Bit of a lapse yesterday - cake and chocolate! So need to be good for the rest of the week to see a loss!
Am also intrigued by syn free pancakes - please share!! Smile

iklboo · 12/08/2013 19:14

3.5 stone award tonight! Celebrating with a fish from the chippy and a cupcake (the irony is not lost but it's going on the diet sheet and I've got another week to work it off).

PrincessScrumpy · 12/08/2013 19:46

35g porridge (I used ready brek) - healthy extra
1 Muller light yoghurt (I used vanilla but it said any)
3eggs
Sweetener (to taste)

It said to mix yoghurt and oats then leave overnight in the fridge (I didn't do this)
I mixed it all together with hand blender then used a non stick pan and fry light.
I found they worked better as American style ones rather than the crepe like pancakes in the uk.
I sliced up a banana to put on top and some banana Muller light yoghurt.

detective I think we were separated at birth....I also have a cupboard full of tinned toms!!!!!

Well, totally balls up this week....

After my porridge fest, I was supposed to be going to a family bar b que on Saturday. I took Linda McCartney free sausages and trout, planning to have them with salad. It ended up raining so the bar b que was postponed and we had Indian instead. All planning went out the window and I ate so much I thought I was going to explode in bed.

Sunday, at the bar b que 2 burgers in baps, with relish, fell into my mouth, along with the planned trout etc. To finish it off I ate 2 huge slices of warm chocolate cake, with fresh cream.

Decided to have a sneaky weigh at home, and wish I hadn't. I now need to lose 5lbs by Thursday. Ooooops.

Fairygen · 12/08/2013 19:59

Congratulations iklboo

SummerHoliDidi · 12/08/2013 20:46

Well done Iklboo!!! That must feel fantastic. Enjoy your fish and chips.

I've been reasonably good today, mullerlight for breakfast, syn free chips and sweet potato chips with egg for lunch, then a pasta bake (cheese as he and 5 syns for the jar of sauce) for dinner and a Freddo (5 syns) as a snack. That still leaves my heb for when I have the munchies later.

I've been busy all day decorating, so that's got to count as a reasonable amount of exercise right? I've moved furniture, walked into town to buy paint (ok it's only a 5 min walk but still), painted the ceilings and walls of dd2's bedroom. I've still got the woodwork to do tomorrow but then it'll hopefully be finished and I'll have Wednesday completely to myself with no dcs and no more decorating :)

PrincessScrumpy · 13/08/2013 12:59

First week off to amazing start - 6.5lbs loss. Assuming most people lose more week 1 then it slows down. I had 1 stone to lose to only 8lbs to go. Probably be 1lb a week from now on though. Feeling happy but trying to resist "celebrating" as we have a family meal on Sunday - all you can eat buffet arghh! I also woke up with my first cold of 2013 which always makes me want to scoff. But I'm saving he for tonight so I can have alpen and milk.

Fairygen · 13/08/2013 15:30

Wow, princess, that's an amazing loss, and especially as you don't have loads to lose! Congratulations

muminthecity · 13/08/2013 15:52

Hello again everyone, I've just arrived back from a long weekend away with a friend. Had an amazing time but didn't stick to the SW plan at all. I chose healthy-ish food but drank shitloads of alcohol every day. Going to face the music and go to WI tonight, though I'm dreading it! Will be happy to stay the same or put on a pound, just hope it's not any more than that as I'm so close to my 4 stone award and don't want to mess up!

PrincessScrumpy · 13/08/2013 17:57

Thanks fairy - I lost 2.5 stone 18 months ago (after having twins) but never got round to losing the last half stone so now my weight has crept up again but I'm determined to get a grip of it... And can't afford a new wardrobe!

amouseinawindmill · 13/08/2013 19:28

help. I am in week one, was doing really well but today it has all gone to pot! I am feeling cross with myself. I miss bread! And biscuits. But most of all sandwiches. I am not organised, I haven't shopped properly so I am out of useful food, and I am about to have to bake a birthday cake for DS that I won't be able to eat.

