Hello all, I've been rubbish since the weather became nice, I find even thinking about it when there's cider and ice cream to be had really hard ... But I've managed to only put on2lb even though I'm feeling so bloated with water retention, so it's time to concentrate again !!! Good luck all.

Fairygen · 09/08/2013 07:21

Congrats on all the losses x

I lost 3lbs this week and very happy. I worked really hard this week

3 is normally enough for SOW, so I sat there quite smug. The basket was overflowing with home grown fruit and veg, eggs, mugshots etc, much better than usual. As they went round the losses were 1-2lbs. Just before the end.....someone had lost 5lbs. Really pleased envious for her as she normal has really small losses, but slightly disappointed!

We did have a good laugh on the way home though.

Only 2lbs to my first stone, so got to work hard again this week.

Huffpot · 09/08/2013 13:48

Howdy all. I put on a half lb this week despite being good all week (star week) so came home and ate crap...then was sick all night from it Blush

Am now trying to be good to compensate

laughalot · 09/08/2013 20:49

Not been very good since my return from holiday so as of Monday I am back on it and my focus is to be nice and slim for my weekend away with my hubby in December.

TheDetective · 09/08/2013 20:53

Fairy someone in mine got 3.5lb to my 3lb this week. ARGHHH! Was gutted in secret!.

My losses are really gaining momentum now.

Last night I had a 3 course meal after WI.

Starter: Cake

Main: More cake

Dessert: Um, cake cake cake CAKE!!!

Oh it was fabulous!

What happens on Thursday, stays on thursday. Cake dinner now in the calorie black hole! Grin

SummerHoliDidi · 09/08/2013 21:45

Well done fairy and detective. 3lbs is a really good loss.

Huffpot Don't be disheartened. Some months I could put on about 3lbs just down to star week, so if you've only put on a half then to me that counts as losing 2.5 on a star week, if you follow my logic. It'll come off with extra next week as long as you don't go mad with eating rubbish because you're feeling sorry for yourself.

I've got terrible pmt and have had for a couple of days. All I want to do is eat, anything and everything, the fattier and sweeter the better. I really haven't done well yesterday or today, I've had ice cream, chocolate, cake, pizza. I'll just have to hope that I was good enough at the start of the week to minimise the damage from the past couple of days, but I'm thinking that the best I can hope for this week is to stay the same. Af isn't even due til Tuesday (if it's on time, which it regularly isn't), I hope it arrives soon cos I stop eating crap the minute it arrives (and I stop shouting at people too which would be nice Blush)

BethAndHerBrood · 09/08/2013 22:02

I just had a turkish delight mullerlite. Omg, delish! Shall definately be buying them again.

TheDetective · 09/08/2013 22:05

I'm sat here. Starving.

I've had my dinner (salt and pepper chicken with salad) at 8.30pm. By 9.30pm I had a massive slice of SW quiche.

And I am still hungry.

I'm on my period. This explains it.

But there is nothing in that isn't syns, and I have had 28 syns today already Blush a 11 syn chocolate bar and Mcdonalds chips with half a pot of sweet and sour sauce.

Add that to the cake I had yesterday, then I am now down to 5 syns a day til next Thursday now. Knobber.

What can I eat right now? :( HELP!

minibmw2010 · 09/08/2013 22:46

Nothing, go to bed Smile

Fairygen · 10/08/2013 07:50

Morning!

Feeling quite peed off with myself this morning. I normally have a mini pig out after weigh in on thurs night. Normally a couple of slices of pizza and some real coleslaw. I argue that it I can get away with it because I eat hardly anything all day before wi!!!

This week, I went home and made fanta chick, and a really small amount at that. Yesterday I was starving all day and pigged out on......porridge oats!! Not cake, or crisps, or cheese...bloody porridge oats with milk and sugar!!! So now I have wasted nearly a weeks syns on oats.

So the plan now is to not have any hexb all week, which I think is achievable because I normally use it for brekkie, and use as few syns as possible. It's going to be a long week........

SummerHoliDidi · 10/08/2013 09:23

Fairy it feels wrong to have used syns for something so unsatisfying doesn't it? At least if you'd had cake it would have been worth the syns, I don't think I could say the same about porridge.

I stayed the same this week, which is a bit of a result :) I'm starting afresh this week and will hopefully resist all the high syn foods I've eaten last week. I normally have a bit of a pig out on a Saturday after wi, but I have realised this week that it doesn't leave me with any leeway if something unexpected happens (like a bad back leading to pizza and chocolate Blush). So I'm going to try to use minimal syns all week. The dds are away with my parents this week, so I can just not buy any chocolate or crisps. I'm also decorating dd2's bedroom while she's away, so hopefully that'll be a decent amount of exercise.

TheDetective · 10/08/2013 15:02

Fairy I think you and I may actually be the same person. Grin

Although I didn't pig out on crappy porridge... you numpty Grin. Next week, make it worth while!

What happens on Thursday, stays on Thursday. That's my mantra Grin.

