I'll give them another go using less water and more gelatine then. I was disappointed when I was expecting haribo type sweets and I ended up with jelly :( They wouldn't even come out of the moulds properly. I still ate them though. Well done for losing 4lbs in a week- that's a really good amount.

Wow mumin no wonder you lost loads if you're doing that much exercise. There's no way I could fit that much in, even when I'm on holiday, I feel like I'm doing well to fit in some extra walking and a swim a couple of times a week.

TheDetective · 21/08/2013 22:47

I think I have plateaued. I am not sure if it is that I am not eating enough. Or having a 'blow out' after WI has stopped working.

Anyway, WI tomorrow, and I will have either gained slightly or STS. Last week I lost half a pound. But again I'd had to starve myself to get that off as I had gained the day before WI. The 2 previous weeks I lost 2.5lb then 3lb. Confused

So tomorrow night I am back to being angelic.

15 syns a day.

I am practically starving myself to try and get in to that next stone bracket, but it isn't fecking budging.

I am having around 1000-1200 cals a day. Syn wise I am having about 6-7 a day after using around 60 last Thursday.

Dizzydummy · 22/08/2013 00:57

Yay, just got to my 1 stone loss today, well chuffed, just 1 stone 4lbs to go Blush

Fairygen · 22/08/2013 08:56

Congratulations all, 4lbs is loads. dizzy, you must be chuffed.

I'm hoping to get my stone tonight. It has taken me 8 weeks, but I've lost every week apart from 1 sts and 1/2 on. I was a bit disheartened because I can normally shift a stone in 4 weeks (on WW), but would always be starving.

Last week our consultant had a printed out rows of smiley faces, one for each syn. I've found it really helpful this week, ticking them off as i use them. The whole weeks syns are there so if I've gone over the 15 there's still the rest of the weeks on the sheet. I don't feel like I've cheated, so not obsessing about syns constantly. I hope that makes sense!

Woman of the year tonight, so cooking today. Not good on wi day!!!!

Dizzydummy · 22/08/2013 14:25

Thanks Fairygen, if you get your 1 stone tonight then you will have done better than I have, it has taken me 9 weeks on the Original plan for all that time! I have a shocking metabolism and although I love the look of the Extra Easy plan, I know I just wouldn't lose weight on it.

Good luck for tonight!

Fairygen · 23/08/2013 07:55

Well.... -1.5 lbs, needed 2.5lbs for my stone ffs!!!

Had a lovely evening though, and now have some great new recipes. I came home feeling really positive.

I always pop into my parents on the way home. Mother asked how I got on and said "oh! I thought you'd lost a stone by now, I thought you were doing well? You normally lose a stone quickly on a diet, what's going wrong?"

I was furious! This coming from someone who could do with losing a couple of stone herself!

My response, " firstly, it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. Secondly, when was the last time you lost 13lbs? AND I AM DOING WELL!!!!

Deadly silence, enough said.

ShiftyFades · 23/08/2013 08:27

Well said you Fairy! 1.5 lb is excellent GrinGrinGrin

Huffpot · 23/08/2013 08:36

That extra pound will be off next week fairy and good on you for silencing your mum Grin

I put on 1.5lbs. I'm blaming being stuck at home with the spotty toddlers but also know I ate the wrong thing at times - I'm awful when I'm tired and shovel crap for energy

Still back on it this week!
B: Apple, toast (hex) & cuppa
L: Salad with chicken
D: Am thinking salmon with orange sauce

SummerHoliDidi · 23/08/2013 19:14

Well done for shutting your mum up Fairy. I think you've been going about the same time as me and we've lost similar amounts, I've lost 12lbs but should wi tomorrow (not going to as we're going on a family day out instead). I'm aiming for my stone award next week, that will be 10 weeks to lose a stone, which feels like a long time, but it's 1-2lbs each week which is supposed to be a healthy and sustainable loss - I know I would never stick to a plan which lost 3-4lbs a week for long.

Curlywurlysareyum · 24/08/2013 13:34

Hi all!!

Haven't posted since June as been on holiday and off the rails a bit!! Had lost 2 and a half stone but managed to put on almost a stone after eating and drinking too much on a lovely holiday (was away 4 weeks) !!! So I'm now back at having just under 2 stone off. Trying to be positive at how far I've come in a year instead of dwelling on going back up a bit!!

Found its taken me ages to get bk on track. Hopefully joining this again will help me (& I'm back at class)

I feel reading this thread inspired me so much that I just had to come back on it again. Plan to sit down tonight and read the past two months!! Look forward to getting new ideas as got fed up eating same recipes etc (think I need to start over and learn new recipes to get bk into it)

Just discovered 'Thai chilli batchelor rice' free with EE and delicious.

trinitybleu · 24/08/2013 14:15

I need to just accept I can't cook frittatas. They never cook through and then just fall apart. Taste ok though! Grin

Fairygen · 24/08/2013 19:54

trinity I feel the same about the magic pancakes, I've given up trying!

I've really got stuck in a rut with my cooking, so decided to cook something new every night this week. I realised, I had fanta chicken 3 times last week!!!!