I hope this is just a blip. I was really positive about SW for days 1-5 but day 6 finds me very grumpy! Did anyone else feel like this?

wanders off to grumble to herself

SummerHoliDidi · 13/08/2013 19:35

amouse it's ok - we all have blips, it's normal! Tomorrow is another day. You can still have bread, 2 slices of wholemeal bread is a healthy extra, use those to stick some ham and salad in to make a sandwich, it's perfectly fine. You can have biscuits and birthday cake too - just use your syns, you're allowed up to 15 a day. Look things up in the book or online, you'll soon get used to how many syns your favourite foods are.

muminthecity · 13/08/2013 21:10

Well I put on 2lbs which was to be expected really. On the plus side though I won the Woman of the Year award! Got a lovely bunch of flowers, bottle of wine, certificate and a sash. Really pleased with that, and it has given me the extra push I needed to get back on track this week.

amouseinawindmill · 13/08/2013 21:13

Well done muminthecity!
Thanks for the encouragement summer. I have given myself a talking to. Tomorrow is a fresh day!

SummerHoliDidi · 13/08/2013 21:30

Wow Mum fancy being woman of the year, get you! I bet you'll have those 2lbs off again next week too.

I thought I'd had a good day today, then I realised that I had actually been out for lunch with dp and although I made one of the better choices on the menu it still came in at 21 syns, so I'll just need to reduce my syns a bit tomorrow again. I did, however, do a fair amount of exercise, I walked for 30 mins to the swimming pool, swam for 30 mins and then walked the 30 mins back (that's a lot of time to be out of the house to do exercise though, I can't see me managing that when I go back to work in September). I have also painted a second coat of emulsion on dd2's bedroom walls, sanded down all the woodwork (by hand cos we don't have an electric sander) and then painted all the woodwork. The bedroom's looking really good now and I feel like all of that is exercise of sorts and has stopped me from sitting on my backside all day.

Littlemousewithcloggson · 13/08/2013 21:44

2 and a half stone award today - dont ask me how. Had 3 takeaways last week!

SummerHoliDidi · 13/08/2013 21:47

Well done littlemouse Grin

BethAndHerBrood · 13/08/2013 22:03

mum huge congrats! You must be so proud of yourself. Flowers

holidaysarenice · 13/08/2013 23:43

Aggghh I'm at my mums - not bloody sw friendly!! Too much cake, too many coffee shops!!

Can I cheat by going to a morning weigh-in instead of evening??

holidaysarenice · 13/08/2013 23:57

Can I ask what speed foods are too?

SummerHoliDidi · 14/08/2013 00:07

Speed foods are things that are even lower fat and calorie than the other free foods. When you eat the speed foods it supposedly fills you up quicker on fewer calories so it speeds up your weight loss. Anything with an s next to it in your book is a speed food, and ss means super speedy.

I think cheating with a morning weigh in sounds great. You'll be back to your normal group next week anyway won't you? My parent's aren't sw friendly either, and they should be cos my mum's doing sw! They just thinks that when we're around we need things like pizza and sausage rolls because that's what you feed people when you're 'entertaining', silly pair.

holidaysarenice · 14/08/2013 00:47

Thank you so much summer

I love your mum, doing sw and then feeds you synful food!!

We just need to stop going to yummy garden centres for coffee and cake!!

obrigada · 14/08/2013 09:27

Morning, haven't had a chance to read through thread but will do this morning, joined you all a few weeks back but fell by the wayside again. Am determined this time to take it seriously.

BethAndHerBrood · 14/08/2013 17:55

Can someone with access to the sw website tell me what the syns are for Kraft light garlic and herb dressing please?

Thankyou Smile

Fairygen · 14/08/2013 18:01

1 level tablespoon is 1 syn on all plans x