I've already had my 5 syns for today in the form of 2 jaffa cakes. I've got a 8 month old baby who has spent all day screaming while attached to me. And we have got NOTHING done.

I managed to throw in some frozen chicken fillets in the oven for lunch - yeah, just chicken. And they were crap :(

There is nothing in for dinner, nothing healthy at all. Not even a muller light or super noodles.

DP is in work til 6pm, and is going to have to get food shopping on his way home.

So dinner will probably be at 8pm again.

I'M HUNGRYYYYYYY stupid period.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/08/2013 15:46

detective, how about mug shots or batchelors rice/pasta with chopped ham/chicken in it

or an omlette with onions/peppers/mushrooms etc

all the above are free :)

OP posts:
Huffpot · 10/08/2013 17:23

I know didi
I restrained myself after making myself feel physically ill on Wednesday night
Back on track again now

I normally have a naughty dinner on a Wednesday night after WI as its the only night I don't have to cook....however I think I'm going to try and stop it. We just got a big freezer so I am going to do some bulk cooking so I can still not cook that night but make the right choice thats the plan anyway

Any ideas for things I can bulk cook and freeze?
I've already thought of spag bol, chilli con carne and curry but any ideas/recipes gratefully received!!

TheDetective · 10/08/2013 17:34

No eggs, no mug shots, no pasta or rice in the house! About 50 tins of fecking chopped tomatoes though Hmm.

So tonight I am having comfort food for dinner. All free :)

Cheesy chips with beans and sausages!!

SW chips, HEA for the cheese, quorn low fat sausages with some beans. Awesome!

Just hope I can keep going for another 2.5 hours!!!!

Baby has finally chilled out, but I need to give him his tea now, I'm still in my PJ's, and DP finishes soon anyway. So no point getting dressed and hoiking him out to the shop now.

TheDetective · 10/08/2013 20:52

I managed to hold off. And boy was it worth it!

So yummy! The chips (big chunky ones!) were amazing. Just perfect. Crispy all the way round, and golden, without being burnt.

DP isn't quite sure how he managed it Grin. But he better manage it again next time! ;)

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 10/08/2013 21:18

Struggling at the moment - put on 2lbs last week on holiday, and now finding it hard to get back in the right frame of mind. I feel bloated today and not sure why - haven't had more than 8 Syns and my HEB, everything else free.

SummerHoliDidi · 11/08/2013 13:17

Well my plans for not having a pig out on a Saturday lasted til lunchtime Blush I forgot I was going to a wedding party last night with a big buffet. I only drank diet coke cos I was driving, but the food choices weren't particularly sw friendly, I did the best I could but the cake alone must have been about 20 syns.

So I'm about to have a big plate of chips and maybe a couple of fried eggs before I go shopping, hopefully if I'm full before I go i'll be able to resist buying chocolate and biscuits and crisps. If I only have healthy food in the house I should be able to only eat healthily, right?

iklboo · 11/08/2013 14:57

Potato cakes (made with Smash), smoked salmon & poached egg for lunch - free.

Chicken, 'free' roast potatoes, cabbage, carrots & gravy with stuffing (3.5 syns) for tea.

SW chips for supper - free.

Healthy A will be my milk. Healthy B 2 HI-FI bars.

Snack - strawberries with fat free yoghurt, ginger preserve & a little grated dark chocolate - 2 syns.

I really want my 3.5 stone award tomorrow!!!

TheDetective · 11/08/2013 21:25

I just thought I would say that butter buds are really good.

I don't like anything but butter (marge) or cheese on a jacket potato.

I like butter in my carrot and turnip.

I got fed up using syns for them.

The butter buds are great! 1/2 a syn for one sachet, which is enough for a medium sized jacket potato. I put 2 in to carrot and turnip for 3 people.

I carry them in my handbag so that if out, I can always have a jacket potato. :)

TheDetective · 11/08/2013 21:26

I've not tried them in mash as I use eggs. I wonder if they would work?!

Also. I think you can sprinkle them on veg.

BethAndHerBrood · 12/08/2013 11:28

We're going to windermere tomorrow, might go to lakeland and get some butterbuds. Have never heard of them, but they sound useful.

I'm going to try to have a few days of low syn/high speed foods. I think because some of the weight i lost last week was due to a stomach bug, i will have put on this week as i get back to normal. Which is bit disheartening, even though i know why.

PrincessScrumpy · 12/08/2013 14:09

Tried syn free pancakes for lunch and am really full. Will definitely do that again (getting a bit bored of boiled eggs).
Weigh in is tomorrow am so wasn't to be really good today.
I'm staying 4days with mil next week so sw is not an option - will be freezer food and lots of chips. Don't want to be ungrateful so will just not snack and hope for the best. Dh might find extra on his plate as I sneak it across.
Going to try chicken breast pizzas tonight with sw chips. Really looking forward to it.
Is anyone else doing coach to 5k at the same time as sw? It's my 3rd run tonight so early days but I'm an all or nothing person and if I've exercised I'm less likely to waste the exercise on eating crap.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 12/08/2013 16:59

How do you make Syn free pancakes?