Last night was chilli, jacket spud and salad. Tonight I made the mushy pea curry. It was interesting looking, but came together really well. It was delicious and really filling. The only problem is, it makes loads, so going to try freezing it.

Onion and mushroom fried in fry light
2 tins of mushy peas
1 tin of baked beans
1 tin of toms
Curry powder to taste

Fairygen · 24/08/2013 19:56

Oh, and I got a new job yesterday, so very happy!

I would like to say that I was the best candidate, but I think I was the only candidate!!!!!!

feelingfitter · 24/08/2013 20:00

Hi all

Another one who's been busy and hasn't posted in a while.

Almost at the 4st target and this wk I won my groups Woman of the Year.

Fair chuffed and makes all the effort worthwhile.

trinitybleu · 24/08/2013 22:05

Congrats Fairy!

Magic Pancakes sound foul, so won't bother trying them! Wink

Have done v well today, aided by a pot of spag bol I found in the freezer that turned out to be one of my best. Really rich and thick. Nomnomnom.

Curlywurlysareyum · 25/08/2013 11:19

fairy that mushy pea curry sounds interesting? What do you eat it with? Rice or jacket potato? I haven't had chilli in a while, so might try like that. I'm like you and eat the same things.
One of my favourites in 'spicy chicken noodles'

340g Chicken
1/2 tsp ground coriander
Pinch Chinese five spice
1 Clove garlic
113g dried noodles
1 tsp sesame oil
113g mangetout
1 red pepper
1 red chilli
1 x 2 1/2 cm piece root ginger
2 tbsp soy sauce
Seasoning

This is one of my favourite sw meals and so filling.

Curlywurlysareyum · 25/08/2013 11:20

feelingfitter wow! fab weightless!! U mst be so pleased x

Curlywurlysareyum · 25/08/2013 11:22

summer that's a fab weightloss in ten weeks. If I could get that i could be at target for Halloween! Must aim for it! 1-2 lbs a week is fab.

TheDetective · 25/08/2013 13:15

Thank fuck. Didn't use my syns on Thursday after WI and today 1lb 3/4 just dropped off the scales taking me to the next stone down bracket!!!!

Eeeeeeeek! That's 2 3/4lb off since Thursday. Come on body! Keep it up! Grin

Fairygen · 25/08/2013 18:36

curly I had it with rice and a side salad. Next time I would add some chicken and maybe some veg. It was really nice, but a bit like baby food consistency! I'm going to try your noodles tomorrow night.

feeling, what a massive achievement. You must feel, and look, like a different person.

detective, I'm definitely going to stop pigging out on Thursday night now!!! That's an amazing loss. Are you still calorie counting too?

Tonight's delicacy is going to be spring roll and salad. It's made with lasagne sheets so (apparently) is a tweak so should be synned. IMO, I'm having it as my meal, not a snack in between,so not synning it.

Hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday weekend x

Curlywurlysareyum · 25/08/2013 18:51

fairy just to let u know the noodle dish has 1/2 a syn (must be the sesame oil?) Suppose u could leave it out & use fry light but it does give it a lovely flavour

detective I so need to do that!! I went up a lb and a half after my wi on tues night as I pigged out. So it's taken me all week to get it off. Think I've lost 1 on top of that. Trying to be so good today. It's def hard work as I am constantly surrounded by 'syn' foods!!

holidaysarenice · 26/08/2013 00:51

Damn! i thought i had posted this!
after last weeks +2 jeans episode this week i ended up in hospital and went to weigh in and had lost 5....dear knows how it will average out next week!!

if i stick to plan, big if, as im at my parents then one more pound and it would by my stone aware....here's hoping.

well done to everyone else!!

TheDetective · 26/08/2013 00:58

I'm still loosely calorie counting in the sense that I know the cals of most things I eat and do a quick tot up my head. Sticking to under 1200 as much as I can!

:)

My bastard other half sat there Thursday night pigging out with a takeaway. I was so upset! He doesn't even cut down on syns for the week.

I may have called him the C word Grin. Hmpf.

Fairygen · 26/08/2013 08:00

Sneaky Monday morning weigh, so I know how much I need to cut back starve myself before thurday.

Wtf!!!! Nothing, nada. This is ridiculous! I've even cut back a bit on my portion size this week. I have suffered with, sorry tmi, constipation for the last 2 weeks. Have no idea why, I eat so much veg, beans, general fibre.

There's only one thing for it.....super speed soup, yuk!

Off for a long walk in the woods today so hopefully that'll burn some calories.

I've been a SAHM for a couple of years, so hoping that getting back to work will give me the incentive to shift this weight!

Curlywurlysareyum · 26/08/2013 10:23

fairy I feel your pain - I'm going to be lucky to have 1 off and I've written everything down and stuck to it! I really envy people eho ger big losses - it just doesnt happen for me. I eat way more fibre veg etc when sticking to it too and yet have same prob as u. Do u eat scan bran? I'm going to have some today. It's high in fibre and often does the trick. (They are gross though - like eating cardboard)
