Hmm, thought so Grin

pinkoneblueone · 24/09/2013 20:52

Well done on this weeks losses! WI for me tomorrow I'm hoping for a loss this week I've cycled over 100miles last week ran for 2 and started sit ups. 4 day ago to get rid of my tummy I eat tonnes so hoping all the exercise pays off!

Thesebootsweremadeforwalking · 24/09/2013 20:55

I've never actually worked out how to turn quark into an edible substance either, now I think of it.

beanandspud · 24/09/2013 21:08

Well done to the losers Grin.

Had another good day - sticking to the plan is SO much easier when DH is away and I can just suit myself. Made a vat of vegetable sauce in the slow cooker on Sunday with tomatoes, mushrooms, courgette, peppers and onions and have been having it for dinner with pasta or jacket potato with Parmesan as a HeA.

Just tried one of the Müller Light Special Edition Toffee yogurts - they are seriously grim - don't taste of either toffee or yogurt - yuk!

pinkoneblueone · 24/09/2013 21:35

I love quark as a creamy pasta sauce with garlic mixed herbs and chicken and mushrooms and onions mmmmm :)

Minimammoth · 24/09/2013 21:40

Wellllll. Lost 2lbs. Am pleased. The quark pasta thing sounds good, do you heat it or use cold Pinkone?

Thesebootsweremadeforwalking · 24/09/2013 21:43

How do you make your sauce, pink?

pinkoneblueone · 24/09/2013 21:46

I cook the pasta and then when it's almost done put time onion cooked chicken mushrooms garlic a bad herbs in to cook in a pan once pasta is cooked And drains I put it back in to the pot and add the chicken mix and the just add the quark and mix it through :) scram bran is not amazing but I don't mind it with quark and tomatoes or a home made salsa on it

beanandspud · 24/09/2013 22:00

Well done mini Grin

Darkesteyes · 24/09/2013 22:15

Well done on your losses. My first week back and second weigh and ive lost 3lbs With the 3 and a half i lost by myself beforehand thats 6 and a half in just over a month The hour long power walks must have helped So i will do my best to keep on with it. I find taking an mp3 player with me helps too. Madonnas You Can Dance album from 1987 is just the right beat for walking speedily.

Fairygen · 25/09/2013 09:41

Congratulations on all the losses!

blondes we call it skank bran at home, says it all really!! For some reason, it's always sold out at group???? Maybe they know something we don't.

Going to buy the new hi fi bar this week. It's supposed to be Xmas pud with brandy butter 'flavour' topping. The consultant was raving about them. IMO most things that include the word 'flavour' on SW end up being disgusting, but we'll see.

Churmy123 · 25/09/2013 13:37

Hi all
Can I join in this lovely thread? I've been going SW for 4 weeks now and have lost 13.5lbs so far. I am absolutely loving it. I'm never hungry and don't feel like I'm depriving myslef at all. I lost 5lbs in week 1, 2.5lbs week 2, 3.5lbs week 3 and 2.5lbs this week! So pleased! Hopefully will get my 1st stone award next week.
x

Thesebootsweremadeforwalking · 25/09/2013 17:24

Thanks pink, I'll give that a go.

Darkesteyes · 25/09/2013 18:39

Christmas pudding flavour hifi bars Yuck my consultant mentioned this too I cant stand Christmas pudding or mince pies (unfortunately they also had a mince pie hifi bar a few years back ....vom.)
Id rather use my syns for something else.

Ten years ago they had an Apricot and White Chocolate hifi bar...now THAT was really nice.

Thesebootsweremadeforwalking · 25/09/2013 20:11

6 Syns for a hifi bar or 8.5 for a flake? No contest Grin

beanandspud · 25/09/2013 20:47

Welcome Churmy and well done on such a great start.

Can I recommend my dinner tonight...

Had a bit of a clear-out in the fridge and chucked onion, leek, carrots, chunks of potato, mushrooms and low-fat quorn sausages (defrosted) into the slow cooker with herbs and stock. Left for 8 hours - really tasty with a side portion of kale!

I haven't tried hifi bars as I don't go to a group but the Alpen Light bars (2 for a HeB) are my staple snack!

pinkoneblueone · 26/09/2013 06:26

Measly 1/2lb off this week but a Loss is a loss so shouldn't grumble Grin need to stop over eating and I'll be fine lol.

Churmy123 · 26/09/2013 12:53

Sounds nice beanandspud! Will give it a go!

It'smy husbands birthday today so we are going out for tea! Dreading it as the 'child friendly' pubs never have any decent healthy options! :-(

It's all ribs, chicken wings and varouis other fried stuff!

Really don't want to fall off the wagon!

Hi been a bit wayward recently - from SW and the thread! I couldn't go to weigh-in this week as dh was away and I had loads of ferrying around to do wit the kids. I was really annoyed as I wanted to go. Of course, because I didn't go the inevitable has happened - I have allowed a few too many treats to creep in. The last couple of days I have tried really hard to stick to it. I'm struggling with lunches to be honest, I get bored of the same old thing. I also feel really hungry at the mo and I've not felt that before with SW. Tomorrow I feel could be a disaster. We are meeting up with some old friends and their kids at an arts festival and then going for a meal at one of those all you can eat world buffet places. Goodness knows what will be available!

Fairygen · 27/09/2013 19:29

Lost 1lb, by some miracle again. I definitely cheated the scales this week. Got my 1.5 stone award, but don't really feel I deserve it!

I'm really determined now, because I'm nearly at a weight I haven't been for 10 years! Going to try and eat more meat this week. I eat loads of quorn, mainly because it's quick and easy. The weeks I've eaten meat, I seem to lose more. I have no idea why.

I'm also going back to basics and writing everything down again. I find it too easy to lose track, or forget what syns I've eaten. Writing it down also makes me think more about what I'm eating.

Thesebootsweremadeforwalking · 27/09/2013 19:57

Fairy, my consultant always tells us to eat a protein at every meal, wonder if that's anything to do with the meat/ loss thing?

We went to the pub for tea. I had pudding - I like to keep counting when I do flexible Syns, anyone have any idea roughly how many Syns hot chocolate fudge cake plus a scoop of ice cream? I'm guessing maybe 35?
