thinking of doing a few success express days to counteract. Has anyone else done these?
